My oblivion pain is over 9000!!
My oblivion pain is over 9000!!
I used to be able play oblivion on my brothers Ps3 but after he moved out I couldn’t play it any more
. So after 2 months of my brother moving out am thinking of getting a next gen console. Am trying to find out which next gen console would be best to play oblivion and I kind of have a low budget. I can buy an X box 360 now (Premium Console) or buy a Ps3 in 8 weeks, I thought of upgrading my Pc but its like 6 years old so id have to wait like god knows when to save up enough money. I won't be able to go online properly due to me not having a wireless internet but if I want to update my games I can move the console into my computer room for a while. So which console would be best for my situation?
If XBox 360/PS3 i would choose XBox.
If Console/PC i would choose PC.
Because, with XBox you can get the official DLC's, plus lots of other cool games.
But with PC you can get lots of cool fan-made mods, plus many bug fixes or Unofficial patches to remove bugs.
You would probably have to upgrade your computer with some new graphic cards and more RAM, but that would be somewhat cheaper than buying a XBox 360 then buying Oblivion for 360.

iight i use a PS3 and it is as awsom as 360 (withouth plug in etc etc....) now my friend is asking the sa,me question as u ...PC would be best ...(im starting to regret buyin the ps3 version cuz of mods...) after id say 360 cuz u have a fair number of DLC .....altho ps3 shoundt be underestimated because...trust me ....uol find less glitchs (their will be but some more less... i might also be wrong but thats what im seing in another site/youtubes video) and if u watch the GT and IGN the oblivion on ps3 beats the graphics of 360.. and i know this is a LIL a very lil off topic...but think of also the other game that could be realesed on ps3/360/pc so ur choice....this is wat id choose....
1-PC (mods mods mods and some more mods along with a sidedish of DLC) P.S: try Ruined-tail Tale =AWSOM!!!!!!! btw with ur PC u can have a better qualityégraphic then s3..it is posssible....
2-PS3 (get urself a good tv monitor, big screen(if possible) and cry after seing the beauty of Oblivion unleash on ur good and performante PS3 ull be AMAZED trust me...detail sharp n al...but still no DLC exept for KoTN and SI
3- 360 it seem its more glitchy then the ps3 the graphic arent as good as the ps3 BUT !! its a cheaper price and got DLCs
btw heres the gt review for oblivion on the ps3..i suggest watchin it just too know cuz they compare 360and ps3 in it and its just 4 min long ..
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sQ3PnhEHOKI
and this one is for the 360..http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8lduApMm ... re=related

I know that the Ps3 oblivion comes already patched to 1.2 but I can always update oblivion using X box live on the X box 360. My brother also had a hd tv with his Ps3 so I know what its like. Also Iv seen my friend play oblivion for the X box 360 and I was shocked at how bad the graphics are but the DLC sounds cool.

well actully i cant exaclty say glitchy but on the reviews of GT that i posted earlier it said the "loading area" on the 360 are more often and frequent then on the ps3 but i dont know bout the gameplay itself in relation with glitches....but yea wat i ment was the "loading area thingy" and if u want to watch the vid it says that its in the first one. but ya sorry
i dont know wat term to use in that situation

i have oblivion on the PS3 while my boyfriend has it on the 360. i usually have to kick him off my ps3 so that I can play! the ps3 just loads a little faster since oblivion is installed to the hard drive when you first put it in. this install cuts back on the length of the loading times. if that's important to you, then i would suggest the ps3.
as for the DLC, it stinks we don't get it. but honestly, there's so much to do in this game that i kinda don't miss it (would still love it though bethesda!). and we DO get shivering isles and knights of the nine, which were the big expansions anyway.
it's obviously your choice, but ps3 is a great deal even though it is a bit more $. free online, free blu-ray, etc. i'm happy with it.

But not anytime soon... I think we said these exact same things in some other thread. The Most Unholy wrote:As well, just because PS3 doesn't have DLC doesnt mean there won't be, in fact Todd Howard has said that bethesda would like to release DLC over the PSN, whether or not this will happen is anyone's guess though.
But Bethesda is busy with Fallout 3, and then probably TES5, unless they feel like taking some kind of a break...
So if they do release the DLC onto PSN then it won't be soon.
Today I bought my X box 360 and oblivion so am as happy as can be (Allot poorer though) and I was able to link my X Box to the internet and update it so I won't have the same problems as the Ps3 and I downloaded the mages tower, the fort and the thief cave. Now my new objective is to get all the gold needed to upgrade all the DLC I got.
