O.k so I know everyone has done this, but... I just had to practice a shout at the burning man thing in Solitude, I saved first of course. The gaurd's response struck me as hilarious and I had to do it again, and again...
And do not kill a chicken..holy hell to pay! Talk about an over reaction. Geeze. Again very funny to me. I do not like killing animals randomly and have NEVER killed a bunny! I love the Kyne's peace shout now that I have it, it gets used mucho.

I was in the Bannered Mare, during its busy time of the night, when most of Whiterun's population is there, conducting a little business. Picking pockets, that is. I finish cleaning out like fifteen people, and then sit down next to Sinmir. He looks at me and says "The security in Whiterun is terrible. Shameful is what it is". I burst out laughing at the tv. I'd heard him say this many of times, of course, but this time was just perfect.

Re: Skyrim Moments You Just Have to Share!
^ That's funny. I have a similar one: Near Whiterun, my main character had fought a vampire that raised two corpses as allies. After a long fight, she goes to Whiterun where a guard says, "Ugh! That ahmuh smells terrabuhl. You been robbing graves?" At the time, I actually hadn't heard that line before and thought maybe it really was triggered by the fact my character had just fought two corpses - so I made her take a bath and "wash" the armor in the pool outside of Dragonsreach. Since then, I've realized that it was probably just a random line.

I've never heard that line, either. I did get this one yesterday. While my follower Zora (added by Interesting NPCs) was fighting a mudcrab, she yelled "Like the pinch of a mudcrab!" when it hit her.Snail's Pace wrote:^ That's funny. Speaking of picking pockets in Whiterun. Do you ever just look at the notes in thier pockets?. I found out about the Grey-Mane & Jon Battleborn secret affair that way. Yes, I have. Those two will also have a conversation about being a couple. You never know what you'll hear in this game.Ursula_Melaninbjork wrote:Speaking of picking pockets in Whiterun. IIRC that line is triggered by your wearing ancient Nord armour (since it's found in barrows, and all).Snail's Pace wrote:^ That's funny. That makes sense. I was using Ancient Nord Armor to level the character's heavy armor skill at the time (though she made the armor herself, but the game apparently doesn't distinguish between found armor and character-made armor).

I just heard that converstion today with my NEW character, must have missed it the first 3 times...New guy, vampire. Leveled up 3 times today. Still weak, but I am getting the hang of it. Sleeping and sipping on Marcurio for now. Not sure who my next juicey follower shall be. Someone with more meat on them probably.Hrolf Alfblod wrote:Yes, I have. The other thing I did today was watch some super funny Skyrim Youtube videos spoofing COPS. OMG if you all have not seen these you need to check it out! (FYI probably not as funny if you have not actually watched the show COPS)

I was fighting a Flame Atronach (after it killed a Vigilant of Stendarr), and got a chaser killcam with a bow. Since I'm using Audio Overhaul for Skyrim, there's a whistling sound for arrows if they're close enough. So I got to watch the arrow fly toward the Atronach whistling the whole way.

Re: Skyrim Moments You Just Have to Share!
I was walking from Yngvild to Solitude when I saw something moving in the distance and went over to investigate. Suddenly a bandit from nowhere started firing arrows and then also from nowhere two giants and a mammoth were behind me. They were all in a very angry mood so I ran away, as the fight was between the bandits and giants.
Unfortunately, my partner Marcurio decided to not be as evasive and from my safe spot a saw him in the midst of a giant/mammoth brawl.
A minute later, he was flying through the air. That was the end of him!
However, the giants continued to attack something and then started walking away.
I was just about to reload to resurrect my follower, when amazingly, Marcurio came running over!
I couldnt believe he had survived a bandit, two giant, mammoth fight. Good old Marky!
( @Ursula - I watched that Skyrim COPS. Hilarious!

I tell you amusement abounds, I cannot wait to see another one. Officer Jenkins. How many did you see? The one with the Giant Exibitionist cracked me up. (they all did). And yeah, Marcurio is such a badass for a little dude. I did not survive a Giant launching me, not at all. (it was an impressive sight, however.)Aarah wrote:I was walking from Yngvild to Solitude when I saw something moving in the distance and went over to investigate. I got a letter from the psychic Calcelmo about my recently-purchased Dwarven Armor. The courier didn't reach me, however, until just after I'd melted the armor down (Meltdown perk from SkyRe). Guess I'll have to "find another one" after all, because there's no way he's getting the enchanted set I found.

Re: Skyrim Moments You Just Have to Share!
I've got the Followers Can Relax mod, and I usually enable the relaxation mode on my followers by picking the corresponding dialogue option after I've recruited them. For those who don't know the mod, it makes followers interact with their environment, much like Serana does.
Anyway, my new dark elf Amara went to Whiterun to tell Jarl Balgruuf about the dragon. She goes into Dragonsreach and is stopped by Irileth, who draws her sword and questions Amara about what exactly she wants from the jarl. And just as the conversation with Irileth starts I see my follower Faendal calmly sit down at the jarl's table, grab a tankard and start drinking. He behaved as if he owned the place

I hope they have something like that in an upcoming game release. That is a pet peeve of mine.Dark Heart wrote:I've got the Followers Can Relax mod, and I usually enable the relaxation mode on my followers by picking the corresponding dialogue option after I've recruited them. Different subject; In Jorrvaskr Torvar appeared in his sleeping area as a dead guy. He was killed on a quest some days earlier, and I did not re=spawn him. Now people walk past him and regard his body with "I'm going to get who ever did this", etc. Frank decided to do a weekend at Bernie's thing with him and propped him up on a chair. He has been in his bed, on the floor, in Farkas' room at the bar, and in a corner covered in clothes. Problem remains you cannot get rid of his remains as they are inside, so may as well decorate with him. He is probably terribly stinky by now.
Here's an update on this one after many days of Torvar dead, suddenly he is walking around today.

I watched Marcurio kamikaze off of a cliff at Lost Tongue Overlook in pursuit of the legendary dragon that completely ignored us and chose to fight the goblins in the valley down below instead. Times like that, I'm glad I always set my followers as essential.

Hmmm. A sabre-cat chased me up the ramp at Whiterun's northern watchtower. I jumped to one side as it pounced...and watched it sail right over the edge. It must have landed badly, as I found its corpse in a heap at the bottom of the tower.

Re: Skyrim Moments You Just Have to Share!
I just started a new character, and she went to talk to Mikael about Carlotta at the Bannered Mare. Sitting down, she talked to him, and was able to persuade him to back off. Right after, she asked him to play "Ragnar the Red."
So, of course, Mikael said shortly after: "I don't have much a reputation in Skyrim yet, but I'm working on that, one sweet Ragnar the Red..."!
I think Mikael is going to have a hard time with that, considering he calls Ragnar ugly in his song! He has amazing wooing talents, clearly.

Here's a good one. Anika was in Sovngarde, and she walked past a Stormcloak soldier who warned her about Alduin stalking the mist. He had barely finished speaking when none other than Alduin swooped down and snatched him. Alistair was apparently right; swooping is bad.

New adventure with Frank and the Dawnguard, getting back from a quest and reporting to Isran at headquarters. Frank finds Isran, gets all the quest dialog, then Isran says, "And whatever you do don't sleep, sleeping is for the weak", as Isran is saying this he is laying down in his bed and goes to sleep! Literally, moving to bed and saying that.

I fast-traveled back to Volkihar Keep, and as I across the bridge to the castle itself I hear a voice shout to me; "VAMPIRE!" I turn and look and sure enough it was the Dawnguard. Usually I would stay and fight...however it was broad daylight outside and my stats were diminished, so I retreated inside the keep and the little Dawnguard members foolishly followed me inside...only to be massacred by about 7 master vampires including the lord of the keep himself...I had fun watching those pitiful Dawnguard members commit suicide by offering themselves to the master(s) of the keep
