Khajiit player in Skyrim
I almost always play as Khajiit. And I have some questions.
As most of you know, in the third era the Imperials took part of Elsweyr. Later Blackmarsh seceded, quickly followed by Elsweyr. So it seems the Khajiit never really liked the Imperials, or cared for them.
Now if your player is a Khajiit, what do you do? Talos is not one of the gods that the Khajiit worship. So the Khajiit do not care much about the Stormcloaks cause.
As far as I can deduce, the Thalmor tricked the Khajiit by hiding their moon and later making it re-appear. I can imagine that the Thalmor are a big threat to Elsweyr. But your character is stuck in Skyrim.
What do you do? Join the Empire you loathe so much to wreck the Stormcloaks, and make it more likely that the Empire can face the Thalmor again? Or do you remain neutral?

Take the Moonpath to Elsweyr. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/9782/?
But if that mod is a little too big for you computer (it is for mine) I usually just stay out of it on my khajiits, or go to whoever pays the best. (Imperials.)

You don't care about these human politics... stay out of it?
Or if you're dovahkiin just go with the 'government' side (imperial) up to season unending and negotiate a fair truce?
Doesn't sound like a khajiit would do much else

Re: Khajiit player in Skyrim
I would join the legion.
Once the civil war is over, the borders will open up again and you'll be able to return to Elsweyr or at least get a messenger to.
The Thalmor will be preoccupied with the legion's increasing strength, giving the Khajiit forces in Elsweyr time to get their defences in place should the conflict arrive at their doorstep.
Of course once the Stormcloaks are defeated, you break all bonds with the legion and focus on honing your DB skills to assist your people in the future.

@ break bonds. yes. I always thought it odd that I had to swear in front of tullius. Idgad about his empire. it's just the less evil choice.ElGreg wrote:I would join the legion.

I would say side with the Stormcloaks. They didn't try to kill you just because.

The Khajiit does what he/she wants,
it does not matter wich side you take as long as you re happy with it. I joint the imperials with my Khajiit also plunderd half castle Dour but that's just my love for shiny things i guess

Re: Khajiit player in Skyrim
1.) Your character may not be aware that the Thalmor tricked the Khajiit and honestly believe them your people's friends... at least until you're declared Dohvakiin and they start sending their hit squads after you. You could even roleplay having moral qualms about infiltrating the Thalmor Embassy and hoping it's all a misunderstanding which may still be cleared up...
2.) As for the war, listen to Ri'saad and Ma'dran and try to see opportunity where others see only danger. You don't really want this war to end as long as you can sell to both sides, so stay neutral as long as you can. If you absolutely have to take a part, support the better business partner (hint: it's not the Stormcloaks).
3.) In case of doubt you probably need some more sugar to make up your mind.

I played a thalmor assassin and won the civil war for the empire whilst becoming chief of the thieves guild. By a fluke Maven Blackbriar's post civil war fate dovetailed perfectly with how i played the game
being a Khaajit in Skyrim makes you half invisible, they are a nomadic presence there so its perfect cover for such a character

Isn't it kind of weird that a Khajiit, or an Argonian, or a Dunmer dragonborn can join the Stormcloaks? Starting with Ulfric, they are supposed to hate these races. You can't find a non-Nord anywhere among the Stormcloaks. Sometimes you find a Dunmer or Redguard farmer on the road who says he's going to join Ulfric, because he has the right of it. I wonder if the Stormcloaks will laugh his face off when he tells them.
Stormcloak officer: "If you're a true son of Skyrim, Ulfric Stormcloak wants to see you!"
Argonian dragonborn: "Oh yes, my dream come true! I'm 100% Nord, don't less this disguise fool you, sir!"

The PC is nord enough for Shor and Tsun, he or she's damn well nord enough for Ulfric.caralampio wrote:Isn't it kind of weird that a Khajiit, or an Argonian, or a Dunmer dragonborn can join the Stormcloaks?
