You could RP that Aerin is gay too. It removes any romantic entanglements, and leaves you with a.... flamboyant houseboy?

In all fairness to Aerin, the player character often has someone who follows them around at all times too...

Yeah, but that's usually by request.Crusader's Amour wrote:In all fairness to Aerin, the player character often has someone who follows them around at all times too...

Recruit Mjoll to the Blades then kill all the Blades then Aerin will be left moping around Sky Haven with creepy Esbern and that bi**h Delphine

Hey, now there's an idea, but then I'd be minus a spouse. Besides, Mjoll's marked as essential so looks like I'm in it for the long haul. *sigh* Me and my bright ideas.

Hey, don't feel so bad. Aerin wouldn't shut up during Andari and Athis' wedding. Now, Andari is pretty patient, but she was sorely tempted to smack him towards the end.

He used to watch my original character and Mjoll have sex at night. He was our cuckold.

I'm like you I feel uncomfortable while playing a woman and to have a guy saying romantic things and worse still, what happens when she gets the lover's comfort perk??? I can't bear him doing THAT to my innocent (well, sort of) girl. So I have a deeper dilemma than you.

Re: Help! Hugh Hefner took over my house!
Yes. Lets start the insults over differing opinions. That's very mature.
Anyway, lets try to get on topic or find a new one. Otherwise, I'm sure the mods won't mind locking this if it keeps going this way.
As for Aerin, he dies even on my good characters saves. Sometimes by accident, such as vampires, and other times by "accident", such as wildlife.

Hey OP the only way to get rid of him is to kill him or allow him to be killed, If you don't wont to do that because you can't separate the game from reality and your bound by some sort of nerd morality code then you'll just have to deal with him and quit whining.

Even after the warning, you still use insults? I just don't understand....
Anyway, I would say just have him be her personal servant. Eventually, depending on where you live, something is going to happen and then you won't have to worry about it.

Yeah, um, that "nerd morality code" has nothing to do with my ability to separate fantasy and fiction from reality. As a matter of fact, it's called "role play" for a reason, and it's that very device, mechanism and vehicle that dictates many such "choices" in-game. In other words, I make a distinction from "character knowledge" and "player knowledge" and I don't (usually) play my character as arbitrarily capricious based on corruption, greed or selfish personal desire, or for mindless entertainment. I actually see more of that around me in real life than in many of the fantasy role playing games I've played, so for me to play something rationally and sensibly based on principles is effectively my "escape" from the insane asylum most people refer to as "reality".Raynil dralas wrote:Hey OP the only way to get rid of him is to kill him or allow him to be killed, If you don't wont to do that because you can't separate the game from reality and your bound by some sort of nerd morality code then you'll just have to deal with him and quit whining.
Any way, back on topic. The good news is that I finally got Mjoll's default equipment to reset and the wiki was correct. It was her ring. A top quality, but mundane, gold diamond ring, so it was just a matter of finding an enchanted ring worth more. As soon as I came across one, I had her equip it, bought her default ring, so now she doesn't lounge around like a beach bunny at the playboy mansion. She's now properly attired and suited, even "off duty" as it were, with the added benefit of actually equipping and wearing her own "Bond of Matrimony".

Re: Help! Hugh Hefner took over my house!
Honestly, I think we need to be a little more open-minded about Aerin. So Mjoll undresses while he's in the house - what's the big deal? Back in my student days, I knew those people who had their shower right in the kitchen; whenever I stayed with them, it was perfectly normal for naked people to come and go while the rest of us were having breakfast. Or think of it this way - she's fond of him and indulges him for auld lang syne, but you know she'll leave him standing there and follow you whenever adventure calls, right? So guess whom she loves more.
Finally, if you have to fantasize about "innocent girls" because putting yourself in the shoes of a normal, sexually active woman is too scary you have bigger issues to work out than Aerin. Just saying.

If male characters flirting with your character bother you, just don't talk to them with an amulet of Mara around your neck. Problem solved. And if you can't stand getting Lovers' Comfort from a guy, either don't play a female character or don't get married, it's that simple.caralampio wrote:I'm like you I feel uncomfortable while playing a woman and to have a guy saying romantic things and worse still, what happens when she gets the lover's comfort perk??? How adorably simplistic. Did you think of that all by yourself? How cute! Now, rather back on topic and speaking of topics, did you have something to actually contribute to the thread , or did you just stop by to impress us with your insightful observations (backed up by a multitude of qualifications, I'm sure)? I'd be happy to continue the banter via PM, although I'm not usually in the habit of engaging the unarmed in battles of wit.Raynil dralas wrote:You need Therapy.
