Dohva must have a problem with CHIM.

I don't know, there's a familiarity about her, when in contact with her, his soul feels complete. She's that something that's been missing, but he never even realized it was gone, until he met her. Everyone tells him it's just some crush, but he knows it's more. He starts delving into texts, tomes, and ancient lore, of all sorts, researching the concept of soul-mates, passed lives, and such, always finding little bits here and there that expand his obsession, until he turns to daedric help.

Just what was Onmund's past with Herma-Mora anyway? Never could find it...

Ah CBR, allow me to explain. :D

The first time Sylmirie and Onmund were married, she gave birth to a stillborn daughter. That was the beginning of a downward spiral for her and it culminated when Meeko passed away from old age. Sylmirie went crazy and poisoned herself. In his grief, Onmund searched through her belongings for something that would bring her back (and have their child born and live this time around). He turned to Hermaeus Mora (when he found his tome among her belongings) and asked if he could bring the three of them back together. HM said yes, but that it would come at the cost of her soul, specifically, because she was Dovahkiin.

Thus in the second story line for Sylmirie and Onmund, she discovered that he had sold her to Hermaeus Mora and that [&@%!] her off eternally. Her continuing love affair with Ondolemar also added to the tension between them. And here you have 'As Tamriel Turns'.

Sylmirie... I think I spotted that name on Elderstats.

I decided to start roleplaying as well, so here is my first piece of writing (background and some general info) :D.
Spoiler:
~ General Info:
Name: Amy La Roche
Age: 20
Race: Breton
Class: Spellsword
Skills: One-Handed, Heavy Armour, Magic in general and Smithing

~ Background:
Snornhelm, one of the main cities in High Rock, has been the place Amy called home for nineteen years. She spent her childhood within the safe walls of the city and did not have to worry about the political struggles and choices her family had to deal with. Hailing from noble descent, her family has always played a significant role in shaping the political course of Snornhelm. Amy's father, Ferald La Roche, was a trusted advisor of the Lariat family - the undisputed rulers of the city and its surrounding territory. When Amy reached the age of sixteen however, her father fell in disgrace with the Lariats after a disastrous event which caused the city to lose a large regiment of soldiers and supplies. Eventually he was arrested by the royal guard for treason and locked up in the cities' dungeons. Since then, his fate remains unknown. Beset my grief, her mother Melian was then assisted by her brother to take care of Amy. He gave his niece a basic training of swordplay and he learned her how to maintain and wear heavy armour. Members of the La Roche family were gifted warriors, and somewhat skilled at using several types of magic as well; Amy proved to be a quick learner.

At the age of twenty Amy journeyed to Skyrim, knowing that her future would not be too bright in High Rock since her family fell from grace. She hopes to hone and mature her skills in the harsh climate of Skyrim. One day, she will find out what happened to her father and restore the honour of her family. When she finally made it to the border, she ran into an Imperial patrol and was brought to Helgen alongside some other prisoners after being mistaken for a Stormcloak...

Blackbird, that's her. :)

Ok, here's the next part:

3.
Spoiler:
Sylmirie’s hands trembled around the tankard of warm wine the housecarl had given her. She brought its rim to her pale lips, allowing the heat to warm her mouth. She pressed a cheek against the tankard and gazed into the hearth’s flames beside her. It felt good to be home.

Aicantar’s low voice flowed from the hallway behind her. He stood at the front door of their home conversing with Onmund, but she couldn’t hear what they were saying. She pressed the tankard against her forehead and sighed. Thank the Divines that Elenaril hadn’t been hurt.

She set the tankard down on the hearth’s stone ledge and stood up to stretch. Her left shoulder ached from having hit the walkway when the Khajit attacked them. She rolled it forward and back with a groan. Aicantar would have to rub lavender poultice on it before they turned in for the night.

She walked out of the sitting room and turned left towards the front hallway. The men’s voices could be heard clearer when she neared. She placed her hand on the edge of the wall and leaned up against it, eyelids heavy from exhaustion. She must speak to her husband first before going to bed.

“Thank you, once again, for saving my family’s life.” Aicantar said and shook Onmund’s hand. “If it weren’t for you--I--I don’t know what would have happened.”

“There is no need to thank me.” Onmund said. He caught Sylmirie’s gaze over Aicantar’s head and sent her a partial smile. “If she were my wife, I’d expect the same.”

Sylmirie stiffened and her lips spread to a thin line. Although she felt grateful to the Nord for saving her and Elenaril’s lives, his interest in her placed an awkward sensation in her breast. She knew what a man’s lustful intention towards her felt like. She could sense Onmund’s interest in her included much more than the desire for a friendly connection.

“Please, take the gold.” Aicantar said and pulled a small bag of coin out of his satchel. He shoved it into Onmund’s unsuspecting hands. “ There is no other way I could thank you better.”

Onmund’s mouth parted and he chuckled. Red flushed his cheeks. “I couldn’t. I can’t take your gold for this.”

Aicantar insisted. “As a meager apprentice, I’m sure you’re in need of gold, right? Take it. Maybe it can buy you a new spell or a couple potions.”

Sylmirie bit down on her lip and narrowed her eyes at the Nord. He did remind her of someone...but she couldn’t place it. No bother. She shook her head and turned to walk away, but Aicantar called out to her.

“Darling, I didn’t know you were standing there. Are you all right?”

She glanced over her shoulder at him. Worry in his eyes, he extended a hand out to her.

“I’m fine.” She said with a half smile. “I just wanted to wish you good-night before I headed to bed.”

“Our girl?”

“Argis tucked her in. She should be asleep by now.”

Aicantar excused himself with Onmund and walked over to Sylmirie. He brought her face close to his and gave her a solid kiss on the lips. “By the Gods, I love you so much.”

She nodded and glanced over at the apprentice, who stared down at the floor, blushing. She looked back up at her husband. “And I love you, dear.”

Aicantar squeezed her nape with his cool hand. “Darling, we can’t take anymore chances. I’ve hired Onmund to watch over you until we find who is responsible for this.”

Sylmirie’s heart thrashed inside her chest. Breath escaped from her throat. “What?”

Her husband nodded and smiled. “Yes. He’s agreed to protect you while you’re at the Keep and outside of Markarth’s walls gathering the ingredients for your potions. I can’t be with you at all times and--”

“No.” She shook her head wildly. “This is why we have a housecarl.”

“We need him to watch over Elenaril.” Aicantar said. His eyes darted from hers to Onmund’s and back to hers again. “Its a perfect set up, my love. We’ll find out who did this but in the meantime, we need to keep you safe.”

She frowned up at him. “The Thalmor did this. We can’t possibly go after them. And I don’t need a nanny. I can take plenty good care of myself.”

Onmund cleared his throat down by the door. He raised a hand up at her. “Ma’am, I’m more than willing to--”

“I don’t need you to take care of me, boy.” Sylmirie said. “I wield more power than you could ever imagine exists in this world.”

“But--”

“Aicantar, I cannot accept this.” She said, fists clenched. “How dare you not ask me first?”

Aicantar wrinkled his eyebrows and his mouth twitched into a pout. “I thought you would be satisfied with this arrangement. I can’t have you dead.”

“Satisfied?” She said and let out an exaggerated sigh. “I am not a child! I am the Dovahkiin!”

“And even the Dovahkiin needs additional help watching over her shoulder.” Aicantar said. “This is my decision for our family and its a final one. Onmund here will take the gold as payment for his service, and be ready to report for his first shift tomorrow morning. I don’t want you walking around Markarth alone anymore.”

Sylmirie’s mouth gaped open. “Am I to take you seriously? This is insane. We have a housecarl that can watch over Elenaril and I.”

“He is to watch over our child only and that is the end of this discussion.” Aicantar said. He put his hands on top of Sylmirie’s shoulders and stared her dead in the eyes. “That Khajit nearly killed you. One person isn’t enough to take care of our high profile family. What is it about all of this that you do not understand?”

The seriousness in his tone made her back down. And he made sense for once. Being one person, Argis couldn’t take care of Elenaril while she worked. And Aicantar spent plenty of time in his private office doing his own experiments. Much as she hated admitting surrender on this one, she nodded.

“I suppose he was going to be spending some time with me anyway.” She said reluctantly.

“Ma’am, I’ll do my best to defend you.” Onmund said with his hand still raised. He lowered it after Sylmirie sent him a scowl. “I’ll let Tolfdir know that I won’t be leaving back to Markarth with him at the end of the week.”

“I’ll pay for your stay at the tavern.” Aicantar said and patted Sylmirie’s shoulders. “Let’s head over there now.”

He leaned in to kiss Sylmirie but she turned her face away and pulled her shoulders back from him. She seethed.

“I know you’re upset.” He said softly. “But I think you’ll grow accustomed to the arrangement.”

Sylmirie crossed her arms and scowled. She didn’t appreciate him making such an...arrangement...behind her back. She and Aicantar could speak of anything. Why had he not approached her with the idea first?

Because he knew she wouldn’t accept. Even she knew that.

He wished her goodnight and led Onmund out of Vlindrel Hall. The metal doors creaked open and slammed shut. She hated not having a choice when it came to personal matters. Or matters of any sort, really.

With a curse, she stomped her foot and stormed back into the sitting room. She grabbed the tankard of wine and threw it across the room, the contents spilling red across the stone walls and floor. She resisted the urge to scream, lest she wake Elenaril up.

Attempts on her life were nothing new, though being attacked inside the city itself was a first. She covered her face with her hands and choked a breath. Now she had to deal with the apprentice for the Divines knew how long. She must get rid of him somehow. She would need to come up with ideas...fast.

Blackbird: Welcome! I look forward to reading more on Amy.

Dohva: I love what you're doing here. Sylmirie is SO different though. Neither of the others would have submitted to having a mere apprentice as her bodyguard. Just saying, lol. Regardless, this was another great piece by you.

I really need to get on the ball, and write some more. I'm sorry, everyone, that I haven't been doing much of that, lately.

Hrolf, its because she respects Aicantar more as a husband than she did Onmund. But she isn't that different. She has her own ideas of things. Let the story develop more before you start thinking she's really changed. :D And don't worry about not writing. You submitted a story to the competition!

Just because I say she's different doesn't stop me from loving her story. There's nothing wrong with her being different. I like seeing her this way. It's just weird, lol.

As to my story for the competition, apparently it's dark, twisted, and sick. :Twisted Evil: I guess I was successful then.
