^^Speaking of Sapphire, there's a woman who deserves some happiness if there is one in all of Skyrim. Same for Angi, who could have made a great companion too.
(Come to think of it, I could see my reincarnated sneaky Bosmer take Sapphire on a bandit-killing spree, once she joins the Thieves Guild... love affair not excluded maybe. AFT makes a lot of things possible.)

Ria is so weird. "I killed a bear today; did you kill anything?" -puppy eyes- Sounds almost like a Dark Sister.

I love me some Sapphire. She's so sweet once you get to know her.

Definitely. Never thought a blonde would turn my character's head, but there you are. She is his bride (PC) now.

Of course, my other males almost always marry Uthgerd. She_is_awesome. 8)

Hearthfire... I don't have that. But apparently, Annekke isn't committed to her marriage if she can be so easily swayed.
I tried Annekke as steward, but I got so fed up hearing about the gorgeous tree all the time that I dismissed her (I found some console commands that worked).
She is my PC character's steward (2nd fave unmarriageable, best pseudo-Forsworn ever) and the solution to your conundrum is to not clear the skeevers out of the cellar. At least that relieves the monologue, and you may find that preferable. Be sure to reverse pickpocket some decent weapons onto her, as stewards can die when outside.

Yatul. Since she isn't available, I'll stick with Borgakh the Steel Heart for my current. Or, I should say, the plan is to gain her favor in the future. Now is clobberin' time and marriage isn't high on the agenda.

There's only a few women in Skyrim that I'd marry but can't: Vex, Ingun Black-Briar and Faralda. Serana wouldn't be bad, either, if she wasn't so obsessed with the weather, which always seems to be bad for her.

Serana does complain a lot, but it's all worth it when you get a "oh wow, this is gorgeous. I'm glad you're here with me".

Oh, and I just found a couple more. Tormir in Darkwater Crossing and Sylgja in Shor's Stone. Oh, wait. Crap, you CAN marry Sylgja, but she's a homebody. Bummer.

That's the impression I get. She can be insulting, but I've taken her along as a follower and she was much nicer. Besides, can you blame Njada for resenting the PC? Frankly, I didn't think my character deserved to be named Harbinger, either. I'd be resentful, too, if someone came from out of nowhere and
Spoiler:
was promoted to Harbinger because of Kodlak's hallucination.
I think she's similar to Grelka, who I mentioned earlier. Something went terribly wrong in that woman's life - an attractive Nord woman who's an expert light armor trainer, living in a bunkhouse with elves and skooma-addicted lizards. I suspect she would become a different person if you moved her out of the bunkhouse. And Grelka is supposed to be a marriage candidate but it is bugged.

Why would anyone want to marry a prostitute? Whoa, I wouldn't want my Dovahkiin around that mess of a woman.

I'm talking about Grelka. Why would anyone want to marry her? Let's take aside the fact that she's rude, and cruel to her niece, but she sells herself for money. :/

Ah, yes I am! I apologize. I was referring to Haelga. WHoops! Grelka is the merchant, right? She's a bit harsh when it comes to personality but there has to be a soft interior to her. I always wonder what makes her want to leave Skyrim so badly. There has to be more to it than what she's saying.

No worries. I probably shouldn't have strung you along like that. Yeah, Grelka is definitely harsh, but it seems that she has experienced some really bad luck to end up where she is and her living arrangement probably has her constantly on edge. That's why I place her really high on my list on "great women who can't be married" - she has so much potential to change for the better if she can get out of her present circumstances.

Haelga isn't a prostitute, she's just...deeply religious.

In all seriousness though, as far as I can tell the reason for her bedhopping is pleasure rather than business. She's kind of a jerk, but not all ladies of Dibella are like that; Senna is quite sweet.

LOL. And ... look up sacred prositution in Wikipedia. Heck, just read Herodotus. Well worth your time.

The real problem with Haelga is her bad attitude, IMHO. Pleasure, perhaps, but she is just obnoxious.

One of my Dovahkiin is a prostitute and an adherent to Dibella, and she is happily and openly married. Not an NPC example but

Anyway, I've always thought Voldsea Giryon and Idesa Sadri were attractive, maybe I have a thing for deep-voiced handsome elf women.

One could actually marry some or all of the mentioned in this thread, using console? Does that actually work? I haven't done it from fear of bugging something. I would love to marry that bard from the Winking Skeever, Lissette. Beautiful voice.

Akasha would never have anything to do with Mara or her silly temple, so no marriage for her. However, she has been wooing Ingun Black-Briar with deathbells and staying up all night enumerating all the various ways that she could kill her grandmother. When Akasha finally does break Ingun's heart, she'll have the good grace to eat it immediately afterwards.

Has anyone ever tried to console-marry Maven Black-Briar? I know she doesn't have the dialogue, but if I ever do the Dawnguard questline again, I think I'd get a big kick out of taking Maven back to Volkihar Keep and making her my dark bride/slave.

What about Lisette, the Winking Skeever Bard? She's a real beauty and looks gorgeous in that scaled armour, and I bet those deft, slender fingers can do a lot more than just play the harp, plus her dialogue shows "an inviting attitude", as the wiki puts it: "You should think about staying the night... Feel free to make requests..." Don't mind if I do, sweetie!

I can't believe no one, including myself, mentioned Danica Pure-Spring. Well, at least that's been rectified now.

Also, Niranye. I love her voice and personality. She seems OK for an Altmer, and would be a great mate for a shady character. And in her line "I'd travel more, but who wants to deal with all the soldiers these days?" there's a subtle break in her voice on the word "soldiers" that gets me every time.
