Well, I know that it wasn't the story preventing me from switching, because the very mission I was on required me to switch to Franklin. The wheel didn't even show up with his icon flashing, it was only the text at the bottom of the screen telling me to. The problem was definitely the character selector itself... the only thing left to see now is whether it's working when I pick it up again today.

I wish you could switch to whoever in missions, instead of being forced sometimes.

Well the character switcher is working again, thankfully, but I haven't been able to connect to Online for a day. I keep getting a message that "The Rockstar cloud servers are unavailable" or something like that.

I am encountering similar problems. Though, sometimes it works, I can't really get into games with other players.

Yeah, I was able to reconnect today but I still got "timed out" and returned to single player when I tried to play a Crooked Cop match. I was able to go 4 and 0 in a Last Team Standing game, though. Single-handedly won it with nothing but a pistol after the rest of my team had gotten themselves killed.

Online is hella [&@%!] fun if you get in with a group of friends. I was playing for like 5 hours tonight with a few of the guys I work with as well as a forum friend and it was awesome. We raced, we shot each other, we took selfies together, went to a strip club, got shot in a strip club, ran screaming from the strip club, sold meth, and just had a normal Saturday night y'know.

That seems like the best option until the servers are better.

Ugh this game really let me down, I played it for like 10 days, beat it on the fifth and haven't touched it sense. I was really hoping for a San Andreas 2 but this game was too much like GTA 4 imo besides the driving mechanics.

I mean it's a great game I just expected better coming from R*, I've been playing New Vegas over the last couple of days for the twentieth+ time and it never gets old despite the occasional freezing.

The cops were the main issue and seemed to hand me wanted stars like candy on Halloween and hiding in bushes gets old.

Also, idk why but for whatever reason I had to force myself to complete the main storyline. It wasn't fun for me at all and just seemed like busywork half the time, free roam was as great as it's ever been if not better though and I liked the wilderness but there was like NOTHING in comparison to Skyrim's wilderness or the Fallout wastelands where you run into stuff all the time. I spent an entire day wandering around out there just seeing if there was any stuff to do besides diving and biking up a mountain and was left disappointed.
