Id say definitely slower than that for ice. Anything that reduces the coefficient of friction to essentially zero should be tackled at minimal speeds.

Not learning yet, I still have to get my permit. When I do get my permit, I will learn on my mother's car, which is an automatic. I would learn manual from my father, but his car is a brand new Audi (to stop me from learning manual on it  ), and I doubt he would let me drive his car anyway.

Not meaning to interrupt the current discussion, but here are my swords I made; Just came around to take their picture, which I was meaning to do since yesterday... I also made the table which holds them. The new sword is the one in the center. The old one is just below it.

Man, so I have to listen to an hour long jazz radio broadcast for this Jazz History class. I am not a huge fan of jazz, and after about 20 minutes I sorta feel like I'm stuck in an elevator. It's just grating on me.

A song here and there I don't mind. But it's not what I want to spend an hour doing. I don't have the ear to identify instruments or even if the music "swings" or not, and I have to make note of both of those things. So not only is it a barrage of music I'm not overly partial to, its quite difficult for me to figure out what is going on.

What's the deal with the total ban on alcohol for under 21s in this country? In the UK, you're allowed to have beer or some such equivalent with a meal if your over 14 and a responsible adult buys it and supervises you while you drink it. Just now I had the nicest mac & cheese I've ever had but it was spoilt by having to watch my aunt drInk this really heavenly looking regional pumpkin beer the whole time.

Let's be real, here. I'd like to study in the US but I sure am glad I won't be starting until I'm a couple of months away from turning 21. I come from a Portuguese-descended family living in a city in the UK that plays host to the headquarters of the Campaign for Real Ale. I'm pretty sure that if my blood alcohol content drops below .05%, I explode.

At least in my state, under-21s are allowed if your parent is provides it and supervises you as well. That isn't all that commonly used, though - for the most part, either under-21s don't have any, or they just obtain it illegally.
