Interesting Fighters Guild bug

hey all. Long time no see.

So anyway, I did the rat quest in anvil, got a promotion, and then did the goblin mine quest in cheydinhal, and now I'm stuck in quest limbo and can't complete any quests at all for the fighters guild. I think what happened is Azzan won't give another quest if I haven't done the unfortunate shopkeeper, but he won't give the unfortunate shopkeeper quest to me at my current rank.

Anyway, thought I'd share.

If you're on PC, use a console command to add the quest.
If you're on XBox or PS3, i dont know what to do.

The unfortunate shopkeeper quest doesn't require a rank, I think.

It comes right after the Rat Problem quest, and you are at that point only an associate.

Have you actually completed the Rat Problem quest? Reward and all?
And make sure you have also gotten your reward off of Burz for the Desolate Mine quest.

I'm not sure why this is happening. If you're on the xbox or PS3, you might have to re-load a save from before you joined the fighters guild and do it again or just not do it with this character, or start a new character.

The console to add the quest for the PC is: setstage FGC02Protect 10.

Azzan does not give out quests all of the time. If he is in his office, sitting in his chair, and he is eating, you have to wait until he is done eating. This is during his lunch, which is a little long. It can go from noon, to 3pm sometimes. ...I guess he is just hungry.

You sure are a Oblivion Version of Rohugh(Sorry if i have stated it otherwise)

That thing about Azzan eating, just wait till he's done.

yeah... no. None of your guys' tips helped. I tested Azzan a ton of different times. The whole chain was bugged. I had to use setstage the whole way through. My fighters guild quests seem to be working fine now though.
