ugh. trying to get my point across to some idiot who refuses to elaborate on his argument beyond say my argument is invalid (summing it up... greatly) and the main people in the discussion are all using the same arguments used in a topic basically identical to it from about four years ago.

I'm sorry that I was 5 minutes late (not 10 minutes, not 20, but 5, so get it right) coming back from lunch, but my personal life is always going to be more important than this job, and the call I was on was more important than getting back on time. I'm sorry that we're short-handed, but that isn't my fault. It's ok for YOU to not show up to work for hours, leaving me to do your job, in order for you to plan your wedding, but me taking 5 minutes is SO horrendous! I believe I've ranted about this before but it deserves reiterating:

When you're visiting the busiest train station in Europe during one of the busiest hours of the day you do NOT stop in the middle of a busy corridor to ponder life's existence/check a timetable without moving out of everyone's way first. I don't care if you're from one of those savage cultures that doesn't teach you the value of queuing properly, this is basic common sense. Honestly, these idiots need to get punched in the face. There are a lot of people on tight schedules who have just spent a couple of hours cooped up in a tiny train carriage already and they do not want to have to be held up even more because Mr Important decided he couldn't be arsed to make his way to the side of a corridor to take his phone call. I finally understand how you work. You build me up just to knock me down. I finally get a job and i end up without one after a week. Well, [&@%!] you. Dorm [&@%!].

For orientation we were put into groups of people from our own dorm, and for the most part I became friends with most of them. Some people fit in better than others and I foudn myself sitting next to this check for like, an hour and a half long show. She was pretty odd and didn't fit in very well so I decided to be nice, thinking that it's best to do that. That's genuine right? Something a nice person would do.

So when she stops by my room later (she lived down the hall) to say hi I don't think anything of it, but then she just stands there. Keep in mind it isn't just me in the dorm, but there's like 5 other people in the room at the same time. Now we're getting creeped out. For several reasons:

• She's not in the conversation at all
• She laughs like an insane person at random [&@%!], and it's pretty [&@%!] weird.
• We're all giving her the cold shoulder, because none of us want her there but none of us want to be a dick and tell her to GTFO.

This has gone on for weeks now. Just the other night, she decided it was appropriate to "hang out" in the neighbors' room (because of the dorm setup, we're all basically roommates). My roommates take this as an impetus to close our door, but she's still there. Standing. She makes weird squeaks and other noises that she thinks are playful but we think are creepy. She fires a nerf gun in the room, empties it, and picks up one of the darts and does something that my roommate could only describe as "fondling."

Of course she is not involved in the conversation at all, and we're all giving each other knowing looks. "Yeeeaaah..." This is like the fourth time that has happened. She comes by on the balcony that our dorms open up to, and if the blinds are open, makes eye contact. But it's not normal eye contact. It's some wide-eyed, sanity starved grin. And then she does her signature squealing. She doesn't do this with just me. She does this with my other roommates too.

I know her roommates are. I never see them with her. They're always with other people, never this person. I know why this person was so odd and didn't fit in, it was because she was so socially retarded that she was unable to be anything else. And I enabled that, and now me and 5 other guys are suffering for that. This person seriously doesn't register that we do not want to speak with her, at all. We close the doors when she's around, we give her the most cold shoulders that we can muster, and none of that works. She's still there. Fun fact: Of my roommates, no one knows her name but me, so that just makes it creepier.

God. Dammit.
