Re: Grand Theft Auto V
Indeed, I'll get to s computer tonight hopefully and write out more, but yes it is amazingly enjoyable. The story is engaging and characters are hilarious. IV had me cringing at some characters, but I'm loving everyone I've met.

Re: Grand Theft Auto V
IV kind of put me off of the GTA series (and it was the first one I bought because of the hype). I'm willing to give it a second chance, though.

Re: Grand Theft Auto V
GTA V is far better then GTAIV. They were not joking when they mentioned the size of Los Santos. Los Santos itself is [&@%!] huge! The gunplay and driving is better, the friends mechanic is not annoying. As in, if you want to hang out with a friend, you decide. Not them every few seconds. And the humour is back. Unlike Liberty City, Los Santos does not look depressing.
There are many things to do. From playing the stock market, which I have no clue how it works to playing golf. It's worth picking up as they have learned from their mistakes. Oh and the three protagonists works flawlessly. Okay, there is a 5 second delay between switching characters but it's handled in a way that doesn't annoy you. Will warn you that it does crash sometimes as i've had it crash on me 3-5 times.

Probably because I am too busy playing the game to post a lot about it.Musicman247 wrote:Is it telling that conversation in the Bioshock Infinite thread went over details and intricacies of the game while this thread has been reduced to people saying, "Fun game!" "I agree!" "What they said!"

Re: Grand Theft Auto V
Are you aware of how big multiplayer is going to be? That seems to be where the longevity of this game will live, so while the single player seems to be a one and done kind of thing, GTA Online, in my opinion, will be the emphasis of this game at the end of the day.

Re: Grand Theft Auto V
So I picked it up on Friday evening, and I have to say - this game is fantastic. After playing it for the weekend, I've barely even scratched the surface of the campaign (just completed the first heist today) and yet I'm still finding it awesomely fun. I'm looking forward to when Online comes out, and I'll be able to play the multiplayer with my friends.
Start the groove.

Just beat the main storyline.
Did anyone else see option A and B coming since before the game came out?

Re: Grand Theft Auto V
I've completed the first heist yesterday for the 3rd time. I've restarted the game twice due to me rushing it. I chose the best people for the roles that were required and used the smart option. Again. I'm surprised that the game is very smooth due to how large it is and the amount of stuff Rockstar has crammed into it. And the PS3 only has 512MB of Ram. Okay, it does have it's drops in frame rate every now and then but i think it only drops to 25FPS for a few seconds. It also lags a bit but that's a rare thing. Same with the crashes. Seriously, how did Rockstar create the biggest open world game that i've ever played without the PS3 version crashing every few minutes?

Re: Grand Theft Auto V
Any idea of when this game will be ported to PC? I can't wait. Also, are you forced to snipe in this game? (I hate sniping.
) And are you forced to do the main questline to visit other parts of San Andreas?

and for me, the pull was never the missions. even single player, there's a lot of [&@%!] to do in los santos. it's open world. see how many cars you can push into the river while flying sideways over the road.

GTA V is a bit crazy. I can tell that they saw Saints Row and went, "Oh, you like that? We'll [&@%!] give you the best GTA to date."

I'm not even sure what that means. Though they both involve criminals, they are not really that related.
Also, in the grand scheme of things, that isn't that crazy. Trevor does plenty of much crazier things

Re: Grand Theft Auto V
True but it doesn't just consist of stealing cars and a handful of buildings. It's basically LA with a few minor adjustments and an entire county. That said, it was unfair to mention that as i realise that GTA doesn't really have thousands of items to remeber and other stuff like that.sevenindasun wrote:Thelastdovah wrote:I've completed the first heist yesterday for the 3rd time. Re: Grand Theft Auto V
Yea, I'm not knocking the game by any means.. I love it, might play thru again with dif choices until online comes.. But yea gta gives us a massive map to explore but little reward other than achievements...
So I jes found out you will be able to use real money to buy your way through the online ranks... So does this mean all the spoiled kids with a few 100 bucks to throw away will go around and buy all the property's before I get home from work, lol.. I sure hope not, I was looking forward to a level playing field... This is terrible news...

Re: Grand Theft Auto V
It will be out at some point as i think Rockstar are using their internal studio that does the ports and want to avoid a repeat of GTAIV on the PC. Probably be out by christmas as i suspect they had either the internal studio or the external one work on it either at the same time or just after the entire game was finished.
