Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
I finally remembered to mix more fry food earlier. Used up the rest of my bloodworms, krill, and guppy flakes. Along with half the powdered fry food I already had. Going to have to find more of them at some point. If it's possible, anyway. I don't think the pet store carries those brands of food anymore.
Anyway, I spent the day writing and watching movies. Watched How to Train Your Dragon again, along with the second and third Harry Potter films.
Other than that, I made fun of my currently radioactive mother. She said the radioactive iodine that she drank tasted like somebody was burning rubber tires in her mouth, with sweaty gym socks on top. Sounds... Lovely. Ick.
I've had some annoying body pain all day. Woke up with a headache, then slowly, everything else started to hurt. My back is currently both sore and stiff, along with my neck. Heating pad helps for a while. Feels like the flu, though I don't know where I would have picked it up.
Meh. It'll pass.
I think I'm just going to watch the rest of this Voyager episode and then go to bed.

I had one class, wherein I finally got my capstone project (writing an inventory program or site, not sure which yet, for the computer department), so we'll begin that in earnest on Monday. Went to a meeting at school later on, and the pizza delivery guy arrived 25 mins late.

Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
I finally got internet set up in my new place! Praise the heavens.
I'm still moving in, though. You forget just how tough it is to move in, and it was quite difficult for me, since we went from a house to a townhouse, which means we also have two storage lockers full of our other goodies. But all I really have left to do is the art/computer room and the living room, and then I'm done. It was no small challenge, either. This townhouse is amazing, located right in the valley with beautiful views of the hills, but it is so 1950s.
Can't wait until we move into our house already...and then never move again. At least, not for a very, very, very long time.
On the plus side, having my resume looked at in the nearby arsenal today! Which is great, because I can't get on there without military or government clearance, and all the best jobs are there. Super excited!

Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
Nice! Having moved in and having everything functioning is a great feeling.
As for me: I was late to work this morning, but it's alright because no one will ever find out. Pretty quiet day. My 3DS arrived; without a charger. Luckily I know an electronics store that's open past 7 so I should be able to pick one up before the day is over. Animal Crossing, here I come.

Today I got back from a two week military exercise, walking between 20-30 miles every day with 30kg of Bergan on my back. My feet are screaming at me still, especially my heels, but it feels amazing to be finally back in a heated building in comfier clothes than combats and boots...

Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
I came to the realization that it was my non-drowsy allergy medication that was keeping me up at night. Now I've stopped taking it, which means the nasal congestion feels twice as bad as it was. Bah.
Anyway, I watched the fourth Harry Potter film and messed around on my PC.
Had to troubleshoot one issue with Skyrim (turns out my PC really didn't like that sun texture I found), then spent a while attempting to come up with a decent replacer for Deadly Dragons' ugly toy-like Sun Dragon. I've got one (using the Frost Dragon mesh and tweaked versions of the textures from the Blood Dragon, Elder Dragon, and Odahviing). Not the greatest, but the Dragon doesn't look as much like a child's toy now.
Hm. Well, it's time for bed. I took some cold medication to try and take the edge off the congestion, and it's making me tired. Which is better than what the allergy medication was doing, anyway.

I don't have class on fridays, and don't start my project till Monday, so I played a lot of Guild Wars 2. Did tons of stuff with my guild today; it was pretty fun. I had only done two guild events before this, but was able to make it to a whole bunch of them today.

Taters, play nice.
Anyway, today i got an excellent bargain. I picked up the entire LOTR extended trilogy for £3.71 from the charity shop that i volunteer at. And I Robot. It wasn't even priced yet and i noticed it in a donation. Oh and a bowl that should be able to contain all of my pastabake. Did some shopping and currently eating American Hot Pizza from Tesco. Only cost me 99P instead of £2 as that is what they usually sell it for.

Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
Went shopping earlier.
First, the cashier in Walmart charged us for four ginger ales instead of the three we picked up.
Then, when we went to Tim Hortons for lunch, they told my mother that they had no soup left... When, in fact, they did (because the person at the other till managed to order soup and receive it). Which means I had no lunch.
Of course, when we were in the last store, we heard that my brother had apparently dodged a boy on a bike. Not really. Apparently he tapped the boy's bike with his truck. Why? The boy decided to ride it (apparently rather quickly) onto the road even though it was clear there was a truck there. He was lucky my brother had only just started moving, otherwise that would have been messy. The police were involved, and for once (this is a miracle right here), they ruled in my brother's favor. The kid was an idiot for riding his bike right out into the middle of traffic.
After we got home, I spent the rest of my time messing around on my PC and wishing I wasn't so blasted plugged up.
Funny thing is that it cleared up while I was away, then the congestion came back as soon as I got home. Something about this place isn't agreeing with me. Possible cat allergy, or from the fact that there's just so much dust in here. Among other things.
Meh. It's tolerable. If only just.
Now... It's time for bed. I apparently spent a couple of hours playing Civilization V. It's now after midnight.

Picked up my girlfriend and went to Sacramento for the first ever brony convention in Northern California, which is about an hour and a half away from my house, but only like 45 minutes from her house. Went there, spent way too much on pony merchandise,

Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
Space was playing Doctor Who again, so that's what I spent most of my day watching.
Started with the last few episodes for the 9th Doctor, then they switched to 10.
After that, I made tacos. The spices sort of cleared my nose for a while. Of course, it's pretty stuffed up now. I have no idea where I get this from. It's pretty annoying, though.
Anyway, after dinner, I had scrubbed out the fish tanks and added more water to them. Then had a shower. Then... Well, I forgot what I did. Probably listened to music for a while before I decided to play some more Civilization V. Still the same game I was on yesterday, even though I already beat it (cultural victory). Gandhi will not stop threatening me. And insulting my military. Guess what, pal. My military is a heck of a lot stronger now that most of my cities have built everything that can be built. One of these days, I just might get around to nuking you. Or, y'know, send my Giant Death Robots after you. Hmph.
Well, I'm off to bed. I was up early for Doctor Who. Didn't sleep much last night (I was cold. And stuffed up. Bad combination).

Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
Is being dressed all in blue some kind of cosmic offense? Because I can think of nothing else that would make me deserve a day like this. I had to get up extra early, a family gathering of 12 people ruined my quiet monday morning, I got aggravated at some relatives, and now there's a policeman on his way to deliver a court order to me (not meant for me though so phew).
Why is this happening.

Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
Yesterday, I lurked around here, wrote a dragon battle story in TES RP Thread and played Skyrim. Walking everywhere is actually very relaxing. Watched the extended version of LOTR:FOTR and a lot of the extended or scenes that were cut from the normal version had no reason to be cut as they feel natural. I know why Jackson cut those scenes due to running time but some should have stayed in the original version. I had to split it into two sittings. Watched the second half this morning.

Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
I got up early expecting some maintenance guys to come to our place, but of course they haven't arrived yet...so I'm wasting away the time working on an RP character for this TES roleplay forum I've been hanging out on. They're such nice people and so much fun; it's good to have a nice, non-UESP TES place to hang out.
Afterwards, it's the final touches of the computer room and some more studying. Looking forward to getting this test out of the way in a few months...again.

Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
I had to go for another x-ray on my hand.
Turns out that I re-fractured it at work the other night, so now I might have to see a plastic surgeon in case they have to straighten the bones.
I've already got 3 crooked fingers on my left hand, I don't need another on my right.
They also decided to x-ray my left hand to compare them, and apparently the 1st knuckle on my little finger (of my left hand) is so completely [&@%!] up they may want to re-break it to operate on that hand aswell...
WTF life!?! Gimme a break.... No, WAIT, DON'T!
