So, apparently the Co-Creator of Mega Man (Keiji Inafune) left Capcom, and is on Kickstarter with a new project labeled as Mega Man's, "Spiritual Successor"...And it actually looks pretty good, it's taking classic elements from the MM games, and is adding in some new ones. Give it a look, it's certainly intrigued me.

I wager it may actually hit 2 million, as steam with Kickstarter never stays consistent. There is always an intro boost, and an outro boost. And minor boosts that take place as some big names on YT and Reddit, and any other site with influential names become aware, and offer support.

It this thing does hit 3 million, I'll be surprised.

Wasn't a no-name either, this is someone that is responsible for a major franchise..Even if it has lost size over the years.

All that said, they just unlocked the Mac/Linux stretch goals!

Yeah, I actually hope it's enough. When this is funded, Kickstarter takes a small percentage, along with Amazon. I think they actually have to pay some taxes. However, they already know this, so the funding goal may be a little inflated to compensate for this. All in all, if they have great budget managers, they can make do what they have easily.

I've seen games make use of less, and get the full value out of it. So I hope it's the same here.

Also, they just unlocked New Game + and Turbo Mode (Speed running?). So things are going pretty well...I'm surprised it's already reached 3 stretch goals.

If thinks keep going like this, I do see this game hitting 60k backers. And let's see...It could hit 3 mil by that point.
