Trapped!

Ela quickly went through Frank's pockets and found the phone. She almost dropped it, her hands were shaking so badly. She dialled 911 as quickly as she could.

"911 what's your emergency?" the operator asked Ela.

"Oh thank god," Ela stammered. For a moment she'd been worried that the reason why her phone had been acting up was some cell network problem and the call wouldn't go through.

"I'm in Arkon, it's the main street, I think. A man needs an ambulance. He's having chest pains and he can't breath. He fell. I'm not... Not sure, but I think he's having a heart attack. Please, hurry," she said, putting as much urgency as she could into her voice. She was holding Frank's hand. "I don't know what to do."

"An ambulance is on the way." The operator said and then hung up. Minutes later an ambulance showed. Three people came out of the ambulance. Two people went to Frank and one came up to Ela.
"Do you have any idea what happened?" The woman asked her.

Ela shook her head. "We heard the Mayor's announcement and were going to see what was happening. And suddenly Frank said he couldn't breathe and he just keeled over." She took out a cigarette and her lighter. It took her several tries to get it to work, her hands shook and felt clumsy. "He's been pretty stressed out, it's been a tough day for him, I think," she finished.

"Is he going to be okay?" she asked.

"I can't guarantee anything right now." The paramedic said. "Is there anywhere we can contact you?" She asked.

Lucy got up and ran over to the man. She got out her mobile and dialled 911. Whilst waiting for someone to answer, she asked the man. "Are you on any meds?"

The man could barely talk, "No..." he said.
"911 what's your emergency?" The operator asked Lucy.

"I need a paramedic! Someone is having chest pains and i think he is having a heart attack. We're at Pam's Diner!" Lucy said in a very urgent tone.

Ela gave the paramedic her phone number. "I don't know how long I'm going to be here though. I'd like to wait and make sure that Frank is fine, but the truth is I don't really know him and I'm pretty anxious to leave Arkon as soon as possible," she explained. "Where are you taking him?" she asked. "I'd like to check up on my RV, grab a few things and come to the hospital, would that be okay?"

"I don't know. It happened after the mayor spoke. THere was screaming then he fell to the floor after mentioning his chest pains." Lucy informed the paramedic.

"That will be fine, he seems to okay he is just having a little trouble breathing. We will be taking him to DCH Regional Medical Center." The paramedic said to Ela.

Lucy
"Okay, thank you, we will be taking him to DCH Regional Medical Center. It's not far from here." The paramedic said to Lucy.

The paramedics left Pam's Diner with the man. A little bit later a young man came over to Lucy, he was tall, he had blonde hair and blue eyes.

Lucy drank the rest of her coke and said "Yes. I wonder why they have cut us off from the rest of the state?" to the man.

Lucy looked at the bill and paid for her meal. "Have a pleasent evening." She said to the waiter afterwards and would leave with John if nothing else happened.
