Trapped!

"Okay" Frank said and then started walking. "So tell me a bit about yourself?" Frank asked Ela.

Lucy
Lucy saw a variety of things there were burgers, chicken, salad, sandwiches, pasta, and steak. A waiter came over "Hello have you decided what you would like?" He asked Lucy.

Ela laughed. "Oh, I'm probably the most boring person you've met in a good long while," she said. "I'm a history teacher, middle school. Divorced, no kids, one-eyed cat and one bedroom apartment in a sleepy town. I'm from Poland but I have family here. We used to be very close when we were kids, my cousins and I, but then they came here and I haven't seen them since... Oh, it must have been fifteen years or so."

Ela took her phone out of her pocket and after a moment of clicking, swiping and muttering at the stubborn, uncooperative device she showed Frank a photo of two young girls with dark hair and a young boy. "That's me," she pointed to the round-faced girl, "that's Ania, and that's her brother Mateusz. He goes by Matt now, since no one could pronounce his name correctly.

"I've always wanted to come and visit them, but vacation in America on a teacher's salary? Not so easy to do. But I've finally saved up enough money and here I am, driving across the continent. This may not seem very exciting to you, but this is my big dream adventure," she laughed again.

"My RV started making strange noises this morning, so I stopped at the first garage I saw, which just happened to be four blocks from here. I have to wait a few hours longer, there's something wrong with the transmission. But they told me it would be fixed by this evening and I can get back on the road then."

"That's nice, since you aren't from around here you probably didn't here about all of the murders. Have you?" Frank asked Ela.

Ela dropped her cigarette.
"I... What murders?" she asked, suddenly unsure what to do. Frank seemed like a nice enough man, but there was something wrong about this town. For a moment she considered going back to the garage, waiting for the repairs to be finished and leaving as soon as she possibly could. But she wanted to hear the story first, so she stayed.

"It's all over the news. There is group of people going around and killing random people, but they say they were going to die when it comes. They caught one person by a shop nearby there is four more out there just don't know what is going come or where the others are" Frank finished as they arrived at the coffee shop.

Lucy decided she would have steak and chips with some BBQ sauce. She waited for the waiter to come over.

"Hello my is Jim I will be your waiter have you decided what you would like or should I come back?" Jim asked Lucy.

User, punctuation and grammar are your friends, use them. I don't understand what Frank said.

"I don't understand. Who said they were going to die? When what comes? And... are you telling me that there are four crazy murderers wandering around the city? On top of the drunken thieves who stole from you?"

The idea of getting away ASAP was looking better and better. Hell, she might even leave with the dodgy transmission, as long as the RV ran...

"Good evening, I'm lucy and can I have steak and chips with a glass of coke?" Lucy said to Jim.

Ela
"There is a group of murders, coming around town, and just killing random people. One person got caught, when the police car drove off he said they were going to die when it comes. Nobody has any idea what is coming, but we do know that there is five people in the group of murders and one has been caught near a shop." Frank said to Ela.

Lucy
"Of course." The man said to Lucy. "That will be right out." He said and then walked off. About ten minutes later, steak, chips, and a glass of coke was served to Lucy.

"Thank you, Jim." Lucy said to Jim as he put her food on the table. She picked up a knife and fork then began to eat her meal.

About another ten minutes later Jim came back "How is everything so far?" He asked Lucy.

"Excellent." Lucy said. She drank some of her coke and resumed eating her meal.

Ela couldn't understand how Frank could be so calm and matter-of-fact about it. Here she was, considering helping a man who was in trouble with some knife-wielding bandits, and his idea of small talk was Oh, by the way, there's a bunch of lunatics murdering people in town? What the hell was wrong with him and with this place?!

Ela stopped walking. "Okay, that's enough. I'm going back to the garage and if the RV starts, I'm leaving right this moment. This is crazy."

Ela and Lucy
All of a sudden the wind started blowing, people walked outside wondering what was happening, all of a sudden a loud noise was heard as something hit the ground.

Ela looked around, startled. Where did that noise come from? Was there a storm coming?

Lucy looked at the nearest window to see what was going on. She believed it was just a storm and something had fallen over.

Minutes later a voice was heard. "People of Akron, this is your Mayor Ethan Parker speaking, this is not a drill. There is a something that is blocking us from the outside world nobody knows how it got here and nobody knows when it will go away. People please relax and all of this will be over soon enough.” The Mayor said.

[dzio]

Ela stared at Frank. "Please, relax?! How can he say it will be over soon enough when he has clearly no idea what's going on?"

She started walking briskly towards the garage. What could block a town from the outside world? It wasn't located on an island or surrounded by mountains, there were fields and forests around. So how could they be "blocked"? She was going to see what the Mayor had meant, and she was going to make sure that her RV and all her possessions were safe.

"Are you coming?" she asked Frank, glancing over her shoulder without stopping.

Lucy swore under her breath after hearing the mayor. She knew that the town could turn into a violent place if food started to run out and knew that her shop would be a target. She wondered why the town had been cut off from the outside.

Ela
"Uh yeah," Frank said to Ela and started walking. "Maybe this is what was coming, what the murders were talking about, they were going to die when it comes, maybe this is what the people were going to die from." Frank said in a worried tone.

Lucy
There was screaming in the restaurant. "Everybody stay calm I... my chest... can't breathe" the man fell to his knees "Help me!" the man yelled as he fell to the ground.

"Let's not get ahead of ourselves. There's no point in all those maybes until we know what's really going on."

Frank looked really nervous, she thought. It might be a good idea to get him talking about something safer and more normal, otherwise he would keep imagining disaster scenarios and worst possible outcomes.

"What can you tell me about the Mayor?" she asked him.

"The mayor okay, he comes off as a nice person but he... my chest... can't breathe" Frank said as he dropped to his knees "Help me!" Frank yelled. He then fell to the ground.

Ela kneeled next to Frank. She quickly took off her sweater and placed it under the man's head. She took his wrist and tried to take his pulse, but in her panic she kept loosing count. She could tell though that it wasn't right.

"Frank, just... Stay calm. Stay calm and keep breathing."

She took out her phone to call 911, but the stupid thing froze again. She looked around, searching for anyone who could help them.

"Help!" she screamed as loudly as she could. It made her throat hurt. "Help, we need a doctor! Somebody, please!"

Nobody was around at the moment, Frank could talk, but he could only talk a little bit. "Phone... pocket," he said in pain.
