Re: The Official TES VI Wishlist thread
I just want attributes and classes back. Or you can have a system like The Secret World have, you can get any skill you want (exactly like Skyrim), but you get bonus for "equipping" (don't know how to handle this on TES) skills of a certain pre-defined class (in TSW you get a new costume for doing it). Maybe you could get recognized as a mage for example and access unique mage dialog options and quests if you are "equiped" with the mage class skills. And you can mix skills the way you want, thus creating new classes (something I loved from the earlier entries), wich could also be recognized according to tree in wich you invested more.

In addition to what philfredobob said, this would be highly problematic for anyone who uses mods.Exeet wrote:An ultra hardcore mod that only let you have one save for your character and only saves when you close the game and doesn't let you load that save if you're IN the game. Plus deletes it completely if you die.. That'd be epic.
And this would be problematic for anyone who doesn't have really high-end hardware. The world is split up as a performance consideration.Exeet wrote:No loadings at all, imagine if everything was part of the world. Like opening a door wouldn't put you in a loading screen, but litterally open the door for real and let you see inside. Same goes for the dungeons.

Let's keep to the wishlist and stay away from saying which already released game is better. I realize not all of you are doing this, but those who are know who they are and had better stop it.

And to get the thread back on track - I've been talking about Skyrim with my brother, who doesn't play it. He asked me how some game elements worked in Skyrim and was very disappointed that opening a menu paused the game. I thought about it for a while and actually he has a point. It makes no sense at all that you can stop in the middle of combat to put on a helmet, poison your arrows, eat some bread and maybe read a book or two, while the entire world waits frozen for you to finish. It sort of defeats the purpose of a real-time combat. I got used to it in TES games, but I think I'd like to try a more realistic approach in the next one. It would be great for immersion - you go into the battle with what you have prepared and have to make do without anything you've forgotten. On the other hand it would also require some major changes to the UI (more options available from the HUD, without opening the menus), which would clutter up the screen.
What do you guys think?

Nope, I'm against all of the ''make it more realistic'' things, and this would be one of them. I like the way it is now. see once we start on this track we end up going into other stuff: ''How can you carry so much at once, anyways?'', ''How is it I can swim while wearing heavy armour?'', ''how is it I can jog everywhere without getting tired?'', etc....

Re: The Official TES VI Wishlist thread
See, I don't think that's how it would end up. I think you can change something's without having to change others.
But nevertheless, I think the next game needs to have a really good story. Something that will make me actually want to see it through. And largely, I think the fine tuning of all of the aspects introduced in Skyrim need to be refined such as combat, magic, marriage, adoption, etc. I would enjoy a larger selection of weapons and armor, even if they didn't offer any real advantage.

I want the next TES game to be in High Rock, with Skyrim's graphics, and revolve around the Void Nights and the return of the Dwarves or at least figure out why they dissapeared.
Now tjat we're back on topic, the Musicman247 can tell me how I can delete my account.

I hope the Dwemer will never return as they should remain a mystery. Same with finding out the reason for their disappearance.
I would like to see more in depth customisation. Such as creating our own scars and being able to have more then one. Creating unique hair styles and so forth. As well as being able to wear clothes under armour and certain pieces of armour under clothes.

Re: The Official TES VI Wishlist thread
It'd make a nice mod - I'd love to see it as one - but I really can't see it ever being implemented in the vanilla game. Most Skyrim fans are casual players and realism and immersion at the sake of convenience doesn't appeal to them.Dzio wrote:And to get the thread back on track - I've been talking about Skyrim with my brother, who doesn't play it. Re: The Official TES VI Wishlist thread
Yeah, you're probably right and a lot of more casual players would be unhappy with this change. But I don't think it would work as a mod. With the current UI it wouldn't be practical and I'm not sure if it's possible to change the UI so much with a mod.

People noticing who you are or talking about your exploits. After saving the world in Skyrim i felt like i had just taken out the trash.

Re: The Official TES VI Wishlist thread
Re-writing my idea on this thread, thanks for the recommending thing Avron
I thought that if the Playstation 4 and Xbox One had backwards compatibility for an add-on for TES: VI you can make another Dragonborn, where the game detects your Skyrim save files and you can basically fight against your Skyrim Dragonborn character as a boss fight; they keep their spells, shouts and weapons (probably some of the potions). If there are exploited weapons then maybe a cap is needed.
Extra idea: Then afterwards, I don't know, maybe your normal non-Dragonborn VI character would have to kill the (add-on-made/next) Dragonborn champion of Herma Mora for his quest/artifact...

Re: The Official TES VI Wishlist thread
About the real time combat, we have to be able to pause combat and monitor what we do, plus refill our health. There isn't enough hotkeys on the console to be able to do that.
Also, I hope for more in depth character creation. They need height options that way I can make me a tall badass

With people listing all these things, It's going to take them 15 years to make it! But yeah, realism, lore friendly (obviously if it's from beth) race-mixing, and more enhanced character development. Thats about it. I've never experienced bugs enough for it to be a desirable topic.

Re: The Official TES VI Wishlist thread
Better lighting on the character creation screen. They made bad decisions with the lighting on this in both Oblivion and Skyrim, and it annoys me. Do you know how hard it is for me to make an elf look not so freakishly disproportionate? It is very hard! The only three characters that I'm happy with are my main Nord, my Orc, and my Breton. Especially since it's so hard to see the eyes on female elves because of the eyeliner and shadow and whatnot.

Re: The Official TES VI Wishlist thread
I will say this I'm so damn sick of picking of expert locks and getting only 35 gold, I mean if they're going to that why not just cut the number of chests in half and increase the loot.
Sometimes being a thief in this game isn't worth it, your think breaking into the Jarl's room would yield upwards of tens of thousand gold worth of items instead it's only 1000 at most.
I mean why not increase the risk but double the reward.
And the only aspect of the game I find to be actually dumbed down is the essential characters, I mean its simply retarded that at the end of the civil war all the jarls can be alive AND keep their [censored] house arms, I'm looking at you Snowshod.
I do appreciate some of the killable characters though, being able to wipe out the Dark Brotherhood was cool as was the Thalmor. That made my day being able to get every one of those [&@%!], especially Elenwen.
But still gives us some level of responsibility at least make certain character normal once their quest was over, I mean my god in Morrowind you could kill Vivec of all people, atleast let me shank maven

Re: The Official TES VI Wishlist thread
The setting: The place I'd most like to see would be High Rock again. I rather like Bretons, and with that setting the main quest could be a delicious maze of intrigue and backstabbings. Also, I'd like to see places like Daggerfall City again, only this time with less clumsy gameplay and better graphics.
Alternatively, Hammerfell could be an interesting place. With its tropical coastal lands and the inner desert there could be a very engaging Lawrence of Arabia meets One and Thousand Nights- feel to the game. Also, a war questline could well be part of the game again, only this time against the Thalmor. In any case, Hammerfell would serve as a good contrast to Skyrim's Scandinavian-style landscape and thus keep the series fresh settings-wise.
The scale: I don't know if this would be possible, but I'd prefer a land area at least twice the size of Skyrim. While Skyrim's world is definitely large, it starts to feel like you've explored everything after level 40 or so. Also, the cities should be much bigger and with many more NPCs. The ideal, of course, would be they were the size of Daggerfall's cities but that would require a beast of a machine to run. Then again, if TES VI was released in, say, 2016 there's a good chance the hardware of that day could handle much more than the recent standards.
The music: Definitely Soule as a composer again! Seeing how great his work with previous TES titles is, I'd like hear him to try his hand with a more Celtic (for High Rock) or Arabic (for Hammerfell) music style.
The MQ: More like Oblivion's than Morrowind's or Skyrim's in the sense that the player character shouldn't be some demi-god or the Chosen One. Besides the trope being rather trite by now, IMO it feels more heroic to save the world by one's own free will and willingness to rise to the challenge than simply because one has been prophesied to. This, of course, is down to personal preference and on a more philosophical level which side one takes in the fate vs. free will problem. For me, personally, it felt more satisfying and real to be a "regular" guy who also was Martin's friend and Emperor's man than some incarnated demi-god like Nerevarine.
Plot-wise, I'd like the Thalmor to be main antagonists. They are enemies who one loves to hate, so to speak, and are obviously up to no good. Lastly, Talos could be given a similar role Akatosh played in Oblivion, or otherwise utilized in the plotline.
The Factions: These should definitely be much longer and more fleshed-out than they are in Skyrim. Besides, there could be some more specialized options for each archetype to choose between, say, a chivalric order or a mercenary company for warrior types, for thief characters a Mafia-style thug gang vs a more Oblivionesque sneak-thief guild etc. Getting faction rivalries á la Morrowind back would be nice too, as would be skill requirements to advance in the ranks and unlock quests (laxer than Morrowind's, though).
Misc.: Spellmaking back! Also, the ability to name player-made potions would be nice as would a more versatile selection of enchantments, as well as more freedom to what items one could enchant with what effect. Basically, Skyrim's basic gameplay and stat/skill system enchanced with some of the freedom and customizability the earlier titles had.

This is probably too hard to implement for too little pay off but it would be neat if followers could actually remember which adventures they'd accompanied you on, and sometimes bring them up later ("oh Akatosh, this reminds me of when we were in -place name-").

I'd really like it to be set in Elsweyr/Valenwood that'd be a awesome setting.
Solitude just showed you that their are full of people ready to believe in good.
