I really like some armors included in Omegared99's Armor Compilation, but I can't use it because of incompatibility with SkyRe. It shows up in the list of masters for the ReProccer, so I think the armor ratings will be correctly adjusted, but the crafting recipes are unusable - they require certain Smithing perks from the vanilla tree which don't exist (or exist under different names) in the SkyRe version of that tree.
I know nothing about modding, but if there's any logic to it, it should be a very easy thing to fix. I imagine that somewhere in this mod there is a line that says basically "to craft armor A you need perks B and C" and it should be easy to replace it with "perks D and E". I just don't know where to look for it and right now I can't really spend the entire weekend watching CK tutorials to figure it out. Can anyone help me?

Re: Compatibility problem - armor mod + SkyRe
I saw this mod a while ago and I love the armors (especially the Game of Thrones inspired ones.) I'm having the same problem, though, as there doesn't seem to be a patch for SkyRe. I can't help you with this, dzio, but I too would love a patch.

I don't want to sound like a whiny "do it for me I'm too lazy" brat, but can I reasonably expect to figure it out myself in just a few hours (you can assume I'm not an idiot)? My free time is rather limited right now and TES5Edit looks rather intimidating to someone who's never done any modding. Don't want to waste an entire evening only to realize that I'd need another three (which I don't have) to do what I want.

It looks more intimidating than it is, although it does take some getting used to. If you use the manual I linked to, you can make a patch in no time, but if you're really pressed for time, I say learn how to do it another day instead (just in case you can't get it to work the way you want and waste an entire evening). In either case, it's a very powerful tool when you know how to use it.

Okay, thanks. I'll give it a try next week then. But if someone gets bored before then, I'll happily download someone else's patch.

You could try using the reproccer. It works for things like Immersive Armours.

I did. It doesn't do anything with Smithing formulas, only armor rating and damage values for weapons.dzio wrote:...shows up in the list of masters for the ReProccer...
