Yeah I'm going to at least give it until Monday until I stop taking applications. I think I'll cap at 7 Players.

I could have a Q&A session tonight if anyone is interested.

Oh sorry CBR I didn't see that  I'm sorry I just can't visualize it working very well since it's an RP based on the trainers.

Here's mine. I couldn't not make a character for this.
Hidden:
Name: Jace Silverson
Age: 18
Trainer Type: Cool Kid
Physical Characteristics: At 5'9", Jace is near average height. He is also extremely skinny, almost unbelievably so. He has fiery red hair that reaches down to his neck, and blue eyes. Always wearing pants of some sort and a jacket, Jace dislikes extremely warm weather.
Background: Jace grew up in a small home in Saffron City, always dreaming of being a trainer. He never really socialized that much, though he has nothing against it, and always spent his time drawing and daydreaming about pokemon. Recently, Jace moved out and rented a small apartment near the ocean.
Type Preference: Dark/Fire

I'll post a character when I get home tonight. Are Pokemon from all 5 generations appearing in this?

We could have one pokemon player and see how it works for a couple of pages...

I was thinking of fairly similar to Ash's pikachu as an operating concept. Although as a charmander* abandoned in Viridan Forest* who has an itch to explore beyond the forest*, at least until captured.

* Subject to change.

Or, to add to Alarra's, confirmed new ones from Gen 6?

Being the big Pokemon conservative that I am; whilst I can tell you everything from Gen I - III and most of IV I don't have a clue what happens or is happening past that.

Oh, and on playing Pokemon: I think we should just play the RP the way the DM intended. At least to start with, anyway. Being able to play Pokemon would result in having draw up completely new mechanics, possibly delaying the RP by up to weeks. And as Veetz already said:
Veetz wrote:Pokemon: Just by the way, an RP with people controlling Pokemon themselves has happened before.
Did not end well....

Same here. I *started* Black but it fell out of my pocket somewhere in town and I didn't get too far in it. The first four gens I'm good with, though.

Gen 5 added new pokemon and a guy tried to force all trainers to release their pokemon with the support of a legendary pokemon, Gen 6 no idea.

She practiced all sorts of martial arts, mostly kick boxing and karate, before moving to Kanto at the age of 17, where she lived briefly in Pewter city, before moving to Viridian city to get her Trainer's License.

It'll be roughly this distribution:
Gen 1: 40%
Gen 2: 30%
Gen 3: 25%
Gen 4: 5%

So in other words, the first 3 generations will have regular appearances, wih a few appearances from gen 4. Nothing beyond that however.

And CBR, I suppose we could try it. Would you be owned by a trainer at some point?

They'd have to catch me first, but quite frankly, a level 5, or 6 charmander isn't going to be much of a challenge tp catch/befriend.

You could let us have a prologue period untill Monday just to give us time to interact and establish relationships with characters or speak to other PCs as well as for some of us to get used to the Pokemon universe.

EDIT:I'm thinking of having Kalia have either a girlfriend or a boyfriend. Feel free to PM me if you want your character to be her lover.

I dunno... I'm still very skeptical as to how it'd affect the RP. Why can't you just be a human like all the rest of the Players?

I mean it takes a special kind of person to breed pokemon, I doubt the more aloof characters would have the personality for it.

For the record after Gen 3 I stopped caring about new pokemon breeds and the like. I know Kanto best, Johto next and Hoenn third.
