I have started a new world with this final update, shame there's no End achievements, but free dlc is better :-)

all i need now is to stop playing Skyrim long enough to get back into minecraft...

I bought the disc version of Minecraft about 3 days after it came out, and I love it. However, the End was kinda dissapointing for me. Gathering ender pearls for the portal was a major pain, especially since they tend to teleport after they die, and the boss battle wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. But, it's still a great game.

I never got to The End in survival, so I experimented in creative. It was kinda dissapointing.

lol

the end kind of reminded me of becoming Hortator in Mw , except elder scrolls varied what you have to collect/do before the final encounter is triggered.. goes to show how minecraft and all computer games (and rp games perhaps) for that matter still fit into the same structures

Heh, no kidding. In the world in which I've been trying to get to the End, I have all the Blaze Powder I could ever ask for, but it's a [&@%!]-off when either (a) no Endermen spawn at all in the area around my house, or (b) one does, but then it doesn't drop anything after I kill it. As it stands, though, I haven't loaded up Minecraft in over a month, so I'll have to take another look soon.

The End on PC is way better. It is so much harder.

You're sure about that, Dika? I searched for anything about The End getting more difficult in any update and nothing vaguely referenced that. Do you have any reason to believe this other than personal experience?

Actually<_< the End in pc is different via the 360, namely due to two things.
~The Ender Dragon received a new attack exclusive to 360 called Ender Acid
~The Exit Portal is pre-placed and the dragon is set on a course to hover over it multiple times. As opposed to in pc where it'll spawn where he dies

While I liked the first>_> it should of been added to the Pc first. However the 2nd just makes it too easy. What made him hard was he's an always moving target with tons of health. Yea a sword may help, but your better off with a bow and you'll still need to destroy his crystals.
However now.. on 360 I can just spam at him with a sword when he stops moving or hit him from afar where his acid won't reach >_< And say if you try and kill him when he's not above the frame.. no death animation till the final strike only when he's in position.

In truth, Dika is right. Though the Pc didn't get harder, the 360 just became easier

It sort of does, however they did sneak something under the rug some people yet to notice in the last update<_<

Animals have an eating animation. So whenever say a sheep wants to eat grass, it'll do a lil animation for it.
While this may not seem much<_< if you were on Pc, this was only done via mods or plug-ins. It's something minor, but still cool.

On thing I do wish they'll do is toggle on/off the auto craft recipes. I like it sometimes, but at the same time it ruins the experience of learning and experimenting. I can see it may have been designed for those who were new or younger, but it can get annoying if there are some stuff you don't want someone to know.. like griefing gear..
Ultimately if they added the toggle, it should be up to the host if it's active, and if it is, then the players themselves and individually toggle theirs off if they don't want it

The primary reason they put in auto-crafting is because it would suck to craft items and recipes yourself with the analog stick on the controller. Plus, after a while of playing, what does it really add to the game to craft an Iron sword yourself for the 500th time?

Hence toggle, let it be optional. It just adds to what you prefer really

I think I'd rather have 4J work on features and/or DLC than that, but in a perfect world, I would like that as well!

My old minecraft world was perfect... Granted nothing is left but that's beside the point

Still, I can't wait for the upside-down stairs and half-blocks added.. along with a fix for trapdoors. Plenty of buildings I'll need to update when that time comes. Alas I know not when side logs will come

According to 4J's twitter, the next update will have jungles and ocelots. Here's a picture of some of the stuff they're going to add.

I see cats, carved stone, 3D dropped items, heads, possible carpet and ugly new fire texture ((if that is new fire texture))

I don't see villager trading/breeding/different proffessions other than farmer.

And why do all the prime slime spawner chunks have to be IN lava lakes?

I've started a pretty neat (hopefully) Creative mode project: it's a 17 EDIT:33x64 maze that's high up off the ground. The idea is that the walls are made of obsidian and there are no light sources, so you're in pitch black trying to find your way towards the exit. What's more, most of the dead ends have a pressure plate linked to a piston that pushes away the block with the pressure plate, causing the player to fall out of the maze to their death if they're not fast enough. (Since pistons don't work against obsidian, the floor is made out of stone, which also helps to camouflage the pressure plate). Planning the actual maze is the tough part - I've built most of the exterior 'shell' and the first small section, but I'm probably going to need some grid paper to plan and complete the whole thing. I'm up for the challenge, though. :)

If I can finish it and have it actually work, I might invite anybody on here who wants to play it. I've got some other minigames in the same world too.

Well, it's done now. I actually finished it the other day but I had to test it out first. It works more or less as I hoped, so Dika or whoever else wants to, feel free to PM me and I can shoot you a friend request (or a game request, if you'd prefer) at whatever time works.

Tried the 360 version recently. The controls were horrific... Still, found a mycelium island thanks to the limited map size. I never really liked the infinite map sprawl anyway.

I prefer XBOX controls to WASD/Click system myself and prefer that the crafting recipes are already there. Just got gold again and have been building up a village hoping that TU12 brings villager trading/breeding and golems, though the Golem will have a hard time moving in my village I think, without aid from the sky walk
