Bard's college weirdness

Post by capn-gary »

I was getting 'enrolled' at the bard's college in Solitude, and they've set fire to the King Olaf... And now it's stuck there. Every time I go to Solitude, I check, but poor old King Olaf is eternally on fire, I guess!

This happened to me once. It seemed like a random glitch and reloading a previous saves usually fixed the issue.

I'm not going to go back there and try to fix it at this point. I was about at level 25, I think. I'm at level 51 now, and just fighting my way into the big temple in the Dragonborn quest. ;)

As stated above, it could be a glitch unless you've done the Bard's quests and have forgotten about it. But it should be finished by the time you return to Solitude. If not, tis a glitch and one that may only be resolved by reloading. But you could get lucky and it could be gone the next time you go to Solitude.

Don't sweat it, kid. No one likes bards. They never shoot first.
Baurus: Our job is to get the Emperor out of situations like this. Though I'll admit, things aren't going exactly to plan.

Casandra: At the moment, the deadliest weapon at my disposal is a goblin's head on a stick. I'd be worried if this was the plan.
