Block and Heavy Armor Easy Level Up

Post by Obliviguy34 »

I found that the most easiest way to increase your block and heavy armor skills is to run into a bandit or marauder or any human enemy. Let them attack you. If you want to increase in block, just keep blocking the attacks (obiesly). If you want to increase in heavy armor, don't block and have heavy armor on. Use healing spells often. When you feel that you got enough levels, kill the enemy.

And a good way to level up sneak is to find someone asleep. and sneak-run in a corner nearby until they get up in the morning.

Best quest in the game is "Whom Gods annoy", the one with the 4 scamps.

I started it and never continued it. From those 4 scamps in the house i have 100 LA, 100 HA, im working on block and getting blunt and H to H (secondary melee skills) up to around 75 (before they are a b1tch to raise).

For heavy/light armour and or block. I made a shield 100% for 120 seconds spell. It cost almost all my magica to cast but its fine.
You also will get big armour gains from taking a bunch of repair hammers.

I usually cast the spell, attack all 4 with something week and then just sit there as all 4 bang on me. When the 120 seconds ends, i kill them and then do repairs (after 120 sec of 4 scamps just about all my armour is 0%) Rinse/Repeat

You can use those scamps for a lot of skills (Blade, Blunt, H to H) even marksman if you dont care about losing arrows.
Light armour, heavy armour, block (armourer will raise pretty quick with these skills, min is around 82ish wihtout paying to much attention to it)

if done right you can raise sneak in that house aswell, but its much easier to do it next to a sleeping guide mate....

When you are managing your leveling, this is the perfect opportunity to cast spells that cost 1 point ovver and over again.

I would use HA/LA and cast whatever magic category while doing this and would end up with 5-5-1 gains in endurance (or speed), int (or will power)

Again, go to the spell alter and make a spell that cast onself and cost 1 point in what ever magic category you want to raise.

Hope it helps

actually, i think the best way to practice heavy armor and block is to cast a summon spell (whichever you have, buy one if you don't have it), hit the creature 3 times and make it attack you. blocking will increase block, standing there and getting the hits will increase armor (heavy or light). when you're about to die, summon again (the creature attacking you will disappear and another one will appear), wait 1 hour and start again with full magicka and health.

only problem: you might kill the creature you summoned with those first 3 hits XD it works for sure at low levels for mages eheh

yeah, you probably do. the fact is not everybody played morrowind or oblivion that much. i'm just moving the first steps into it for instance. still, i was wondering if what i was writing wasn't obvious, but since the first post is even more obvious i thought the guy up there would find it useful.

I've found it pretty good to go into the Market Place sewers. Typically there's just a rat. Let him hit you a couple times, leave (he won't follow), heal and repair. If you're wearing light armor, that's agility, endurance, and willpower. Or block instead of wearing light armor if the endurance part is going too slowly.

I also will get my fatigue to zero, summon a zombie, slash him up while dodging his incredibly slow attacks, and then either block a rat somewhere to get 10 skill ups or repair my blade while attacking the summoned zombie (after the first hit, after the second hit, and then after it's run out of time or dead). Intelligence, strength, and endurance

Or to get endurance/strength/intelligence I'll find a zombie, slash him up, healing him so that he doesn't die until I get 10 skill ups in blade/hand to hand/blunt, and then find a rat somewhere and block/heal till I get ten skill ups. (or instead of blocking I could let myself get hit to up armorer and heavy armor).

There's a million ways to get nice skill up combos.
