And I'm pretty sure most chucked them, however, sales eventually spoke that it was desired when people willingly bought them. Like I said, let's determine the Kinect's worth with sales, not talk.

I'm not missing the point, I'm just not agreeing with you, cause I don't agree (obviously).

If it doesn't make money in the first place, it was never meant to be. Don't tack something on, if people aren't interested. People will show interest by buying something, and people will eventually warm up.

Hell, maybe this Kinect will actually be good (doubtful), but that remains to be seen.

I actually do think the inclusion of the Kinect is inflating the price by at least $100. A product like that certainly should have an effect on the price, since they put a bit of time and money into designing it.

Menus and "good old fashioned" controllers are still there, so I don't know what you're complaining about.

The Kinect has already been tried and tested. The vast majority of the gaming community completely rejects the thing. Now don't get me wrong, it's a neat piece of hardware. If only a [&@%!] of a company like Microsoft didn't design and package it. If only it could be sold with the Xbox One, while keeping the Xbox One superior to the PS4 from a hardware point of view, and cheaper than the PS4.

Are you saying the kinect doesn't impact the price at all? If so, can you prove this?

Logically, a device like this, with as much focus, would impact the price. Thinking otherwise is overlooking the obvious, to reduce a negative.

Oh, if it justifies it, then the X-one would be 600 dollars. The power in the gaming market has improved exponentially since the 360/PS3's time. Costs has lowered for the type of machines that are being made, if the power in these machines were developed 7 years back, they would have been at least 1k.

Sony didn't undercut, they just lack gimmicks like the kinect, which should be optional from the start.

It's all about the cheddar, they still want to make the same profit they did then. Now even more. It doesn't matter how the market has changed, inflation and demand drive the market. Technology is only a part of that. In the end, they still want money. They'll charge the same. That's how the economy works.

I never disputed any of these, they are obviously companies trying to make a profit, nothing new.

Of course, the technology you use, and why is important. And if it's behind par, your profit margins will falter. It may be just a part, but it is an important part.

If the cost to make them is more than MS. And with what I can tell, the power is roughly equal, one being more beefy by a little. And the other having an extra tagged on. So if they sell the same, we may see similar numbers.

Yeah, PS4. Sony has a touchpad, MS has Kinect.

Ah. I'm sure, like the sixacissjbu on the PS3 controllers, at first devs won't know how to use it well and it will be gimmicky. However, soon devs will get more experienced with it and do something totally badass, like Ratchet and Clank's first PS3 outing.

In the case of sixaxis, wasn't it more like a few gimmicks in the beginning and in the end nobody using it in their games at all?
