"If only there was more left to save." Valentia commented, still a bit in awe of all the destruction.

"There's still the inn, isn't there?" Alindrel asked, pointing back over her shoulder, not even remotely close to the inn. "And other places... Uh... Is there a fletcher's here? Might save that, too."
Because there's no fun to be found in being normal.

Suran's Guardquarters
Psyfali looked at the man and said "To weaken it. The best way to attack a town is to weaken it's defenses. Remove the guard and it is defenceless." in a grim tone. She looked down again and tried not to vomit due to the sight that laid before them. "I will help defend the town. I am skilled in Destruction magic and have a few spells of my own that may be of help." She told everyone.

Re: Tamrielic Adventures: Vol. 2
Streets of Suran
Arellius and Per had been following Gudrun from a distance, as ordered. The large group of people they had observed earlier had gone inside the Guardhouse; now Gudrun and her lackeys were just outside. The young Nord was gesturing, apparently giving them instructions or informing them of the strategy she intended to use as soon as they entered the Guardhouse. The men only nodded. Either they were the silent type, or they didn't want to embarass themselves with their lack of battle experience.
Then, Gudrun turned around and kicked the door open.
Guardhouse
Llevana groaned in frustration. None of anything that had happened over the past few hours was making any sense and she wasn't getting closer to an answer. She decided to play her last card, hoping it was a good one.
"So maybe you don't know why what happened here. I have a feeling we'll find out sooner or later anyway. But tell me one thing: why do we have the same family name? I don't have any family."
Raylis wasn't as shaken as one would have expected from someone being confronted with such heavy information. He didn't fumble for words, nor did he throw his hands up in a wild reaction. All he did was breath in sharply, as if startled by a sudden realization.
"I can't-" he began, but he was cut short by a loud bang from the entrance door. Gudrun was standing in the frame, a dozen hardy seamen behind her.
"Well, well, well!" she said, grinning from ear to ear. Her appearance was so sudden, Llevana was startled beyond words. Despite the fact that she knew the Nord had been coming, seeing her was too big a shock for her.
"Must be my lucky day!" Gudrun continued, as she slowly began walking inside, her hands folded behind her back. "Both my marks in one place, the whole town guard dead on my arrival, and a band of fools to blame the deed on!" She laughed heartily. It was the laugh of a maniac, shrill and packed with ill-forboding joy. And then she stopped, suddenly, and her expression turned serious.
"Any last words or wishes from anyone?" she asked and pulled two nasty looking daggers out of two sheaths she had fastened at her back, where her hands had been.

Arellius Afer III - Suran
Arellius stood still, watching from afar, scanning the area for any escape routs both for himself and the targets. They'd found them quickly enough, which was a good thing, meant he wouldn't have to go trekking across the alien landscape that could only be found in Morrowind. The payment my as well have been lying on his lap at this stage.
"Looks like we found'm", he grinned as he gazed studiously across at the scene, now watching for any hints of trouble, hand on the hilt of his tanto in case that trouble decided to engage him.

Psyfalia looked at the daggers and knew that the nord wasn't friendly. She knew that the nord could easily kill them if she was skilled with those daggers. She wanted to protect everyone. She unleashed an Ice Spike at the nord's knee. She didn't want to kill her but her desire to protect everyone outwieghed her personal feelings.

Katien nervously placed a spell over herself and those near her, reflect damage. "We.. Don't wan-want any trouble.." she murmured gently. "Pl-please don't kill us.."

"A-ha. Playing dirty, I see," she said almost matter-of-factly. What followed took only a few seconds: she lunged forward, tossing the two daggers into the crowd of adventurers. She hadn't aimed them at anyone in particular (Katien's spell shielded those who they hit from harm anyhow, although the spell failed to reflect the damage onto Gudrun), the purpose of the manouver had been to startle them, which it did. Using the confusion to her advantage, she performed a dive-roll right into the midst of the group, pushing those located center-most apart, causing a domino effect; everyone was stumbling over each other. With a short laugh, the Nord grabbed something from her belt and threw it on the ground with force. Thick, black smoke immediately started filling the room. Meanwhile, the seamen moved inside, two of them staying at the door to take on anyone who tried to go outside.
The result of the smoke was chaos. The adventurers could barely see anything, and the smoke hurt their eyes. It seemed to muffle sounds too, as Llevana's "OUT, OUT, EVERYBODY OUT" was barely audible to those just a few meters away from her.

Everyone else also had one seaman to contend with. While Gudrun's lackeys lacked arms and armor, they could still hit heavy; heavy enough to kill, and the smoke would make combat difficult.

Psyfalia choked on the smoke and felt like throwing up. She stumbled away and barely saw a seaman in front of her. She unleashed a fireball at him.

Katien had nothing much to do in terms of fighting, her throat burned from the smoke, a silhouette in front of her, she simply tossed a command spell, mixing in a calming one too, before trying to move out, bringing detect life to her eyes. She tried to keep herself from those moving.

Sinyail saw two nord pirates approaching him, and decided it would be for the best to get rid of them, preferably after they've attacked their own side, as they looked a bit on the thick side of the intelligence curve, and so he prepped a command humanoid spell to fire, and if that didn't work there was always a good old firebolt.

Alindrel backed up, trying to find a wall, summoning a Flame Atronach to guard her. As she barely heard Llevana's order, she glanced at her summon.
"Well, you heard her. Find me a way out of here. Blow down a wall if necessary!"

Re: Tamrielic Adventures: Vol. 2
Llela stumbled over her own feet as the smoke bomb detonated, taking a wild elbow in the chin and tumbling onto her rear, coughing. Murky shapes loomed in the smoke. Vana's voice, over the furor and confusion: "Out, out! Everybody, get out!"
Blinking hard against the stinging smoke, Llela did her best to comply, rising to a cautious crouch and simply walking straight. The smoke persisted, as did the confused alarms of struggle and flight that danced around her.
Suddenly, a large shape loomed ahead of her. A flash of movement, and a great fist careened into her forehead, almost knocking her down.
The Dunmeri adventurer recoiled, clumsily pulling out her newly found broadsword. So much longer and more cumbersome than the narrow iron blade she was used to, but it would have to do.
She took a quick, two-handed jab right toward the man's gut, likely without enough strength to do more than knock the wind out of him.

Arellius Afer III - Suran
Arellius took a sharp intake of breath when he saw the dark, odious, smoke pour forth from the guardhouse entrance. He didn't know who set it off, or whether it was simply an illusion or not, but what he did know, or at least presumed, was that it would cause enough confusion for the target to attempt her escape, most likely with that grey-skinned girlfriend of hers. He wouldn't allow that.
With his decidedly diabolic looking grin widening he slowly withdrew his steel tanto.
