When did she EVER do anything to help?
She was selfish, short-sighted, and emotionally frail. When she wasn't feeling sorry for herself, she was acting vindictive. When she wasn't acting vindictive, she was getting in the way. When she wasn't getting in the way...
and even THAT didn't stop her from being horrid and ruining things for everybody else.
I can sympathize with just about every character in the books, to some degree or another. Jon, Robb, Arya, Tyrion, Jamie, Danny, Jorah, Tywin - hell, I even sympathize with Theon, and I'm almost willing to see Cersei's side of things. But Cat? No. Just, no.
But even if you don't agree with my assessment of her total uselessness as a character and as a human being, I think we can ALL agree that she was boring as buck-all.
Boooorrrrriiiinnnggg, my God, it got to the point where I wanted to just skip over her chapters, or even stop reading altogether. I tell ya, it was totally worth
JUST so she'd shut up. Of course that didn't work out either, did it, but at least it was nice while it lasted.
