Poison Apple? OH CRAP!

Post by JackSkelling10 »

Who here has ever accidentally ate a poison apple? I did once during the cleansing of the Cheydinhal Sanctuary. It was my 3rd day playing and I ment to hit drop. Needless to say I drank every potion I could hoping it would stop the poison

someone else mentioned this before, i not sure what happened, but I think you are good as dead, unless you have console commands, you can fix the problem, let me see what i can find,

Vargon, all you have done in this thread is spam. Pls stop it.

Jack, there is not a limit on how many threads you make, just so long as they are relevant and not repetitions of recent threads.

As to the Poison Apple, it is a scripted death, so even the console will not help.

I did it once, but it was on purpose. I don't suppose that counts.

You can just remove the ability with; "player.removespell 00009617".

By the way, I wasn't spamming. In the first post I answered the question asked and in the second post I replied to a comment.
Yes but 1st post:"I never did it -spam-"
2nd post: "-spam-"
Do i have to make it more clear  :P

On this forum, spamming (ie posting when you've got nothing worthwhile to say) is much looked down on and can result in a moderator warning if it's excessive. It's definitely not something to be proud of. Consider this a friendly reminder.

Why would anyone purposely eat a poison apple?

I did it once. I placed poison apples on the sanctuary's dining table, removing all the other food. When Antoinetta Marie sat down and started eating something, I grabbed an apple and ate it to make sure they worked. The first thing I saw when I left my inventory was some meat in a bowl I had failed to see - obviously what Antoinetta Marie was eating.

She greeted me cheerily, just before I collapsed onto the table sending dishes and cutlery everywhere. She stares at my corpse for a bit, then eats some more mutton.

I've been tempted to eat one on a new character... Is it like a draining effect? Would be interesting to have a character with such a serious disease that if they dont drink constant restore health potions, they will die. Roleplay much? :P

Its not a draining effect, it's a scripted death. When you eat the apple it adds the Ability "damage health 10 points", so there's no way to cure, resist, or dispell it.

I've never eaten the apple before, I'll probably try it the next time I play on Oblivion just to see it happen.
