Try out Baldur's Gate. Or Dragon Age: Origins if you want something new.

Please play Dragon's Dogma. Mostly action, but it's got stats.

See dragons dogma would be fun if it wasnt so aggregating.. I guess my low game iq hinders me.. It's jes so complicated on the rpg side, the combat is nice but the travel is terrible, I'm all for exploration but dragons dogma borderlines platform in the way of travel.. Plus I go past a road kill the goblins then finish my quest 3 minutes later back track past the same road and the same goblins are back.. Plus the loot system isn't the best and why make ppl explore if their not gonna find anything good, all I found was respawing enemy's.. And a pool that restores health.. No epic weapon, that I can't use anyways, class restricted.. It's jes all around a limited game

I know his is probably a silly question based on where we are, but you didn't mention them so: have you tried Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim?

Yeah you should try Skyrim. Or maybe Borderlands 2, if that counts as RPG.

Well he's not going to give it one simply because you told him that it's got stats.

Now how about Baldur's Gate or Dragon Age? Or are you looking for more aciton-oriented games?

Don't hate on stats Mars, since apparently a lot of gamers care about those for some reason.

BioWare usually does it right. Try these.

It's just Mars being Mars, and me being Br3ad. No one is being mean either. It was just a question.

Maybe he doesn't know about how the stats work, man. I barely know how the stats work, but I've moved on to advertising Dragon Age and BioWare.

Mass Effect 1 and 2 are also great. Just don't know if its the genre you're looking for.

Br3ad is in cahoots with EA, time to ban him.

Did not see your edit, OP.

2 is more fast-paced than Origins, but most people prefer Origins over 2. However, I find both of them to not be very playable on consoles, so maybe that was a bad suggestion on my part.

Mass Effect 3 was great too. You can hate on it all you want, but it's a fine game. That's almost as bad as hating on DAII. Games are allowed to be different than their prequels.

Mass Effect is just not good, in my opinion. It shoul've either been a full-on RPG or a full-on Shooter.

Dark Souls but i think you won't like it as the enemies respawn every time you use a bonfire which is used as the game's checkpoint and is known for it's diffculty. If you think DD was hard, Dark Souls is a lot harder. It is more unforgiving and punishes you if you make a mistake. One mistake can get you killed in this.

Dragon's Dogma. Give it another chance. If you get Dark Arisen, you can buy ferrystones which allow you to use fast travel for 2,000 gold at the Black Cat. There are some repitive quests but most are varied. The respawning enemies can be an annoyance but when you are a higher level, they are just routinely defeated by your pawns. Have you tried playing it on easy mode? AS for the epic weapon you mentioned, you can always switch vocations at the inn in Gran Soren. DD requires you to think with some enemies.

Fallout New Vegas, The gameplay is similar to TES and is an open world RPG. It's excellent but suffers from lag like most Gamebryo Engine games. It was developed by the same people who developed the first two people. Okay, some of the people from the original development team before they left Interplay and joined Obsidain who were contracted by Bethesda to develop NV. It's what a typical Fallout game is like.

Dragon Age Origins. This is one of my all time favourite RPGs and is excellent but i think you will hate the combat. The plot is excellent. The gameplay is good depending how you like it. It is more geared towards players who like to approach battles with tatics instead of hacking everything to death and hope it works.

The Witcher 2. I've heard it's an excellent RPG and the 360 port is said to be excellent.

Dishonoured. It's more of a stealth FPS then RPG but it is worth playing. It's excellent and you can play it any way you want. From shooting your way to the target to carefully avoiding being seen and disposing of them in a non-lethal way.
