Riva, Imhotep and Timon

The barrel, already weakened from the shaking, broke horizontally around the middle, water spilling out onto the ground, making a large puddle.

Nanesta smiled, flexing her fingers.

"Actually," she said icily, "I think your colleague just handled that for me."

She whipped her left hand, closest to the water in an arch in front of her, and the water came flying at Imhotep, knocking him into Timon and Riva. Nanesta retracted the water, keeping it in a small globule between her hands.

"Heh. Idiots. Have a good one."

She ran off down the alley, out towards the market.

Imhotep was in a jumble of arms, legs and bodies and couldn't tell what was his at first. His head hurt from the hit and so decided to try and get off of the the other two angels and then lie on the ground.

Riva was quite thoroughly squished under Imhotep, her cheek painfully pressed into the asphalt. "Fuuuhin bihhh!" Came the angrily mumbled grunt from beneath the small of his back.

Imhotep, Timon and Riva

Imhotep got off the top of their pile-up with relative ease. The demon was still sprinting for the end of the alley.

Alida and Cato

The guard sighed.

"Another guard? Uh... This young recruit-y looking fellow went down that alley there, towards the bakeries," he said, pointing down an alleyway to his right. "No halberd, very focused on something."

Riva scramled to her feet, wiped the gravel off of her cheek, and without further ado sprinted after their charge, swearing to herself.

"Thank you" said Alida, already making off in the direction the guards had pointed them in.

Invictus

Invictus didn't know how to shoot the damned thing. He assumed that you pulled the trigger but he also assumed that more was needed to fire the blasted thing. Did it even have any ammunition inside it. So, instead of shooting the [&@%!] right there, he did the next best thing. He tried to beat the demon over the head with the gun, trying to use the heaviest side as a club.

Invictus

There was a loud, wooden thump when the handle of the gun hit the demon child's head. She just giggled again.

"See. Nothing."

Riva, Imhotep and Timon

The demoness looked back, grinning as she burst out onto a wide road, knocking over several people as she skid though a left turn, heading downhill.

Alida and Cato

It didn't take that long for Alida and Cato to arrive at a small rotunda, from which only a narrow road led in and out. Invictus could be seen in one side of the small circle, apparently in the middle of a face-off with a wooden pole, while opposite him, a little girl was giggling helplessly, her large horns uttering a low 'thump' every time they hit the table she was sitting at.

Invictus

Still facing the demon, Invictus could see Alida and Cato enter out of the corner of his eyes, seemingly passing through solid wall.

"Well... this wasn't what I expected." Before moving on she looked to Cato, wondering if he had any guess to what was going on. She had no idea what experience he had with demons.

Riva skidded out onto the road after the demoness, keeping up a quiet, furious mantra of swearing. "Your net!" she snapped at Imhotep. "Take her down!"

Invictus

"Aha! Adila, Cato! I have found the dæmoness! Quickly! Run hither to me! It seems that she is using some foul magics to absorb my attacks, unless this is some foul biological mechanism of defence. Nay! I say, this is cheating! Bad sport, I say!"

Cato looked at Alida with a raised eyebrow, not sure what exactly was going on. He began to make his way over to Invictus, hoping to find out what was going on.

Hidden:
Just to clarify: To Invictus, he is standing in front of the demon with his gun pointed at her. To Cato and Alida, he is facing a pole, and the demon is opposite him. Could you perhaps please redo your post, lantern?
Imhotep, Timon and Riva

The demoness gasped as her left leg got entangled in the net, sending her face first into the ground once more that afternoon. Her tail was still standing upright, stinger turned towards the three approaching angels, swaying threateningly.

The public around Riva, imhotep and Timon began shying away from them.

Riva, without hesitation, gave the Demoness a zinger of a kick in the arse with her steel-toed boot, right below the base of her tail.

Riva, Imhotep, Timon

The demoness' tail jerked back at the kick, the scorpion spine smacking into Riva's face, leaving a gash down her cheek, while Nanesta curled up in a ball, letting out a startled squeal at the kick, a pool of water beneath her slumped body showing that she had dropped her ball of water.

"Gahhkdammit!-," Riva exclaimed, or something very like to it. In the excitement of the moment, the burning pain of the slash barely registered. She jumped on top of the demoness, and tried to get her rolled over onto her back. She wasn't in the mood for any more stings or slashes, that was for sure.
