Re: Skyrim General Discussion
Doesn't need one - the controller just needs to be plugged into the computer via a USB port, the computer should handle the rest.
Yes, really. It's what we've been saying the whole time.

There's no right thread for that response.

TBF, the bits about Xbox 360 Controllers being useable with PC Skyrim are still within a General discussion thread...

Re: Skyrim General Discussion
i could start a huge discussion about skyrim, kinect, the 360 and controller adapters. for me, i see them all within the corruption of the next gen of consoles. i can't believe that i'm going to come back to pc. why? control.CBR JGWRR wrote:TBF, the bits about Xbox 360 Controllers being useable with PC Skyrim are still within a General discussion thread...

Runes on PS3
was doing quick reading on a few different areas and noticed that some of the rune information may be incorrect. As i only play skyrim on the ps3 im speaking purely from my experiences on that platform alone. As of 5-20-2013 my character was able to cast two individual fire runes (both cast simultaneously from each hand) and they both left runes on the ground. neither rune fizzled and both did their listed damage as far as i was able to tell. dual casting or placing any other runes caused them both to dissipate and the new one take it's place accordingly. just thought id throw that out.
Re: Skyrim General Discussion
I can't wait to leap back into Skyrim come June 3rd.
I plan on playing as a Wood Elf, any tips for helping me with pickpocketing? Leveling up in pickpocketing is slow for me because I'd keep getting caught. :/

Re: Skyrim General Discussion
Linkuya, it depends whether or not you're willing to 'exploit' a method. Silda the Unseen in Windhelm trains you in pickpocket, and if you are simply trying to level your pickpocket skill, it works very well to pay for a single lesson, and then steal that money back 2 skill increases, no money spent- repeat. If you need to level a few more skills for that level up, almost all NPC's seem to carry either a gem or a piece of jewelry, both being easy to pickpocket and worth a bit of PP exp. Might also be worth saving frequently during that process, getting found sucks.
If you're not willing to use that method, another is to simply walk around nabbing the afore-mentioned gems and/or rings from the many NPCs. Good luck, and glad to see I'm not the only Bosmer enthusiast, too

It's not like my poaching is hurting anyone, the other hunters can hardly track every deer, can they?
Re: Skyrim General Discussion
Nords and Wood Elves are my favorite races.
And to be honest, I'd never heard of that first method.

Re: Skyrim General Discussion
Another good way to level pickpocket is to sneak up to enemies like bandits and pickpocket their things. If you get caught it doesn't matter because they're going to die anyway.

Re: Skyrim General Discussion
That's not a bad idea at all I might try that one on newer characters, I usually used to pickpocket and RP the guard just outside Dragonsreach, where you respawn immediately after paying off your fine.Mr.Argonian wrote:Another good way to level pickpocket is to sneak up to enemies like bandits and pickpocket their things. @Jun: That's actually a brilliant idea. Next time I start a new thief character, I'll have to try that out.

^Poor impulse control + bad decision making? As in "steal 100 septims, spend it all on booze/skooma/Skyrim equivalent of a pair of golden Crocs/Aldmeri prince scheme"?

It's really great paying Skyrim again. What DLC should I start first?

Dawnguard. Dragonborn after the mainquest, obviously.

Re: Skyrim General Discussion
Dawnguard due to the vampire attacks and because Dragonborn is supposed to be the Dovahkiin's final tale in lore. Personally, i would do it in this order, main quest/dawnguard(depending on the game itself), Dragonborn and Hearthfire(but chances are I will build a house before Dragonborn is started properly).

Re: Skyrim General Discussion
Is Skyrim worth buying for the PC if I already have it for the 360? I finally have the computer to run it and the funds to aquire it, but I'm just not sure...
