Nzuri raised an eyebrow at the simplistic answer Florian gave, but decided to humor him anyway. "Sep was made by Ruptga as a helper, to lead souls to where they could live long lives like him. The serpant was very hungry, though, and often would eat the souls he was supposed to help. Ruptga always pulled the souls out, of course." She paused in her story to see if Florian had anything to say or ask.

Florian nodded. "How did Ruptga pull the souls out.. after the serpent ate them?" He asked.

"With his hand," Nzuri said. "He would open Sep's mouth, put his arm in and pull them out of the serpent's belly."

Florian frowned and mimed doing it. "No no. That would hurt! Didn't Sep bite him with his fist in his mouth?"

Nzuri tilted her head. "I suppose it did, but Ruptga wanted to help the souls," she said.

Florian frowned. "No, pain and Sep might of bitten off an arm, then the other should Ruptga is.. But he has both arms.." The man frowned. "How.. Maybe it's a lie..?"

"Ruptga created Sep," Nzuri explained, "Can you truly be harmed by your own creation?"

"Can a blacksmith be harmed by a sword he forged?" Florian asked. "Can a mage be harmed by a spell she created?"

"That's different," Nzuri said. "but a sword and spell could both be blocked by the person that knows them intimately."

"Yes but.." Florian's creased his eyebrows. "Ruptga can't on known him that well.."

"Tell me how Sheogorath can be Jyggalag, then," Nzuri said. "That seems impossible, does it not?"

Florian frowned. "Huh?" He asked.

"Your grandfather," Nzuri said. "Is he not the Prince of Chaos and Order at the same time?"

Florian blinked, he didn't know this. "Was he?!" He said shocked.

"You know so little about your own grandfather and you presume that my stories are lies?" Nzuri asked.

"It's easier to believe when you don't understand." Irriwen pointed out haughtily. "That's how it always was with Yffre when I was a kid."

"Sometimes it is just as difficult when you do understand," added Sebastien quietly, hooking his thumbs under his belt. "I certainly don't understand why the Eight have forsaken us. Daedra, Thalmor, gods who treat us like hounds... I should think having tea with Sheogorath would be a lovely reprieve."

"I believe you would be disappointed," Nzuri said. "I was quite disappointed with my god."

Sebastien nodded. "As I was with mine," he replied, not without a hint of coldness. Then he lifted his shoulders in a lazy shrug. "But we've come this far; I suppose that alone is a small blessing...from whoever still cares about our lot."

"Dunno. Isn't it all more like legends anyway? Never seen any of the Old Gods, for sure..."

"Ebonarm, Sai, Kyna, Dibella," Siaenach said disninterestedly, shrugging. "I mean, I've only ever been told about them. I've no idea who the hell Ebonarm even is!"
