David walked over the nearest free table with his lunch and sat down. He began to eat the fish and chips whilst thinking about Jess. He wondered where she was but decided not to find out.

''Thank you'' Adam said to the chef before taking his tray and leaving the counter. he looked around the cafeteria, and was able to recognise the face of one person, who happened to be David. and decided to try and speak again.

Adam walked up to him, he looks a bit sad he thought to himself. ''um .. hello again'' Adam said to David with a smile.

Cyril left the cafeteria and wandered aimlessly through the hallways not sure what to do with his time.

David ignored him for a few seconds before realising that someone had spoken to him. "Oh, hi. Sorry, i was caught up in my thoughts. Feel free to join me." He said to Adam. He hated the fact that he and Jess were forced to keep their relationship a secret.

She changed it back to the other face but without Pincers then gave a good looking over of the Ice sculputure she made. "Do they live for about 100 years, Like Zandri? And how old to O'Sekra live for anyhow?" She asked.

Adam sat down at the tabel ''thanks, im just getting something to eat before heading back to the crew rooms'' he said to David.

Adam looked at him for a bit, then decided to speak. ''um, are you alright? you look a little bit sad, if you dont mind my asking.'' he said cautiously.

"I do? It's nothing. Sometimes, i hate the regulations regarding certain things." David said to Adam as he cut into his battered fish with his knife before eating a chunk of it.

''certain things? what kind of things?'' Adam said, feeling a little bit nosy, and still not touching his food.

"Relationships with other Enforcers." David said to Adam. His eyes widened when he realised he may have just revealed his relationship with Jess. He continued to eat his lunch but hoped that Adam would just assume he meant in general.

Adam noticed a small change in the enforcers face. uh oh, did i just stumble onto what i think i did?

''you dont happen to mean .. uh .... romantic relationships, do you?'' he asked nervously, despite the fact that every bone in his body was screaming at him to shut up, his curiosity, or maybe stupidity, got the best of him.

Jessica smiled and snuggled up to James. "I don't know, I think this might be really exciting. Who knows, we could encounter an alien race!"

"So, the food is decent on this ship." David said to Adam in an attempt to change the topic.

Adam finally realised what was going on. suddenly realising why David avoided his question in the elevator

despite him wanting to be cautious, he summoned up his courage and decided to speak up. ''waaait .. wait a minute.. you mean to say you've got something going on with another enforcer?'' he said in as commanding a voice as he could, while still keeping quiet. ''but .. isnt that against the rules?!you know, your peoples rules?!''

"Wouldn't it be terrible if it ended up that they're just as boring as we are?" James asked with a grin. "We meet an alien race and they only want to talk about knitting or something."

"No!" David exclaimed but he knew he had just revealed the relationship. "Bugger." he said as he facepalmed afterwards. "Yes, i have and yes it's against the rules but i need you to not mention this to anyone else. Ever." David said in a quiet tone to Adam.

Adam was still surprised at this revelation. oh damn it, this is some dramatic stuff. he thought to himself

Adam sat before David for a moment, thinking and sweating on the spot, he then looked David in the eye. if i keep it secret im breaking the rules with him ... but ... Argh, i dont know why i do this stuff ...

''um ...'' Adam began a bit of mumbling, ''ok, ok ... alright then.. fine...'' Adam sighed. ''your secret .... is safe with me ... i think ..'' he finally said. then took a nervous bite out of his cheese and began chewing...

David was shaken by this incident but he was glad that Adam had agreed to keep silent about his secret. David was sweating nervously. He continued to eat his lunch.

Jessica laughed, the thought of a ridiculous looking alien, knitting and talking like her grandma implanted in her head. After a while if silence, she moved her head out of James' shoulder. "We're not that boring." She pointed out.

"But if I was going to die, at least it would have been with you." Teelan said, the adrenaline making him feel more confident.

Jack arrived in the cafeteria and noticed Adam and a fellow enforcer he had seen earlier. He walked over and said "Hello... Adam?" he said hoping he got the name right. "I don't believe we've met. Hey, my names Jack." he introduced himself to the enforcer.

"David Fracket." David said to Jack whilst eating his lunch. He pulled out a chair for Jack and gave an inviting gesture for him to sit down.

Jack sat down. "So how are you liking the ship? I have to say, its a lot better posting than Mars." he said.

"It's amazing. I've served on quite a few of ships during my time but i've never seen a ship like this." David said to Jack as he put the last chunk of fish in his mouth and chewed on it.

Adam had calmed down from his previous talk with David.

''Hi ... Jack !'' Adam said to the man. ''by the way.. sorry about earlier, i was a little rude back there...'' he added

''from what i've seen, i think the ships fantastic!. the view was indeed great, like you said it would be. and the technology around here is pretty amazing stuff... foods not too amazing though'' Adam joked to the others.
