Invictus

The Heptarch nodded and wandered away, leaving Invictus alone, with the opportunities to continue down the road he had been following, a heading back towards the intersection he had passed a little while earlier.

Imhotep gave chase to the demoness. "Wait, come back!" he called after her.

Running around the market only to be knocked down by the demoness had left Alida feeling winded. However she couldn't just stand there and so she began to try follow after Imhotep, lacking for the moment the stamina to properly give chase.

Riva took out her net, deciding this was just the time to use it, and chucked it after the Demoness before she got too far away.

Who, me?
Alida, Riva, Imhotep, Cato and Timon

Riva, in a stroke of luck, just managed to catch the demon's left leg with the net, making her trip and plant her face in the marble for the second time in less than a minute, leaving Imhotep and Alida with the relatively simple task of making sure she didn't run again.

Imhotep approached the demoness, a look of worry on his face. He put his own net over her tail then knelt down beside her and asked, "Are you ok?"

Imhotep

The net draped itself over the girl's lower body, her tail curled upwards, stinger resting between her shoulderblades. She looked up, displaying a face of what could only be described as starch, strong hatred, face pale as a sheet and tears forming in her eyes.

"It's! Not! Fair!" she hissed, spitting at Imhotep.

Riva rubbed her eyes.

"Imhotep," She said in an oddly commanding whisper, "Pick her up and help me get her out of sight before someone notices what she is and hurts her."

Imhotep did as he was asked, or at least he tried to. He pulled up on the demoness' arms, gently trying to help her to her feet.

Cato signed quickly, heedless of the fact that no one would understand, "Why are you being so gentle? She's a Demon!"
Cato was all for kindness and compassion, but for such monsters as demons? He would never even consider that.

Imhotep, Alida, Riva, Cato and Timon

The demoness kicked backwards, striking Imhotep's knee with a bare foot, beginning a loud bout of wailing and screaming with fury. They were ebginning to attract attention from some of the peddlers nearby.

Riva quickly kicked off a boot, grabbed her sock, and stuffed it in the girl's mouth.

"She's obviously able to think and reason, there's no need to be cruel." She said in a a measured tone. "Even if she was born without morals." she added, but somehow it rang hollow.

Cato calmed down just enough to write, "So because she's intelligent, we should be kind to her? She is a Demon. She is the epitome, of evil."

The alley was, indeed, dark, seeing as it was but a narrow empty stretch unclaimed by any traders and scarcely 5 feet wide. The sunscreens on the adjacent stalls blocked out the sun, and it was obviously very rarely used.

The demoness was still kicking with all her might, even attempting to headbutt Riva as she gagged her.

Invictus ran off, in search of the man that the heptarch was looking for. He may have had a duty to do, but a mission from a heptarch was more important in his mind that a quest for hunting demons. He was sure that the others had the competence between them to catch a demon.

Riva very narrowly dodged being headbutted, before rolling her eyes. "Listen, we could just drag you away and toss you into the deepest pits of the void, that's what our job is. But I need to see for myself what Demons are like first, so stop squirming..."

Invictus

Invictus sped past many angels, including a few which he might have gotten suspicions about if he had taken his time, but he did not find any man like Heptarch Ilianos had described.

Everyone else

The demon shot Riva a scathing glare that would no doubt have been accompanyed by a sarcastic comment of sorts had the demoness been able to talk through her gag. As it were, all that came out was a continuous stream of hysteric grumbling.

She did stop her struggle briefly, though she was still very much looking [&@%!].

It occurred to Alida that she ought to make better use of herself and keep watch. She distanced herself from the group, trying to blend in with nearby stools, listening and watching incase the group attracted any unwanted attention.

"Okay, set her down, please, Imhotep?" Riva asked, placing a hand on his shoulder when they had reached the darkest depths of the alley. "But keep a hold on her."
