Skyrim mysteries
Skyrim mysteries
So I’m playing through the thieves guild questline again. I’m breaking into Goldenglow Estate, like you do, and suddenly I wondered - why the hell are there so many human skeletons in the sewer beneath Goldenglow? It looks like there’s even some kind of prison cell down there. I mean I get it, skeletons are standard fare for dungeons, but what the hell was going on down there? I really wish the game explained why Aringoth's apparently has a murder dungeon in his basement.

Rune of the Thieve's Guild. Always bugged me that there's nothing you can do to find out more about him and his past.
I wonder if he's just an homage to Lone Star from Spaceballs. Necklace with writing that nobody knows.

Read a conspiracy theory that the Thalmor are attempting to pull a Dwemer and ascend the mortal plane, which is why they're taking over the world. To have the resources to do so. I want to believe this is true. Gives them a layer of depth.
The truth is out there.

Re: Skyrim mysteries
I want to know more about Miraak. He's really the only character whose backstory I want to know. We know so little... And I want more.
At the same time, I also want to know more about Mercer Frey. Aside from what happens during the quests, we know nothing about him aside from the fact he's a greedy man with an incredible hunger for power. A rude one, too.
Also want to know more about the Thalmor. Right now, I just see them as a group of rude Altmer who want to control every little thing. An annoying group of Altmer.
I also kinda want to know what's going to happen to the Greybeards. They're just a group of four old men. Do others come to join (and eventually replace) them or not? And what happens to our scaly friend who resides upon the top of the Throat of the World?

Also, why was it when I was in Apocrypha I was so expecting to run into Morian Zenas or at least a hint of his voyage. So much more could have been done, rather than go from point A to point B.

Re: Skyrim mysteries
I always wondered what happened to Mrs Balgruuf. The Jarl has three young children but his wife is never mentioned. Especially interesting since
There's no lore behind it at all, but I imagined her deciding to fight for the Stormcloaks and then getting killed. Cue the animosity between Balgruuf and Ulfric, and the Missus is never mentioned in Dragonsreach again.

The real Greybeards are much more numerous, with members of all ages and abilities. While very, very, very few are summoned (Tiber Septim and our Character in Skyrim the only ones in centuries) nords who show a natural apptitude for the voice, or want to put the decades of effort required to learn, are allowed to go there.
There's only 4 in the game for gameplay reasons...
Paarthy, most likely, is dead.
He is free, but can't return to Tamriel permenantly owing to the time spent in the soul Cairn, he would fade from existance.BetaB17 wrote:I wonder if Durnehviir will ever be free from his masters.. poor fellow >_> I always let him be fly about even when I have no foes to fight>_<

Re: Skyrim mysteries
Caius is his first name. I'd assume it's a fairly common Cyrodiilic name.Raynil dralas wrote:Is commander caius in white run a decendant of caius cosades from morrowind?
For instance, certain famous names like Amiel and Attrebus are attributed to several characters in TES history. That doesn't make them related, especially as they don't share a family name.
Monsters are bred in labyrinths, labyrinths are bred from walls. There is a reason the Giants choose to remain nomadic rather than follow their shield kin the Nords in building permanent settlements. The Tower is the beginning of all walls.

Are you kidding? he looks just like him even one of the skyrim wikis says it may be a reference.Br3admax wrote:No, they aren't similar enough.
Plus there seems to be alot of references to morrowind in skyrim (a whole dlc for one) finding keening, septimus seeking the heart of lorkhan etc.
