They Came From Beyond The Stars!

Jim jumped after the grey and tried to grab it. He didn't want to hurt it but he wasn't sure if Nancy was done talking to it.

[Musicman247]

You didn't answer me! Where does the gate go? Nancy said.

She tried to tackle the alien.

[Kerr]

Nancy managed to tack the grey. He squealed and tried to push her off him. Let me go! was the thought Nancy received.

[p-sto]

Jim joined Nancy and tried to assist her in holding down the grey.

[Musicman247]

Tell me and I will! Nancy said.

[Kerr]

The grey wasn't being agreeable. He was trying in vain to get free.

[Musicman247]

Tell me now! Nancy said.

[Kerr]

"For now, but they could try again in future." sent the grey to Nancy. "Please, I just want to go home."

[Velvet LeChance]

Sam, carbine in hand, stepped out of the vent system, crouched low and began to survey the area.

[Musicman247]

"If we blow the portal it will stop the council for now," Nancy said. She waited to see what Jim said, holding onto the alien for now.

[p-sto]

"I sort of wish we brought the nuke now." Jim replied. "We could have left it on the other side of the gate and used the grenades to blow it up on this side. Could have slowed them down a bit more."

[Musicman247]

"So what should we do? Let this one go? Close the gate first?" Nancy asked.

[p-sto]

"Maybe we should just let him go and take out the gate now." Jim replied. "It would be nice if we had more time to do things properly but who knows where the other grey even went. He could be coming back with friends right now."

[Musicman247]

"He went through the gate, didn't he?" Nancy asked, remembering getting locked on her ass by the fleeing alien. She let go of the alien she was holding.

[p-sto]

"Yes," Jim confirmed. "We probably shouldn't waste much more time."

[Musicman247]

Nancy stood and walked back over to the open console. "I guess a few grenades in this will do it," she said.

[Kerr]

The grey got up and ran through the gate. The Russians moved back over to the blast doors.

[Velvet LeChance]

Sam walked another metre away from the vent opening and gazed across in the direction of the woodland. Checking to see if the creature was truly gone.

[Kerr]

The bug had moved back into the woods.

[Musicman247]

Not waiting for affirmation, Nancy pulled the pins on the frag grenades she had, threw them in the control panel and then ran away, pulling Jim with her.

[p-sto]

Jim ran at Nancy's prompt, letting her lead him where ever she was going.

[Kerr]

The grenades went off and destroyed the gate. It made the portal begin to suck everything into it. It first sucked the remains of the gate in and was pulling on everything else in the room. The whole time the portal was getting larger. Everyone in the room could feel the portal pulling them towards itself. It was weak now but they could feel it growing in strength. The Russians began to run up the stairs. It was time to go.

[Dirty Spaceman]

"Yikes," said Sid. "Let's get out of here!" He began to follow the Russians, hurrying up the stairs back to (hopefully) safety.

[Musicman247]

Nancy ran as fast as she could, no doubt lagging slightly behind Jim, toward any exit that she saw.

[p-sto]

Jim in fact kept his pace with Nancy, not wanting to leave her behind. He guided her towards the stairs figuring the way they came was the best way out.
