"Twenty-four," Adam said drinking the rest of the water, " I remember being eighteen. I should tell you that life really sucks until you turn twenty-one," he said.

Derek walked with Karina in awkward silence for a short time. After giving it some thought he decided perhaps she'd get back to a better mood if we have something fun to talk about again. Spending a bit of time thinking of what they could talk about Derek finally said. "So this cruise we were talking about. What time of year do you think would be best to go?"

"Doesn't look like it's a barrel of sunshine at twenty-four either," Ralph said. "But yeah, I know all about life sucking."

Derek
Karina did smile a little at the mention of the cruise. "Spring or summer," she said. "I've heard the weather in Europe is nice then."

"My mom knows, but she's the only one," Kelly said. She took a bite of chicken.

"Yeah, I think late spring or summer would be nice." Derek replied. "Of course we'd probably be spending most of our time on the boat so we'd have to make the most of our time in Europe. Is there anything there you'd really like to see."

Séline tapped her fingers on the dashboard. The conversation had gone stagnant.

"I was in Bangor earlier." she thought of something to say. "I was at the Mall. It was good."

Clara finished rubbing her eyes and waited for the nurse to take the IV out of her arm.

Séverine smiled at her girlfriends decision to wait, whilst shagging in the back of a moving car did sound rather exciting she wanted their first time to be special, romantic and memorable and whilst doing it in the car did tick the first and the last box it didn't tick the second or at least for her it didn't.

It was a few seconds before she gave a response to the other woman's question, with meeting Paula's parents being informal now she honestly didn't know. "Well I was going to go in and buy s dress for tonight but since it's not formal I guess I don't really have to." She replied
softly, giving her girlfriend's hand a gentle squeeze as they spoke. "Though I could do with a few new shirts maybe a few other pieces."

The Quebecois gave a short pause before tilting her head upwards and softly whispering into her girlfriends ear, blushing for fear that Marty may be listening in. "And I was thinking I might have you pick out some lingerie for me. You know, for tonight." She added.

Derek
"The Eiffel Tower," Karina said. "I've always dreamed of going there with the person I loved and kissing them there. I've read it's romantic."

Adam
"I'm a girl called Ralph," she said, "and that's just the start. My parents are too strict. I'm an adult but they still treat me like a little kid. Then when I complain about it, instead of addressing my points, they just say I can move out whenever I want!"

Séline
"The mall, huh?" Marty asked. "Yeah, it's ok. Nothing like the Mall of America, though. That place is huge! Indoor rollercoaster and everything. You can buy just about anything there. And I do mean anything."

Clara
The nurse removed the IV and put a bandaid on the prick mark. She then took out Clara's clothes and set them on the bed. "You can change now," she said. "Do you need help?"

Séverine
Paula blushed slightly when Séverine said lingerie. "Only if you pick out some for me," she replied. She smiled and squeezed her girlfriend's hand as well.

"No, i should be able to dress myself. I may be a broken woman but i'm not 100% useless." Clara told the nurse. Would you mind giving me some privacy as i'm not comfortable having another woman watch me get dress. Not that you are not pretty. You are but at the moment, I'm not comfortable having women watch me strip." Clara said to the nurse and blushed when she realised that she was rambling on.

"Well...you can," Adam said, "I moved out when I was eighteen. As for the name, call yourself something else than; people only call you Ralph because you let them."

"The Mall of America?" Séline asked, interested.

"I have heard Paris is beautiful. The architecture, the art, the food, the wine. It's all supposed to be quite amazing." Derek replied.

The nurse blushed a little, too. She hasn't ever been called pretty by a woman before and she didn't know whether she liked it or not.

"Of course," she said. "I wasn't going to stay unless you needed help." She moved toward the door with small steps. She turned around before leaving and said, "When you're done just press the call button and I'll bring your wheelchair. She shut the door behind her as she left.

"Where would I go, though?" Ralph asked. "I don't have a job, and nobody I knew from high school stayed in Hope Falls." She sighed before going on, " As for the name, what can I do? It's my name."

Séline
"Yeah, theMall of America. Biggest shopping mall in the world, I think," Marty said. "It's over in Minnesota. It's huge, and by huge I mean it's really big."

Derek
"I know, right?" Karina said, looking up and smiling. "It's like the love capitol of the world or something. Can I have some more lemonade?"

Baruch
She freaked out. Just like you did, Kelly said with a smile. Then she thought it was a gift from God, so she helped me control it better.

Clara took off the hospitial gown after she got out of the bed. She put her white top on first and then her black trousers followed by her black shoes. She sat back down on the bed and pressed the nurse's button.

"Well, it seems I'll have to go there sometime." smiled Séline. "Maybe you'll take me there one day, if I played my cards right."

"Oh, I thought it was Ralfienne. With a name that long, I'm sure you can get something besides 'Ralph' out of it. And you can get a job, i'm sure." Adam sighed, "It would be better than being bossed around, even if it is by your parents."

The nurse opened the door and pushed in a wheelchair. "Have a seat," she said.

You really think Marty knows that?

"You don't need to play at cards, just ask," Marty said with a smile. "Ol' Marty will show you a great time."

"Hmm...Alf? Fienne? Fi?" Ralph said, trying to find a suitable replacement for her nickname. "I don't think there's a good name there." She looked at the ground at they walked. "I guess I could get a job, but where would I stay? I want to move out immediately if I can."

Clara stood up and walked to the wheelchair before sitting down in it.

Derek kissed Karina on the forehead before offering her the lemonade and saying. "Sure."

Séverine blushed even deeper at the request, glancing up at Marty and Séline before nodding in agreement. "Sure." She muttered softly into her lovers ear, smiling as she planted a small kiss on the lobe.
