Re: Your favorite and hated NPCs
Favourite would be Serana (even if Beth wont let us marry her) she's one of the few NPCs I've got attached to.
Least favourite would be The Adoring Fan- so incredibly annoying, and he RESPAWNS!

She's an unmitigated boss. Have you read the Thalmor report about her, which mentions her effective work against the Dominion, and her slaughtering of an entire Thalmor hit squad sent to kill her?Elenath wrote:I never understood all the Delphine hatred. I always thought she was sort of cool.

Favorite NPCS:
The Arena pitmaster(think his name is owen).
Sheo. By the way, does anyone want some cheese? Wait, scratch that, we all out of cheese. No cheese for everyone.
Parthy.
Cicero.
Haskill.
The blacksmiths in the captial of the isles.
Saguine(can't remeber how it is spelt).
Martin Septim. It's more of me respecting the fact that he didn't back down from his destiny. Not many people could handle being told that they are the son of Uriel and pretty much the only hope for stopping Mehrunes Dagon.
Balguuf. Despite everything that is happening, he is one of the few Jarls that onlu care about one thing. The people of their holds. And he is the first one to adknowledge us as Dragonborn.
Hated NPCs:
Delphine. I'm the dragonborn. Didn't you see me kill that dragon or hear me shout? Oh so you me to kill Parthy the least hostile dragon in all of Skyrim instead of slaying Alduin's allies? And you have the guts to tell me to get lost if i refuse. Sure, he was a monster but he is responsible for the rebellion against the dragons. But should parthy die is another topic for another day.
The Annoying Fan. Do i need to say more?
The theif that you can encounter along the round in Skyrim. He/she is just tedious.
DB assassain. Just tedious.
I want to say Maven Blackbriar due to how she uses her power and treats everyone that she feels is below but i actually respect her and hope that one day she will become a major villain in a TES game. If it's set a few years after Skyrim.
Titus Mede II. You selfish milkdrinker!
The Imperial Guards. I hate their ability to detect a crime despite there being noone around to see me commit said crime and for treating me like a mass murderer if i have only stolen a sweetroll.

My most hated has got to be Delphine.
I don't even really need to explain why.

Re: Your favorite and hated NPCs
My most hated NPCs, hmm Fargoth came to mind in a heartbeat, no explanation needed there.
The Adoring fan was such a chirpy irritating little hobbit, but he had his good qualities... like
making my journeys to Dive Rock more worthwhile.
The Ordinators definitely. Always treating me like some criminal scum, regardless of how honorable and well known my character was.
And Gaenor I think his name was, that Wood Elf from Mournhold who always seemed to be "down on his luck",
he was just a rude, smug little *******. Anyone who has had the displeasure of meeting him will know exactly what I'm talking about. And trying to kill him... Divines help me. :\
Now for favorite NPCs..
Divayth Fyr tops the list by far. Chilling in his tower with his full Daedric, back in the day when wearing Daedric meant something...
Crassius Curio was a very interesting person to get to know.
Sheogorath is a definite for this list, very charismatic man who is good for a laugh (or oddly inspirational quotes).
And lastly the Orc from the Cheydinhal Sanctuary who's name escapes me sadly.
Call me a racist but all Orsimer names sound the same. Except for Agronak, that half-cast [&@%!] son of a vampire.

I agree. I just really hate Nazeem, all full of himself. Thinking he is high and mighty when he only owns a petty farm. Wish i could kill you without always getting caught. The Midnight Lance wrote:My most hated npc is Nazeem.

As for my personal favorite, I am tied, must it be an NPC or to a degree a non-human.
If the later is the case, I must go with my best friend Paarthurnax. May I forever submit to his voice and follow his ways. If it must be a literal npc, serana simply because the story effectively created a bond.
As for most hated.. Lydia without a doubt. Its namely because she is so overrated by many despite having nothing special about her. Of all the housecarls, she is the easiest to get.

Re: Your favorite and hated NPCs
Old thread, but... I think I'm going to have to change my answer. With the release of Dragonborn and the fact that I've put more time into Oblivion and Morrowind, I've got more to say than I did last time.
Favorite NPC's:
Neloth (from Skyrim's Dragonborn, though he wasn't too bad in Morrowind). The man is funny. He's certainly arrogant and rather self-centered, but he's got gold for lines. I'm trying not to smirk the whole time while dealing with him.
Paarthurnax. He's awesome, and I don't think anything could make me NOT like him. The most interesting Dragon in the game.
Miraak. Yeah, yeah. He steals the souls of Dragons you kill... But his voice. Just listen to his voice! Well, that and I find him oddly interesting. I want to know more about his past, but unfortunately, there's not really much information on that. He's got an element of mystery to him.
Hermaeus Mora. He's developed a bit more during Dragonborn, and I've come to like him. Creepy voice aside, he became more dynamic in Dragonborn. I have a blast pondering my character's fates. More likely than not they will wind up serving him in Apocrypha.
Sheogorath. A bundle of laughs, that one. The Shivering Isles is probably the most memorable DLC I've played and Sheogorath is another one of those characters who has me constantly smiling at my PC.
Martin Septim. Oblivion went from this totally cartoonish fight to a rather depressing ending. I think our characters become friends with him during the main quest. He's also very respectable for being able to handle the events of the Oblivion Crisis.
Lucien Lachance. That voice... I liked him during Oblivion's Dark Brotherhood. It's just too bad he met that particular fate.
Hated NPC's
Valen Dreth and his relative in Skyrim. Valen's little "introduction" in the Prison was bad enough, but then you have his relative in Skyrim going on and on about him... Let's just say that I appreciate a certain Oblivion Dark Brotherhood quest.
The Ordinators. One of these days, I swear I'll kill them all.
Mercer Frey. He tries to kill us. It was a bad idea from the start and only results in his end.
Delphine. Ask me to kill Paarthurnax, huh? This is what you get.
Ancano (and pretty much the rest of the Thalmor). They're just annoying.
The Adoring Fan. He's useful only for target practice.

Favourite: Sheogorath and Haskill, hands down. Easily my favourite part of Oblivion.
Hated: The Jarl of Whiterun's kid. I forget his name.
Every time I pass him by, he just goes "Yay. Another one here to lick my father's boots". I'm sorry, you spoiled brat, did you miss the part where I just saved the city and slew a DRAGON? I'm not sure if his attitude will improve as my career as Dragonborn progresses, but he just rubbed me the wrong way the first time I saw him.

Re: Your favorite and hated NPCs
i'd say my most ''Hated'' characters are usually the good characters that are either underused or used wrong.
so if i were to go on this method, my most hated NPCs would be Esbern and Delphine.
if you want characters who were just plain old bad, Alduin. he is just crap, in almost every possible way.

My favorite would have to be Serana. Literally built an immediate bond with her.
My most hated NPC is probably…every single NPC that thinks of his/herself better than everyone else. They just make me want to punch them in the kisser until they can't say anymore.

Skyrim: Every single Thalmor man out there (call me) > Rolff Stone-Fist.

My favorites would be Erik the Slayer and the hilarious J'zargo. I don't think I have any NPCes I particularly despise, though I guess I could pretty much just say any and all Thalmor NPCes I've ever encountered.
They tend to be enormous [&@%!].

Likes:
Erandur, Brunwulf Free-Winter, Brelyna Maryon, J'zargo, generally Argonians and Khajiit and non-Thalmor elves with some personality. Encountering any attractive elf/beast man in Skyrim, I become that toon woman in Roger Rabbit: "A MAAAAAYYYYAAAAN!"
My tough women: Mjoll, Borgakh, Delphine, Brelyna again (ugh so cute, total girlcrush). I like Mirabelle Ervine too.
Bothela and Idgrod Ravencrone, my cool weird grandmas.
I like random encounters with silly characters, so whenever I see M'aiq the Liar or Talsgar the Wanderer off in the distance, I shout "M'AIIIIQ/TALSGAAAAR, YOU SON OF A *****!" or "YOU OLD DOG!" and immediately go over to talk to them. Yes, I yell at my computer screen.
Dislikes:
I've never had that Draco In Leather Pants attraction to villains, so I just don't like Ancano, Ondolemar, any Thalmor.
Ugh, the Companions make me want to join the Silver Hand. I try not to let fandom popularity affect my opinions of characters, but god, I'm so tired of hearing about the wolf twins.
Don't like the Thieves Guild either. They and the Black-Briars ruin Riften, and several good people live there. Ingun's okay, though.
Not a fan of Ulfric and the Stormcloaks, though my allegiance to the Empire comes with serious reservations and I don't often do the Civil War questline.
I find Olfrid Battle-Born pretty irritating.
I have several pre-Skyrim favorites and unfavorites too. I do miss the Black Horse Courier brothers. They bring the news of the people to the people!

Reynauld and Guilbert Gemane. the twins.
the first guy has some of my favourite quotes in TES : ''I'm sick and tired, tired and sick, and maybe a little drunk'' and ''you go find this person who is besmirching my good name... and you tell him I'm perfectly good at besmirching my own good name!''
and I just like the storyline behind the two of them.

Favourite NPC: Neloth, his sense of humour and quests was a refreshing part in Skyrim.
Hated NPC: I-don'laugh (Idolaf) Battleborn. You're either a Battleborn or you get the threats. Then you have his brother who seems to be lactose intolerant and has a slight jealous side of him because of it.
