I'm actually not that pumped for RAM. After the amount of previews of Get Lucky that I was quasi forced to watched, I'm just eeeeh. I'll still get the album, but I can tell you right now that Get Lucky won't be a track I'll be listening to much.

I don't know, something about it is so perfect, it just clicks. The vocals, the ambiguous guitar/synth mix, it's just so natural and catchy.

Electronic music needs more of this. I'm not going to say that it needs to be more like this album we're going to be seeing soon, since obviously we don't know what that will be, but I'd love to see it start moving more into this direction of better production and studios and all of that, and that will come as the genre evolves, of course.

The vocals are what puts me off the most. That and the all too natural sound of the instruments. I always liked DP's hard percussion, the fresh sounding synths and the distorted vocals. Now I get a samey guitar riff, acoustic drums, and an RnB singer. I'm sorry, what? That's not what Daft Punk means to me. There was one passage in Get Lucky that got me stoked, when the sound suddenly turns hard and the good ol' voice distortion kicks in, but that only lasted about 20 seconds, in a 4 minute track. It's like Daft Punk are the ones being featured and not Pharrel.

I think the premise they've announced, using real people as "samplers" is cool, but if the entire album sounds like this then I'm gonna be sorely disappointed.
