A weapon suspender station would've been a good complement to the 2-weapon limit now that I think about it.

Re: Bioshock
I would have like to be able to buy weapons from vending machines. Sometimes I'd be waiting and waiting for a shotgun, but nobody wanted to drop one.
I haven't yet played 1999 mode so I'll see where that lies on the scale of fun vs frustration, but on normal, the combat was definitely less grindy than in the original game. I prefer regenerating shields to the distinctly odd health system in the first game. Why not just give the player five times as much health instead of making me tap F when the bar is approaching empty? I understood it with EVE hypos, because it was like 'reloading' your supply when you ran empty, but the health packs irritated me.

Re: Bioshock
Check it:

I'll inevitably end up doing another run to mop up the rest of the voxophones and stuff but for now, there's a hole in my soul. And I'm torn between wanting more Bioshock now but I also know that it'll take time in order for it to be good.

That reminds me, I forgot to look through one telescope - at the part where you fight the second handyman at the end of Finkton - but it says I'm missing two. I hope that isn't a bug. If it is, I shall be annoyed.

I'll watch through a collectible guide on YT until I find the one I missed. That's how big of an achievement [&@%!] I am.
And I hear there's some funny dialogue if you stay long enough in the boat at the beginning. Gonna check that out.

Re: Bioshock
Really? Yet another thing I missed. I'm starting to wonder how much of the game I've actually seen.

Re: Bioshock
The Lutece's have some great dialogue if you stay with them. After you flip the coin if you stick around they say a few funny things, then the lady says "If you're going to just stand there I'm going to just start repeating myself." or something to that effect.

Try shooting them after they give you the shield. I found that one out this time around.

Re: Bioshock
Rapture was more lethal then Columbia due to the splicers, big daddies and sisters and the city falling apart. As well as everything having fallen apart years ago by the time both Bioshock games take place. Okay, Delta has seen it before the civil war but we only see a few seconds before he takes a nap for 10 years. I think the developers said that Jack wouldn't last a minute in Rapture during the time it is set in that Bioshock 2 takes place.
Columbia is a city that is still functioning and in the proccess of falling apart. That said, it's nowhere near as dangerous as Rapture is.

I played the original and enjoyed it, however I thought it was a little overrated.
For that reason I have not purchased the new one.

Started Infinite yesterday, really enjoying it so far.
Elizabeth is a great character from what I've had of her.

Re: Bioshock
I disagree. The second Bioshock was better then the first one. And very sad depending on the ending. You actually end up feeling sorry for Subject Delta, a Big Daddy who is only following his instincts during the game and actually comes off as a decent character. I always shed some tears at the very good ending due to what happens. And then Bioshock:infinite just had to make it's ending sadder.
Elizabeth is a very likely character and unlike most characters that you have to protect in gaming, she is smart. She avoids getting in your way and aids you. Yes, i'm looking at you TES and your AI that seems to love getting in the way of a Daedric Greatsword. Am glad that they ditched the Multiplayer from Bioshock:Infinite but had hoped that they would have made the plot longer or given us more sidequests. Oh well.

Re: Bioshock
Bioshock is the best of the 3. Bioshock 2 is a poor sequel and overall a pretty meh game. It detracts from the self contained story set up in the original. How is rapture still around? Did you see the condition of the place by the end of 2? Bioshock didn't need a direct sequel. And who's idea was it to make the worst part of Bioshock (escorting the sisters) such an important part of 2? I just shoved them in tubes as soon as I could, [&@%!] that escorting. It feels like it was made to get more money rather than to make a good game. The game itself isn't bad. It's just mediocre.
So we have come to solve every squabble in the village personally?

Re: Bioshock
That's just a matter of opinion there KCK. Personally, I thought the second was the best (although I can understand why people think otherwise), especially the DLC Minerva's Den. But hey, each to their own.Knight Captain Kerr wrote:Bioshock is the best of the 3. Bioshock 2 is a poor sequel and overall a pretty meh game. Re: Bioshock
Although I got sent back to the main menu once early in the game, i can honestly say I think I'm doing better in my 1999 playthrough than i did in my hard one.
The vox populai handy man that killed me a million times i killed without dying once. I'm actually dying less over all. I rarely die in fire fights.
I have a [&@%!] load of money usually. Only weapon I upgraded was the carbine, the charge and Possession being the only vigours.
Oh, and i went 8 Hp and 7 shield and 2 salts, with infusions
