I like being a mage at low levels and really high level my 99, yes 99 altmer born under the atronach is amazing i can one spell kill a full room on the highest difficulty when you get to high levels trying to stab people isn't as effective in my opinion. And stealthy characters and theives get owned unless you use full chamelon armour which in my opinion is cheating.

Personally, I'm an Assassin all the way, and with a XXX poisoned magical arrow shot from a magical bow, out of the shadows, if my nastiest foe survives the shot, it won't take more than a couple of swings of Umbra to bring him down. (or the second arrow)And stealthy characters and theives get owned unless you use full chamelon armour which in my opinion is cheating.
I still wear the same DB armor I got when I joined the brotherhood, even though now the Listener, and I certainly never get "owned". Quite the contrary. I have to turn up the difficulty to even have it present a challenge. Heck, with my acrobatics, I could simply sit on the rooftop and snipe a town's guards if I like.
Full Chameleon is pointless, might as well toggle god mode and be done with it. I don't use any Chameleon, as I never seemed to have any luck with it anyhow... I just use Sneak and Night Vision. With that combo, you can go through any cave, ruin, Oblivion plane etc. and kill everything in sight, usually without even alerting their buddies (if you time it right) or even allowing them to take a swipe at you.
Owned indeed....

Warrior all the way! I prefer the nice, hands-on approach of using blades, blunt weapons and even fists over magic. Just my own personal preference.
I'll try to help if I can.

I've never really had a pure mage so it's hard to say. Stealth is fun because with a bow you can snipe an enemy from a long distance and by the time they run over to you you've shot them enough times that they're dead. It's really nice not having to be right next to an enemy because then they can hurt you.
Warrior is fun because you never worry about being seen. You can just run in and hack away. You don't try getting sneak attacks or anything, you just kill everything. The only problem is that's sort of bland for me. It's just boring and nothing special.

Yep, I like the skill it takes of arcing the arrow just right, when all the way across the cavern of a big cave or ruin. Even if his buddy notices the attack, often they still can't find me, so they wander around stupidly, giving me time to pull another arrow, hehe....
Or, for fun, add the challenge of "corpse diving"...try to shoot them in such a way that they plummet off of a high position...preferably doing a nice flip in the process....

Thief can be pretty fun, at least it's not one hit one kill.

I just love this game, no matter what class. Since Borderlin posted I feel very exuberant about playing.
I'm a mage at heart, and if it weren't for the fact i try to play only one to two hours a day during summer, i'd decide to have a cleric character.
I do like to swing a sword too though, a good spellsword is just peachy, Paralyze and Slice....

Which Hunter
I am a Which Hunter, and I love the class. I have tried full on warrior and Crusaders, and full mage classes, but I just cant get into either one. I like the mix of talents I get with the Witch Hunter, and I work on all of my skills, not just the major ones, so really I can do anything except wear heavy armor efficiently.
I like stealth, the bows, alchemy, and casting. So far, I haven't ever been owned.
Wish we could pvp.

I'm mainly a theif. Absolutly LOVE Thieves Guild and The Dark Brotherhood. Major skills are Blade, Restoration, Light Armor, Marksman, Mercantile, Security and Sneak. I actually messed up with the major skills lol i meant to put acrobatics but ended up clicking restoration and never noticed lol I love my character though

There is a similar thread, "post your character" But that thread is much longer and in depth as far as what it is asking for and people's responses to that thread are much longer and in depth.

Gah. I (expletive deleted) dislike how nearly everyone likes to group Archers with Thieves. Then again, I probably get irked over this due to my experiences during my MapleStory days.
Damned generic MapleStory Assassins with their crappy grammar, stat-and-damage obsessive star slinging, Naruto-based usernames, and their 'Archers = Failed Assassins' rethoric.
*cough* But anyways, since Archer isn't a choice, the next best choice for my Archer/Mage hybrid class would be, well, Mage.

I made a 'Raven Lord'(Custom Class) with 'The Raven' birthsign(Birthsign made in CS), and is Imperial ofcourse.
And when i get more skilled in CS, i might create a 'Ravenblade'(Fine Steel Claymore with raven feathers on and between the crossguards.), and some 'Raven Armor'(Imagine leather armor, without the leather and only raven feathers.).
And when i get even more skilled in CS, i might create the Ravenous Isle.

It is possible to be a warrior-archer. I just wish the game had some sort of "look behind" button so I don't find myself backing into a boulder (or stumble off a cliff).Redguard_Master wrote:warrior. archery doesn't work for me unless it's combined with high stealth. they need an auto-lock function in the game, everyone else seems to have it. i use some magic, but only to supplement my fighting. stuff like a brief paralyze, healing, and the like.
