Foreshadowing. The game is full to the goddamn brim with it.

Currently playing 1999. I didn't upgrade Devil's Kiss in my virgin play through, but this time I'll watch my enemies burn.

Don't want to replay it really, for the same reason Tom put up. i don't like replaying such heavy story centric stuff. Glad i took my time with it.

Some of the stuff in hind sight is so freaky. and also very sad.
Spoiler:
Remember when Dewitt is waking up on the beach? Elizibeth shows up, and he goes "Anna?"
God damn.
Spoiler:
The lettuces have been showing up on various time lines, and brought in various bookers. It's why they had that sandwich board. and were sure what was going to happen sometimes.
Although Technically, since de witt drowned at his baptism, and there fore, never became Comstock OR De wiit, Techincally, The lettuces shouldn't exist anymore either, since they never died and Rosiland lettuce never went through all that experimentation.
Although, since they got blown out of Time and space, I suppose they're immune to the effects.
Spoiler:
I hope they release more stuff on Song bird. Other than the Voxophone i found about Fink talking about how they found a way to perfectly meld man and machine, and putting it use on the tower that Comstock built, we don't know much else.

And when you find out the controlling notes are C-A-G-E?
man.
Spoiler:
Slate was wrong, Comstock WAS at peking.
Spoiler:
I think it's so brilliant that Comstock went so off the deep end, that he went form what De witt is, to becoming the man that kills his wife, arranges the murder of scientists, because they wouldn't keep the secret of his kidnapped daughter who he stole from The man he could have been.

My personal favourite call-forward is when
Spoiler:
Booker says that maybe he should get in on that Prophet business. Oh, Mr DeWitt. If only you knew.

Spoiler:
Look at DeWitt, now look at me. Now back at DeWitt, now back to me. Sadly, he's only me genetically, but with River Baptism he could be as evil as me. Look down. Back up. Where are you? You're in a floating city with the villain DeWitt could be evil like. What's in your hand? Back at me. It's George Washington. Look again. George Washington is now mowing down a mob of Irishmen with a minigun. Anything is possible when your villain is evil and not good. I have a beard.

Genius.

Which reminds me, I'd love a wind-up Patriot. It would probably wipe out my paycheck for this month but I don't really need food.

God only knows was a good song to pick for the game. I mean parts of it do reflect Booker's situation well.

Oh the songs were a great idea.
Spoiler:
I didn't notice they were anachronisms at first - I just assumed that God Only Knows was older than I thought, then I heard Cyndi Lauper playing at the beach and realised something was up.

Ending spoilers:
Spoiler:
Without Anne his entire life falls into a spiral. He loses what is most important to him. Live goes on, but it is bleak without her. He even brands her initials into his hand as a kind of penance, to try to make up for what he did. Probably part of the reason he goes for that whole drown Comstock thing, so Anne won't be taken from Booker in the first place.

Spoiler:
Thing about that Is, i think what Dewitt did By killing him self is severing the trunk of All De witts and comstocks ever. because he can't keep being De witt OIr become comstock if he dies at the cross roads.

De witt is what happens if he refused the baptism. And we know he had Anna after this. because if he didn't, Comstock would have anna too. of course Sans Reality bending powers.
Spoiler:
Now, Let's ask the REAL important question.

What were your individual reactions when you opened the elevator door in the Future lamb Dystopia, and turned around?

Spoiler:
I pulled the lever to open the gate and then I didn't want to turn around because I KNEW there was going to be something there. It still made me jump.

But ten times creepier than that was the part a bit earlier where a wheelchair with a mask on it rolls out into your path. Or the room with all the severed doll heads staring out you.
On a non-spoilery note, I just bought the first two action figures, one of which just so happens to be a Boy of Silence. The other is Elizabeth. Not the combination I would have expected.

God yes.
Spoiler:
I was kind of de senstized to all the creepiness of Bio shock by then, but then the chair showed up.
I walked around it and never turned back.
I'll probably try to get the De witt one.

Just had a thought. been thinking about the Plot for ages now. Who put that stuff in the light house? the creepy stuff?
The letucces? not like they're above doing things as long as it gets stuff done, but they wouldn't do that.
They are the guys who hired him.

Just broadening your mind. Physical action figure would just sit there. Just like my portal gun. I have bragging rights, sure, but I hardly use it, and the gun in game does a lot more.

Anyway, it seemed fairly obvious to me that the Luteces
Spoiler:
were definitely the ones who set the game in motion. They brought Booker to an alternate universe - which would explain why he'd never heard of Columbia before, since it didn't exist in his universe because he didn't found it - because they felt they should set right what they did wrong. They killed the lighthouse owner so that he wouldn't be able to stop Booker getting to Columbia, and made sure he got ahold of the Possession vigor, and gave him the shield upgrade etc.

I was thinking about the opening scene earlier and I realised that Booker being transported into this new universe is a great metaphor for a player starting a new game. We have to fill in the backstory of the world and the character we're playing, just like Booker's mind is creating memories to explain how he ended up on a boat heading to a lighthouse in a new universe.

I love it.

When we went to Rapture, And saw Rapture metro, I was like What?! WHAT?!
I didn't see the Big daddy. YOu know people are saying they can hear Song bird scream in the opening scene of bioshock 1

and yea, I figured that part out of the letucces. And it's not like they shy away from murder and what not. I mean, they did facilitate Anna's kidnapping.

Which I thought about, I mean, If they wanted to, Couldn't they have stopped themselves from Comstock getting Anna? Although it might interfere with their personal Time line.

Anyone else like how Roland wanted to stop/save Elizibeth, where as Rosiland was ok with the Universe going to crap as long she was with Roland?
