I probably wouldn't recognize anybody, so I'd walk by without saying anything. Assuming I did recognize somebody, I'd probably just walk by.
And considering where I live (the good ol' middle of nowhere)... I doubt anybody has even been around here.
If somebody should see me, it would be best if they just walked past. Things would get extremely awkward if you approached me asking if I was Mauin. Either that or you would get my glare and witness me just wandering off.
I might talk online, but I'm not like this offline. I'm not a social person. I very much prefer to be left alone.

Mmmmm, it really would be no different than with my xbox friends >_> but it would differ. Most people would see a weirdo yelling out their username.. then hide and confirm it's them, stalk, yell out the name again, and just overall mess with them >_< and once I'm close enough.. whisper into their ear either their username or real name >_> which ever would creep em out more. Re: What would you fo if you saw a UESP member in public? (P
Why is there no option for "Ignore them and carry on with my day"? Because chances are that's what I'd do. If I've seen pictures of you before, and cared enough to remember what you look like, then maybe I would take a second and make a mental connection, but odds are I wouldn't interact with you in any way.
Don't know anyone in person who is a UESP member.
Never seen anyone I thought might be a UESP member
If someone was 100% that it was me, I really wouldn't care what they'd do. If you ran up all excited and said hi, I'd politely respond and carry on with whatever I was doing. No pictures, no joint forum posts, none of that. Simply, "Nice to meet you," and done.

Re: What would you fo if you saw a UESP member in public? (P
If I saw any of you I would treat you just like I do all the people I see all the time...which is politely, say hello, probably offer to buy you lunch. (My biggest joy in life is bringing my friends to meals. Don't ask why. I like to see everyone happy.) No theatrics.
My cousin is a UESP member; I will not reveal who he is. I also know quite a few of you in varying details. I have several people who I consider friends from the forums, and I talk with many of you; I have for years now. Of course, my version of friendship varies from some people, and I've also lost good friends here. Such is life. Carry on! Or write an academic blog about it. Whatever.
I met one of you once. True story. We had the biggest pizza slices known to man, because that's what the NJ/NYC border is good for. Like Musicman said, we also used to have Skype uke lessons. Actually...those were really fun. We should do it again!
I'm a social butterfly. I frequented the biggest city in the US. And I've also learnt that I am, for whatever reason, really approachable. I used to have two updates every week on the crazy stories of random people who have had absurd conversations with me. Yeah - I've been approached by a ton of people, some benign and some who are downright absurd, and I've treated them all warmly. So honestly, as long as you don't try to kill me, I'll welcome you with open arms and make you feel right at home. And if you do try to kill me, be warned: I carry pepper spray and I throw a mean right hook.

That's right, a girl has to keep an alert eye at all times. I'm pretty approachable, unless you are a complete weirdo then you'll get attitude for sure.Avron the S'wit wrote:And if you do try to kill me, be warned: I carry pepper spray and I throw a mean right hook.

That, and back in the city I was prone to getting home very late, with all the trains, buses, and subways. I used to walk through town after a day of work and class, and wouldn't walk in my door until midnight. One mile in the dark? You'd be nuts not to have pepper spray.Dohvakiin2012 wrote:That's right, a girl has to keep an alert eye at all times. I have more than pepper spray in my purse. Its not me that'll be going down, that's for damn sure.
And MM, by creepy I mean the type that's clearly disturbed and looking for trouble. I doubt you're like that haha.

You didn't say creepy, you said weirdo, and after tonight's performances you would be hard pressed to find someone who would not label me as such.
But I digress.

Spray as in pepper spray? Yes, I would. And I have. To both. But ,if it makes anyone feel better, they did the same to me. As for the poll, I would just be casual. If I recognized them anyway.

I have an older brother, so naturally I'm use to the abuse^^ but I am a goof ball though. If say it was someone who ik personally yet never met face to face.. even in a crowd I would lift them up high without warning as if giving a hug>_> be glad that wont happen
