Bodies under the bridge

Post by Stephen Hughes »

Just spotted something odd while poking around under the bridge to the Imperial City near Weye/Wawnet Inn.

Near the water but directly under the bridge were the bodies of Cicero Verus (of Three Brothers' Trade Goods) and Thamriel. There were no weapons on the ground nearby nor on the bodies. They were simply dead without obvious reason.

A few searches of this forum has turned up nothing so I'm putting this out there in case anyone has seen something similar or has a theory. The best I can come up with so far is that there is a spot on the bridge above where the NPCs "slip through" and fall to their deaths (a bug in the game, not a weird trap, I mean).

The alternative, that there is some sort of serial killer loose, is much more entertaining, if unlikely.

Interesting, I've had a Guard fall through the bridge at the waterfront, after fast travel, he hit the water, and swam to shore. I also went through the bridge, into the water. This actually happened twice. One time I actually saw a hole, where the brige was supposed to be. It was that circular part.

The bridge failed to load and you're presented with the simplified LOD image instead - and it's not material, you fall through it.

It was funny as I was riding the horse with seriously fortified speed (as usually), barely fitting in the road turn before Weye, the inn was just a blur, then a moment of vertigo and *splash* and the horse is on the bottom of the lake :) I turned back to the shore, upon surfacing headed back to the bridge, got off the horse, took a few screenshots, jumped through the surface to be sure once again, then unglitched it by entering and exitting the Weye inn.

Interesting... :)
There once was a Prince named Mehrunes
Whose buttocks sounded sonorous tunes
‘Twas an odiferous song
People sang before long
They had enough of his full crescent moons.

I have seen where some characters (owner of PeaceMakers in Anvil) get attacked by creatures (especially Will-o-wisps) and get killed. They are dead for the rest of the game.

Sometimes chars just go on a bender and start attacking one another...though how they got out thewre is a strange one- Like my pirates in dunbarrow cove just went loopy and started a fight with one another! I just waited for them to go unconcious and then tag them with a calm spell, it's all good with a calm speeeell :P
