Breton, my favorite race. If more than one... Nord, my second favorite.

Breton, if i could make him into a Paladin type. Also wouldnt mind making an Altmer just so i could see their homeland. Must be a lot of cool buildings there.

I'm going to start with Bosmer and Argonian, most likely. One to experience the new Aldmeri Dominion on the inside (and I've played Khajiit and Altmer before, so I'll try out Bosmer), and the other because I've never played an Argonian before and I want to see Black Marsh.

Argonian for sure, considering they are my all time favorite race and unique. In my opinion, their alliance may as well be the strongest, though they are all ancient enemies that are accustomed to war. Even though the dunmer are my 2nd favorite, I have to go with the orcs. They have my respect and have proven to be fearsome warriors in their own rights. Recall they were once hated by all yet survived and grew in power. I do wish that some exclusive races would eventually be available, like the Maormer

I believe I've read that the Maormer are going to be around in-game, but only as NPC's. Playable in an expansion, perhaps?

as ever i'll wait until character creation to decide.

but this being a multiplayer game, my usual habits - like not doing any meta or research before playing, and just going with the flow - may prove a hindrance when it gets down to team-mates relying on me in a fight.

If the skills of each race are similar to that of Skyrim,then for Ebonheart its warrior Nord (dont like ugly elves so no dunmer and argonians are like mini dragon lizards so nope), for Daggerfall which i think ill join will be swordspell Redguard (bretons r weird looking and orc are goblin looking lol), for Aldmeri a assassin Khajiit (again snotty high elves and weak bosmer-not my choice lol). yes very subjective but thats just me

For me it has to be Altmer or Bosmer. I love Dunmer as well but I just could not bring myself to ally with Argonians and Nords! o.o

While I agree with Mi'aiq on this, and love how all the races are looking, my love of Dunmer and a chance to finally see true native Argonian culture? Ebonheart Pact will probably be the home of most of my characters.

Khajiit (main) and Argonian (side), if we're allowed to make multiple characters. They, along with Dunmer, have been my favorite TES races.

Before choosing which race I'll play, I will have to see the race skill lines. There is one skill line unique to each race, so those will affect my decision. Without any of that, I would probably choose Khajiit, or Bosmer.

The more I find out about Dragon Knights the more I wanna play one as a Dunmer, especially in Ordinator Armor and wielding Katanas.

The Dunmer have always been fan favorites; it's why I avoided them. I figured they would attract the most people and didn't want to be stuck in a sea of mostly everyone and their mother.

Personally, I do like the Dunmer and would have liked to keep a character with my UESP username, but I'd rather explore unknown or less familiar parts of Tamriel. Also, I don't need a million people going "Hahaha, like Arvel the Swift right?!" Silly Bethesda, jackin' my username...mumble...

Yeah, I originally said Dunmer/Nord but now I'm thinking either Altmer or Breton. Of course this poll isn't necessarily representative of the actual breakdown once the game starts, but looking around at a number of different sites, the Pact does seem to be pretty far ahead. I tend to prefer not going for the most populated side.

Well part of that stems from skyrim, because so many people wanna be nords>_>
I however want to be an argonian.. sadly one of the least favorites overall. I can see myself playing an orc, dunmer, or breton.. but the marsh is where my home is

if I am free to offer a hand to any other alliance, then I will. I hold no loyalty to those under the same banner, but those that have earned my respect and that I can call brother/sister

Seems like Nords dont get love as much as Bretons or Dunmer. I guess because of Skyrim being still new and fresh in minds people do not wanna re visit same place again, and Dunmer being most popular.
For me I always choose at least 3 main characters who are specialized in each combat only,magic only,stealth only. So in order to be in all 3 factions I'd have warrior Nord, mage Redguard and stealthy Khajit (if attributes and skills are same as in Skyrim).
I love Nords cuz I am from Europe (I live in US tho) winters are cold and I am surrounded by mountains so I feel right at home. Plus who doesn't like dragons lol. Redguards seem very exotic and definitely want to visit new desert environment. I'm not a big fan of high elves(snotty) or other raves to me look somehow deformed so I'd choose Khajit cuz they r simply mysterious bobcat looking race and cool as hell (especially the voice lol).
