Re: Dreams
So basically you had an Elder Scroll-related dream. Where you, Mauin, were actually there. That's badass.
Whenever I have dreams like that I can feel my hand on a controller, controlling my character's actions, not actually in Tamriel...

Re: Dreams
Almost all of my Elder Scrolls related dreams have been like that. My brain's pretty much telling me I need a life...
But I will admit dreams like that are always the most entertaining. It's no fun playing a game on a PC in my sleep... Besides the fact that I wake up seriously confused when that happens. I never seem to be able to remember if it was a dream or not, and I spend the entire day wondering whether or not I was playing games in the middle of the night.
I had another one of those totally messed up dreams last night.
Usually when I'm dreaming, I have control over my own actions as if I was awake, but I can't usually control how the dream turns out. Apparently this one was different in the sense that I had full control. That was some serious fun.
I can't remember exactly what was going on in the dream, but I do remember it starting out with a wicked car chase. I was being chased by the police across some farm fields. They were catching up to me, and so I thought , "Why don't I just get a rocket car? There's no way they'll catch up to me then."
Next thing I know I'm pretty much flying through the fields... In a rocket car. That was insanely fast. I was screaming through a city (literally; I was screaming at the pure speed... And I actually can't scream. If I try, no sound comes out) until I realized that the cops weren't following me anymore.
The next thing I find is that I'm walking through a large office building, and apparently I'm being stalked by some people. Servants, I think... Of (I cannot believe this) Lord Voldemort. Specifically, Lord Voldemort crossed with Alduin. Minor WTF moment right there. Those stalkers were annoying me, so I conjured myself a home. Seriously. I just thought of a nice little home with a fish tank and a Dragon guardian (don't ask) and I was teleported there. The first thing I did there was set up the fish tank (more like snap my fingers in a very Q-like way to make the fish tank set itself up), then conjured cycled water, fish, and plants.
Apparently I had some sort of vision at this point which I immediately recognized as being a part of Kolbjorn Barrow (hooray Solstheim reference). There was some sort of friend or family of mine in there, and I had to let them know it was a trap. I tried to phone them at first, but apparently it was the wrong number and I would up talking to one of those creepy stalkers that was following me around. Got some information from them, then immediately went back to trying to phone the person in the Barrow.
I soon (as in: in a matter of seconds) realized that they didn't have a phone, so I found myself thinking "It's a dream, you idiot. Who has phones in dreams? Just send the person a telepathic message and they'll get it." That's what I did. And it worked. Sent the person in the Barrow a telepathic message that it was a trap, and they tried to leave... Only to be captured by Voldemort-Alduin.
Alright then?
This dream then shifted to me trying to rescue my buddies from Voldemort-Alduin. I had to travel to his realm (apparently a place that's entirely frozen) and pass a series of puzzles... To which I said, "This is my dream! I'm going to do whatever I want!" and just melted my way through the ice to wherever I had to go. Got there, rescued my friends, and then noticed this huge platform of treasure just out of reach.
I considered how to get there for a few moments, but I just had to interrupt myself with another thought, "Seriously? How many times do I have to remind you that this is a dream? Just float over there and it'll be all yours!" So I did, and I claimed Voldemort-Alduin's treasure for myself. He wasn't very happy about it, but it was my dream, so I made it that I owned the treasure. I sold it, and I became rich.
Spent the rest of the dream hanging around in my home with my buddies, chatting, playing with my dream fish, and going for rides on my guardian Dragon (creatively named Odahviing even though he looked more like a Blood Dragon).
Yeah. Apparently migraine + lots of cold medication + lingering fever = one messed up dream.
Uh... Next time that happens, I'll just let the dream take its own course. As fun as it was, that was really... Off.

Re: Dreams
I've had an ES dream before.. I was a Bosmer running from an Orc. But I had so much agility that I could easily hop over 10 foot fences.
But no, I usually have nightmares. Every night. All night. Which is why I'm the UESP Pelagius. Not really. But a dream.. HA... Irony. I wonder if it tastes like iron. On that notion what does iron taste like.. Anything like copper perhaps.... But then I know blood tastes like copper... But blood has iron in it..... Quite a conundrum...

Re: Dreams
I had a dream that seemed like it lasted forever last night. ._.
I've been reading Homestuck a bit too much recently (I've been going back and re-reading bits and pieces while waiting for updates) and I swear I woke up on Derse in my dream. Purple stuff everywhere. I don't really remember much, but what I do remember was pretty neat. I think it was lucid, but I don't remember enough to be sure.

Re: Dreams
I actually had a Skyrim dream last night.
After inserting certain mods, the corner of my screen will tell me how the character is doing (hunger, sleep, thirst, etc). In this dream, I was playing my Wood elf and she was roaming around the forests of Skyrim somewhere. She had been traveling for days and was tired. Then at the corner of the screen it says: "You vaguely remember what sex feels like".
Creative dream, I think!

Re: Dreams
That just made me chuckle.
I went to bed last night with a headache. For some reason, I wound up dreaming about having a headache.
Oh, boy. I think I'd rather have crazy Elder Scrolls dreams that make almost no sense... At least they're more interesting!

Re: Dreams
One of my recurring dreams is having to drive around here in southern California. But it's not actual SoCal, it's Dreamland SoCal. Everything is compressed into the scale of an amusement park.
The city streets look like a cross between the Vegas strip and Disneyland's Main Street. And the freeways swoop and dive like a roller-coaster track. You'd think going along in a car like this would be fun, but I keep thinking "This is nuts! We're gonna die!" And I'm always trying to get somewhere, it's never about idling around for play.

Baurus: Our job is to get the Emperor out of situations like this. Though I'll admit, things aren't going exactly to plan.
Casandra: At the moment, the deadliest weapon at my disposal is a goblin's head on a stick. I'd be worried if this was the plan.

Re: Dreams
So, with senior trip coming up, I've been excited to put it mildly and, I was able to pull off a lucid dream. An odd lucid dream but a lucid dream nonetheless. It started with me on a plane, with one of best and most trustworthy friends. And we on a plane full of other kids from my school to Disney world for senior trip and oddly enough, when I looked down at my arms and feet, I noticed I was female which scared the hell out of me but I had to roll with it so I kept going. Anyway, we followed through with all our check in and attendance stuff and my friend comes up to me and we go to Magic Kingdom, which is odd too because I like Universal Studios much better, anyway, things really got strange when my friend started acting like a big brother on a ride. Which again is weird because I'm the older sibling in real life, anyhow, he was apparently my genetic older brother in that particular in that dream. Though I guess being moderately hot in female form helped my not freak out too.

Re: Dreams
Just read Hypnos by Lovecraft. His dream-related stories are truly awesome, very eerie, mysterious and foreboding. Makes me want to have some exciting dreams again. Reminds me of, not so long ago I had a dream within a dream. It was all pretty strange, particularly the second dream where things were less natural. And as I fell on the floor because it seemed the room was turning around me, I ''woke up'' and I don't remember exactly how it was but I ''think'' I was in my bed, ''nailed'' to it as if I couldn't truly wake up. It was terrifying and I was afraid I was caught in some sort of limbo. I was sweating and all and I suddenly could open my eyes and thus wake up for real, and I felt so weird. As if my dream sucked a lot of energy and my mind wasn't fully restored from the experience.
by the way, I saw Inception only once and didn't really like it, so it surely wasn't because I got all excited about the movie months after seeing it.

I had a dream about a tornado the other day. It's a bit funny because my mom always has had tornado dreams; I remember her talking about them even when I was little. So she was joking about how it's starting for me too. I hope not. xP

Re: Dreams
Last night I didn't dream at all, which was bizarre for me - usually I know I've dreamed even if I don't remember what it was. Heck, I don't even remember falling asleep - I was awake playing on my ipod last I remember. I just opened my eyes in the morning, instantly alert, and felt vaguely cheated becuase I didn't feel like I'd been asleep. (I wasn't tired or anything as if I'd been up all night, I just felt fully awake as though it was still the night before.)

^^ Boring eh? I like waking up in the morning and remembering some messed up dream I just had. Last night I had an apocalypse dream...since I watched a movie about an Argentinian flu outbreak before going to bed.
