OBMM question

Post by Speed of Darkness »

For the mods installed into OBMM, how do you know if they are actually working? Does each one have to have a new game started?

Some of them are showing up on the left side of OBMM and some aren't. Also a few of them are not showing up in the game (darnified is one). I have all blue squares on OBMM so I am not sure if I am missing a step. I did the utilites archive validation in the read-me for Qarls, but still am not seeing a huge difference so I am not sure if I even did that one right  .

I have OOO, Natural environments, anywhere sit., packs, bedrolls, a body mod (can't remember which one, its on my desktop), unofficial patch (installed first), Qarls 3, and Darnified UI

I'm not an expert, but I can answer a few of these questions. Each mod should not require a new game unless it specifically says so in its description, which is pretty rare.

The left side of OBMM shows .esp files. Not every mod has those - e.g. texture packs like QTP3 just change textures and such, so not every mod will show up there. You should see a pretty big difference in-game after installing that one, though (both in terms of textures and FPS...)

No idea why some are working (at least, that's what you seemed to imply) and some aren't, though. :S Might try deactivating and reactivating some of the non-functional ones to see if that helps.
