^I was about quote two earlier posts, then I realized how old the thread was. :p
Anyway as someone who is arachnophobic is real life, I get jumpscared every time a frostbite spider manages sneak up close to me. Heck even coming around a corner and stepping into the corpse of a dead one scares me.
Thank goodness for detect life and detect dead spells.
But after I recently began force leveling my characters in order to experience high level combat, I'll admit that hearing the ragdoll version of Fus-Ro-Dah from a draugr deathlord really concerns me - Even with the atronach perk.
Curent Installed mods/DLC;
Unofficial Skyrim Patch / ENB series with Skyrim Visual Experience 1.2 preset / Dawnguard & Dragonbord disabled
Doing the Wabbajack quest, I accidentally used Wabbajack on the wrong Palagius, he disappeared and the other Palagius just walked away, never to return. I could not escape.
Can only remember one scary moment. Well, not really scary. More like shocking. Dragonborn DLC, Fort Frostmoth. My very first encounter with those Jumping Flame Spiders. I hadn't seen their name yet and obviously hadn't encountered them before. Really freaked me out when one of them jumped at me all of a sudden.
I was exploring some burial area to the north of Dawnstar during the night, and I was looking at some ruins on the wall. I'm almost done with my examination, when I hear a loud FUS and my heart started beating terribly fast. I totally leaped out my chair, that was so scary.
I was playing really late into the night, well morning, once and I was getting to the point where I was fighting sleep hard but wanted to finish what I was doing. That happened to be collecting samples for a certain Daedric Prince. My search for these samples led me into a falmer cave / Dwarven ruin. I had cleared the cave and decided to go back out the way I'd come in (for God knows what reason). Thinking there'd be nothing ahead of me, I let Candlelight fade (using RLO so it's dark) and started sprinting for the entrance. I was most of the way back when a falmer dropped from a pipe right in front of me and began to attack.
Between my sleep deprivation and the glow of its eyes, I jumped.
Chillwind Depths. It was my first encounter with the Falmer, and I was way below the minimum level for the cave. Wearing headphones in darkest December, it was worse than The Descent.
My first encounter with dwemer master it was so quiet inside dwemer ruins when suddenly a statue moved and I jumped I was like what the fff not scary more like sudden un anticipated surprise
Mine would be either the first time I bumped into the Frostbite Spider's nest in Helgen's cave, or seeing the giant one in Bleak Falls Barrow for the first time. I'm aracnophobic. Haha...
I've found myself nearly jumping out of my skin on over 20 different occasions... Usually collecting ingredients at night and a saber cat is stalking me and suddenly springs up and bites me... Never get use to that...

Those sabre cats make me jump every time. I'm just casually walking down the road, then I hear a growl and see it jump at my back.
Sabre cats, wolves, skeevers, basically anything that can sneak up behind you and make you jump! Thank Talos that dragons can't sneak up on us. Right? RIGHT!?
Skyrim lacks any places that makes me feel a bit scared, unless you count the THIS WAS A MISTAKE AND I'VE JUST SAVED, I'M A MASSIVE FOOL moments in some ruins. I do hope in TES6 we will get some pitch black ruins infested with the undead as that would both be immerisve and a bit scary to explore. Or even better, the next DLC includes a fair amount of pitch black draugr infested ruins. Or falmer infested ruins, or ice wolves, or trolls or..... sorry, i almost got carried away there.
RANDOM SILLY STATEMENT AS SIGNATURE! Praise Sheogorath!
The scariest thing in Skyrim for me is when I walk into a large room and a Frost bite spider creeps down on me from above. And I can see a shadow forming on the ground in front of me. I don't care how high my level is, that my friends, is creepy.
Second spot probably goes to wisps circling around me calling me towards my impending doom (Or their mother's )
Scariest for me was probably my first trip to Blackreach. I had zero idea about the place and even less of an idea where I was headed during that quest. It really freaked me out a bit and it took several trips back before I became comfortable with the place.
Now I laugh at myself about it and love it. But the intense darkness just added to the freak factor.
Going through Alftand on my way to Blackreach for the first time. I got down to where the dead Orc lady was lying without fighting anything but Dwemer robots. I'd read the dead elf's journal, however, so I knew something was down here. I go down to the platform and then... I saw the arrow in her chest, right? Being a compulsive looter, I went over to take it and saw the name: Falmer Arrow. I said to myself "Wait, aren't they supposed to be extinct?"
Two minutes later, I met the Falmer for the first time. Great introduction.
First time going through Bleak Falls Barrow, when the Draugr come back to life. ARGH!
Pretty much any time when a Draugr bursts out of a tomb unexpectedly. The Dragon Priest at Shearpoint - ARGH! I screamed so loud that my husband clutched his ears and complained.
I spent several months being terrified out of my wits by Draugr until my friend noticed something important.
Spoiler:
Only the Draugr with clothes on come back to life. Apparently it would be undignified to guard tombs when naked. So if you sneak and look out for the ones who are dressed, you can usually hit them with an arrow before they've even noticed you.
I think what scared me the most was my first time doing Laid to Rest. I broke into Alva's house during the day, and sneaked down to the cellar room. Maybe it was the lighting and/or the positioning of the coffin. Maybe there's something innately freaky about a lying figure suddenly sitting up. In any case, it didn't occur to me that she'd be there, and it was creepy. I do love that there's no music in there, though, very effective.
Although it's lame in retrospect, I remember climbing the 7,000 Steps for the first time ever as a low-level newb with crap weapons, armour and skills. That freakin' Frost Troll had me pooping razor blades.

And the fact they grab bandits and mind control them by tapping their spinal cords....

Yeah, Ice Wraiths are a challenge for low-level characters. But I think the absolute worst enemies for the beginner must be Wisp Mothers. I must be doing something wrong, because they always put me through the wringer, even at more advanced levels.
