Re: Redguard Rumors
Don't worry, the vid was pulled down as the "proof" was a screenshot that was most likely a fake.

Re: Redguard Rumors
There was an arena that was in Windhelm that was cut. Idk if they would add that, maybe, but if it was cut then I doubt it. It would be easy to add though.

Re: Redguard Rumors
That guy is going off of the "screenshot" that was just released. Other than that it's all been mentioned on this thread.

Re: Redguard Rumors
So this "confirmed dlc" isn't actually confirmed and it's more speculation. Or has bethesda actually confirmed this?
Edit: Nevermind just heard him say "this is all speculation" at the end of the video.

Speculation is speculation, don't know why the DLC is considered "confirmed".

It's not confirmed. It has never been said to be.

Re: Redguard Rumors
I think he's referring to the title of the video being "Redguard-Next Skyrim DLC confirmed"

The video has been taken down because the screenshot is an obvious fake.

The video hasn't been taken down. It is still on YouTube. Unless you are talking about another video?ZackyZombify wrote:The video has been taken down because the screenshot is an obvious fake.

Re: Redguard Rumors
Yeah, definitely looks like it was fake. Still curious as to why Beth hasn't had any new trademarks registered.. which is the biggest (and maybe only thing) pointing to Redguard right now.

If there's another DLC coming out.
They've put out roughly the equivilent to what they put out for oblivion

And they would be silly to support their most popular game (by far) the same as Oblivion. Plus everything points to more on the way.

Fair enough, and I hear what you're saying.GodsBePraised wrote:soda popinski wrote:If there's another DLC coming out.

But was not Oblivion by far their most popular game at the same point in development as this current game is?
I hope you're right, and I think I agree that the gameplay changes in the latest patch suggest something new, but really, we are still relying on a copyright claim.
Until someone on the beth forums finds a bunch of code in a patch with new items/creatures/locations/etc, I'm in the holding out hope phase

Re: Redguard Rumors
That was back when DLC wasn't nearly as robust a practice, though. Horse armor shenanigans, for example.soda popinski wrote:But was not Oblivion by far their most popular game at the same point in development as this current game is?
I recall developer statements that they were planning on more DLC than Oblivion got, and more detailed at that.

Re: Redguard Rumors
I'd love to see 6 or 7 more dlcs. No matter how small. Like "new silver weapons" would be a huge hit.

Re: Redguard Rumors
For 360 and PS3 maybe, but a whole chunk of PC players would not be happy because that is available for free, and sometimes at better quality, from modders.

Re: Redguard Rumors
But that's not exactly fair to console players. PC players have all the choices in the world, it's not right to rule something out just cause there's a mod. If anything a mod can cause enough uproar for an official dlc.

Re: Redguard Rumors
Just look at Hearthfire. I'm fairly confident that it was created because a mod was very popular.

It's entirely fair. If you've chosen to play the game on console, you are limiting yourself as to what options are available, same as playing on PC can limit you. Console players don't get mods, but PC and Ps3 players had to wait longer for DLC, and PC players don't have Kinect support. Bethesda is not required to supply console players with DLC just because there's a decent mod that contains that material.

Re: Redguard Rumors
Never did I say, "they should do this". I used silver weapons as an example. If you or another user misunderstood then forgive me. I thought I made it pretty clear that it was an example. And saying that no dlc for consoles because there's mods for PC is like saying no dlc for PC because they can just make the same thing by themselves. Just because there's mods for it doesn't exclude it from being made into a dlc. i.e. Hearthfire, vampire changes/skill trees.

Re: Redguard Rumors
I just meant that Bethesda may not make a DLC that is similar to a mod because many PC players will not buy it, reducing their profits. Therefore most of their DLCs need to be original ideas never seen before, Hearthfire being the exception.
