Re: Stormcloaks (Club/Faction)
Welcome TDZippity!
Now, for the Survey:
How Many TES games have you played?
Started with Morrowind, then Oblivion, then Skyrim.
In previous TES games (if any), how did you feel about the Empire? What made you a Stormcloak in Skyrim?
In Morrowind, I was indifferent. I'd never knew a game could be like this, so I allowed myself to get lost in it, and try everything.
In Oblivion, the emperor himself saw greatness in me, so, even though he had died, I was loyal to him, his line, and his empire.
In Skyrim, first impressions are bad, and you quickly see that the empire is but a shell of it's former glory.
I became a supporter of the Stormcloaks because it felt right. I wanted to fight for freedom.

Re: Stormcloaks (Club/Faction)
I just feel like commenting on the military genius of Ulfric and the Stormcloaks.
Whiterun: He focuses on this city from the start for a good reason. Its central position is key to launching attacks on other Imperial Holds, and it forces all imperial trade and reinforcements from Cyrodiil to travel through the Reach (not the ideal route).
Falkreath: After taking Whiterun, the Stormcloaks immediately chase after Falkreath. While Whiterun had forced all Imperial supplies to travel through the Reach, Taking Falkreath cuts Tullius off from all support from Cyrodiil, Leaving Highrock as the only accessable province. And even if Riften has been give to the Empire, they have been cut off completly from the rest of the Imperial forces.
The Reach: After Falkreath, he goes even further to ruin the Imperial economy, by taking the Reach, 'source of half of skyrim's silver' to quote Tullius. Although doing so passes the problem of the Forsworn onto him, it still must be an incredibly blow to Tullius' treasury (and the size of his forces, it was a major hold).
Morthal: Well, there's not much there, but it just gives him more ground, and secures his Flank on the march to Solitude.
Then he takes Solitude

Re: Stormcloaks (Club/Faction)
Sorry for not posting in awhile had a lot of business to take care of, so here's my two cents on the survey.
How many TES games have you played?
-Only two Oblivion, and Skyrim
In previous TES games (if any), how did you feel about the Empire? What made you a Stormcloak in Skyrim?
-In Oblivion, they seemed nice enough although, if your disposition was low they were incredibly racist. Also that was when the Septim Dynasty was in power so they surrendered a lot less.
-As I've said beforethey nearly cut my head off, surrendered to Aldmeri Dominion, don't wear pants. They are no longer The Empire I helped in the Oblivion Crisis. Plus my favorite color is blue.

How many TES games have you played?
-Played every single one except for the travels series.. Even did Battlespire and Redguard.
In previous TES games (if any), how did you feel about the Empire? What made you a Stormcloak in Skyrim?
-I was always sort of anti-establishment in any RPG, and I always tend to work against 'the maaaaaaan'. That was one of my favorite parts about the Thieves Guild of Oblivion. In Arena and Daggerfall it made sense to ally with the Empire because that's just kind of your job. But I always liked the Empire, even as I opposed him. Whenever Skyrim hit, I really didn't like the Empire at all. Must be the lack of Septim. Plus, they tried to kill me! Stormcloak time.

Hello my fellow Stormcloaks!I have been held against my will for quite some time now (read RL "issues") but with a little inspiration from our leader Ulfric I managed to get through the "ordeal" and can now rejoin your ranks.
How's everyone doing? The Imperials don't need a minute's rest so let's try to wrestle this thread from the Void's cold grasp.

I was thinking of a 'post your character' idea a while ago. But that may have been overdone in other threads.
I've also been playing a game called 'Balance of Power' on Eregime. For those who don't know (pretty much everyone, its not a big game), the idea is to take control of a certain nation, and act on its behalf on an international scale. Each turn, you are given a credit rating (which depends on your nation's economy, tax rates, and how many you spent last turn). With these credits, you have the option of carrying out certain actions (such as go to war, strengthen or repair economy, etc) An complete list of actions is given here: http://z13.invisionfree.com/eRegime/ind ... topic=1112
While this wouldn't fit on this thread (more roleplays), I still think it would be fun to apply the same principles to the TES Universe. Everyone controls on nation, and acts on its behalf. We could even start with a Stormcloak victory, and play the aftermath.
Everyone with me say Aye.
EDIT: I just put the idea for a game forward on eRegime. If you want to support it, then make an account there, and follow it: http://z13.invisionfree.com/eRegime/ind ... ry23403776

I think the main reason for inactivity is not due to people forgetting to visit the page, but because no one has anything to say.Hrolf Alfblod wrote:Good to see that this thread is being kept alive.

Yeah TBH I don't come to the general section very often, only when I remember to check this thread.
I'm on my way to Windhelm to join up with the Stormcloaks, Ulfric has the right of it!

I waited until I bought Dragonborn so I could literally shout Ulfric to pieces. Dragonborn Force at it's finest. He turned to ash.

Re: Stormcloaks (Club/Faction)
Hi and welcome to you both!
Thanks for taking the time to do the survey ZackyZombify
reading through all of these it seems Ralof is one of the most popular Stormcloaks! I'll add you to the font page, you can have whatever rank you desire as for now I'll just add you where the ranks are lacking in numbers. Feel free to message me if you want a different one.
Nice grab though on the forum name of Ulfric Stormcloak, I hadn't actually anticipated anyone joining and using that as their user name xD. I am assuming you wanted to join the Stormcloak fan club I think it will be appropriate to list you on the opening page as High-King I don't think anyone else in this thread will have an issue with that.
Anyway good to see some new faces around here this thread has been a little dry lately, I myself have been playing Morrowind as my PC seems to overheat when I play Skyrim! Both of you feel free to share your tales of heroism, any other Stormcloak related content or even just generally share your hate for the Empire.

Is there anybody, a PC user preferably, who's capable of running skyrim at highest quality? Cause i know little bit of After Effects and stuff, and with good footage i believe we can forge something decent.

Re: Stormcloaks (Club/Faction)
I can run it close to the highest settings, but recording video is a different beast altogether. As you probably know when its recording the frame-rate drops and it may become slightly laggy in certain areas. The other issue is if recording in a high quality the actual video file size becomes massive making it hard to share, but more importantly to write it properly to the disc would really require a SSD rather than a standard Hard-drive.
Last time I checked I was able to record at 1/2 video size to my actual screen size and it looked to be running ok, I have since then changed a few mods around and the frame-rate may have decreased. I don't know if I would still be able to record or if I'll have to change everything around.
There are a few other things we could look at doing as well though. Something everyone could join in would be taking a screenshot of there character rather than a video, and we could turn it into a sort of collage type thing. Also people could add their name/username or character name in the bottom corner, would be great to see all the different Stormcloaks and could be a bit of fun
new members would be able to be added as they join!
Another idea for a thread project would be to make a small Stormcloak themed mod, although this would really only be for the PC users however users from other platforms could still give input/ideas and the like and screens could be posted of the finished product. It would be pretty easy to make a Stormcloak themed player home for example, screens could be posted and all users on other platforms could give Ideas to what they think would be good additions to the home. Anyone with access to the CK would be able to help out or anyone that can use photo-shop would be able to do some texture work
Anyway thats two suggestions for anyone interested, just post ideas or support if you want to go ahead with any of it.
