Today's Forecast of Your Choosing

Post by Taters »

If you had control of the weather for one day, from sunrise to sunrise, what would your ideal weather be? Would it remain constant throughout the day, or would it change?

For me, the sun would(sort of) rise on slate-gray overcast skies, with heavy fog and temperatures in the mid 50's(12-15 celsius). I might have a bit of a change around noon, maybe bringing the temperatures up to the low to mid 60's(15.5-18 celsius), and letting the sun come out. Not too bright, still plenty of clouds in the sky. Evening, however, would be perfectly clear to allow unobstructed view of the sunset, bringing the temperatures at night to to around 50(10c).

Some might say my ideal weather is a bit strange, but I prefer cool temperatures, have light-sensitive eyes, and LOVE fog.

What about you?

Spring:

No wind, the sky overcast with white clouds but no chance for rain. The sun should be bright in the morning, but get covered with clouds at around midday. Temperatures at about 15-20 Celsius (59-68 F).

Summer:

Clear sky, with maybe a few clouds. A light breeze to keep me from sweating if it gets too hot. Temperatures at about 20-25 C (68-77 F). The breeze should come up if temperatures go over 25 C.

Autumn:

Grey sky, and a bit of periodic rain. Mild wind. Temperatures at 10-16 C (50-60 F)

Winter:

Snow overnight. Clear or grey sky during the day. No wind. Temperatures at -8 to -2 C (17-28 F).

Rain. Heavy during the day, but getting sunnier near evening, but still staying cloudy. Good wind. Not a breeze, but not like, break your umbrella either, during the day, but again, calming down by night.
Tempreture around 20-25 Degrees celcious during the day, but colder to about 15 degrees by night.

Red sunrise in the morning half blocked by clouds. cloudy afternoon, but not so cloudy you cant see the blue skies. cold night, so that when i go to bed i start off cold and then get much warmer.

For me it'd be a Foggy morning, seriously foggy too, followed by steady rain no wind. At duck and into night I'd have the mother of all thunderstorm - put all others to shame - no rain or wind either, just a spectacular light show. Alternatively - a crystal clear night with no wind.

Depends.

Like Mars said for Summer, clear sky with a slight breeze. Temperature would be around 70 F (21C)

If it were spring, slightly gray sky that's cloudy, with a gentle rain. Not too hot, but not too cold either.

For Winter, slightly warm with no snow. For Autumn no wind, but slightly breezy.

It depends on where I would be.

At home, I'd like a nice clear sky, lots of sun, but a nice breeze to keep things cool.

At a nudist beach, plenty of sun, and no chilliness whatsoever, thank you.

Driving anywhere, lots of sun, no wind, a few white clouds.

I like the sun, but hate humidity. So dry heat is fine with me. Wet heat, not so much.

My favorite weather is spring or autumn: nice enough for a skirt and tights, boots, a light sweater you can remove in the afternoon. Party cloudy but with sunshine and bright blue skies...now that's what I'd like. If I could live somewhere like that all year round I might be happy. (In reality I love the seasons and their changes, so I am restricted to places with all four.)

My ideal weather is one of two things, depending on where i am. If I am at the beach, I want it to be 80 degrees and the water to be warm. There should be a slight breeze but not too much, just enough to keep the air moving.

Any other time, I want high 60's to low 70's, slight breeze again and BRIGHT sunshine with fat puffy clouds rolling through the skies. Enough wind to hear the leaves rustle overhead but not pick up dust and throw it in my face.

But I like all the seasons, I just hate how they make my nose bleed when the weather changes.

An extended period of dark, rumbling clouds, with brisk, whistling winds and electric undercurrents flowing through the air. Antsy animals, swaying trees, scurrying people, bizarre Emergency Alert System bleep-bloops interrupting normalcy. Then, the danger tapers off suddenly and an eerie, clear calm remains through dusk till nightfall.

All the titillating urgency of an approaching calamity, followed by the soothing (yet somehow unsatisfying) relief of a crisis averted.

75 degrees, bright sunshine, bright blue sky, and a slight breeze. And the best time for this to be would be about late September.

Some nice rain, some clouds, brisk outside. I'd love it if it happened right now.

Does apocalypse via meteor shower count as a weather forecast? :D

In all seriousness, I'd make it cold as shiz and a big blizzard (IE barely able to see infront of you)

Anchorage is nice and sunny today, with the snow having melted off most of the roads. Its warm enough to where most people aren't wearing coats (40F or so). Meanwhile, our Bear Valley is completely covered in grey clouds. Its been storming here for days...so much that our water went out yesterday. It would be nice to have it sunny like the area below us. Sigh.
