Life lessons you've learned from playing Skyrim
Let me say first that i am sure we all on this great forum have had excellent upbringings by our parents/guardians! :0
Yet, it becomes apparent that these digital stories may have more impact on users than movies have on viewers... it just led me to wonder...
What life lesson have you gleaned from playing ES V: Skyrim?
I've seen many a Die Hard movie and have been left wanting in the rest of my normal life regarding wisdom, choices, and how the "real world" works, though.
Bethy is here to fill the proverbial "void" my gaming brethren:
I've learned that a real "hero" may not have as clean a history/motive as I'd like, yet, that person may become a hero nonetheless.... (Ulfric Stormcloak, his history and detractors).
Your thoughts....

Re: Life lessons you've learned from playing Skyrim
The quickest way to figure out what something does is to either attack someone with it or eat it
Children are made of kevlar and their sole purpose is taunting you
Not all hill midgets are evil, some just want you do some shopping for them
All animals are just balloons covered in hair, some with random bones or meat stuffed in
If a crazy or demonic person asks you for help, do so; if someone who seems normal asks you for help, kill them
Just because someone tries to chop off your head, doesn't mean you can't be friends
On a serious note: (less of a lesson learned and more like a point noticed) Those that don't understand history are doomed to repeat it, case in point: the main quest

Always be sure to have the proper knee protection when working either on home improvement projects or in archery competitions.
Baurus: Our job is to get the Emperor out of situations like this. Though I'll admit, things aren't going exactly to plan.
Casandra: At the moment, the deadliest weapon at my disposal is a goblin's head on a stick. I'd be worried if this was the plan.

This isn't serious is it?
I learned to find out the whole story before making my move, not only is it a habit in stealth, it's a habit in quests that pays off.

If you wear a certain amulet, you can marry anyone! Yes, including that very sexy woman who doesn't have any interest in but have done a favour for in the past.
Shouting FUS RO DAH at random strangers will get you arrested and telling the police to let you go because you are the Thane and are the Dovahkiin doesn't work.
You can become anything if you exploit the real world leveling system.

It's okay to say someone looks diseased or call them a different race if you're just trying to sell them potions
You can spend a lot of in the cloud district, but you never truly get there 'often'
Being covered in vampire blood and demonic armor isn't enough to look 'tough'
Having lite-brite for eyes doesn't count as suspicious
Leather straps are a necessity for open heart surgery
Cats are outdoor animals only, unless the speak dragon or carry out assassinations
Drugs have no ill effects and you're more likely to hurt yourself by eating fish
Eating demonic or human hearts is better for you than eating grapes

Chopping hundreds of wood blocks makes you rich
Arrows to the face don't immediately kill
Your head is the only bodily protrusion that can be chopped off
Walking naked in a blizzard doesn't give you frostbite
Getting hit with a warhammer doesn't shatter any bones

1. People will attack you for no reason while out in the wilderness.
2. Your back will forever be kinked from the straw beds.
3. Your spouse will never leave you...even if you are a murderer, thief, vampire, werewolf, wanderer, etc.
4. You can start forest fires with a simple flame spell.
5. Sweetrolls are addictive.

You still smell like a wet dog, though.
There are some problems that you can only fix by setting somebody's head on fire.

All it means to be a destined hero is to do all the little things none of the lazy people want to do, they will forgive you after a murder spree. Hero = rationalized murderer
