Just a reminder to all those 'kickin' it' on Xbox Live - who haven't checked their Inside Xbox updates - that the free Bungie theme and gamerpics will be available tomorrow (7th July), for one day only, I believe. So get 'em while they're hot.

Nope, haven't seen the ViDoc yet - so what the heck's Cold Storage? An MP map?

Sub; huh, so that's reason no.17 of 'why I didn't buy the Legendary Edition'?

I generally buy special/limited editions as they're more common now (Mass Effect and BioShock's were just fantastic - you got a decent Big Daddy figure with the latter), and was going to get the Legendary. But a few conversations with the Gamestation staff, and a quick look at the Master Chief helm convinced me to save my money.

Guy; well, as they're free it doesn't matter which colour you roll with (silver or gold).

It's kinda the star attraction of bungie day. Yeah, a map, everyone thought it was gonna be a part of the Mythic map pack but it's not. It's free from tomorrow onwards, not just for tomorrow.

Well, as my [temporary-before-I-go-back-to-Mass Effect] gamerpic says/shows; a very merry Bungie day to all.

Damn, there's a load of stuff I need off XLive; I didn't even know the Heroic pack was free, so I got that at last. But then again - I know I'm being heretical here - I prefer COD4 online to Halo (online).

Quiglesigles; well, the Heroic pack took its time, so don't hold your breath for the Legendary freebie anytime soon.

And y'know what...?

...I still haven't cleared Halo 3 on Legendary, so I haven't really finished the fight. Methinks this day is as good as any other to start on that task...

Me neither.

I really should some day... but what with Mass Effect, Oblivion and Halo online there's plenty more I could be doing.

Yep, Mass Effect has kept me away from every other game, including the seemingly untouchable GTA:Snore--- sorry, I meant, GTAIV. But before the clock ticks over to the 8th, I'll start up the first Halo level on Legendary - as I've now officially talked myself into believing that unless you've got that Legendary badge on your profile, you really haven't Finished the Fight... oh man, am I in for some hurt.

Well, I've at least done the first 3 levels.

Not that it means anything... I just can't beat certain levels. The Flood and Cortana.

Whisperer; for Legendary, co-op is your friend. Well, unless your actual friend actually sucks at Halo.. then you're in trouble.

But after COD4's Mile High Club on Veteran, I reckon I could pretty much beat any difficulty level on any FPS. That's right; I'm chock full of hubris, and I do not expect a comeuppance anytime soon... no siree...

The only way I can do legendary is on co-op. I just barely beat it on heroic by my self. My friend comes over sometimes and he's ok but it's way easier than doing it by myself

Technically, I beat legendary by lone self. But i cheated a bit, I set up another controller, and had him sit back while i went up and owned some covenant.

You should've had legendary beaten ages ago (on your own no less

). It's not as hard as the first two Halo legendary campaigns, but in my opinion it IS a bit more difficult than CoD4's veteran mode.

Co-op... lol, unfortunately none of my friends 'round these parts are qualified for that kind of difficulty, at least not without extreme amounts of clearing the path for them.

I couldn't stand co-op Halo 2 on legendary. that stupid "revert to last checkpoint when someone dies" thing got annoying.

I am an absolute god at Campaign! I beat the entire thing on legendary in one day on solo and my brother and I beat it on legendary in 4 hours. Don't beat it on co-op just for the achievement though. While solo is very frustrating, it has such a satisfying end.

Oh, and does anyone else have the katana here? I do yay!!!!!! (cheated but ehh)

I need to finish all the meta-game achievements... and a few more online things and, of course, Campaign on Legendary.

It sounds like I'm about as good as you at the campaign (though as I said, I don't have any friends in my immediate vicinity that are decent enough to keep up on co-op

), and I WOULD have the katana... but I don't have xbox live. I've got every non-live achievement and I'm good enough against my peeps on system-link that I think I could do well enough on live to get the katana.... I want it so bad.
